The retreat will take place at Le Bristol Hotel, a full four-star service hotel in a quiet south-facing corner of Leukerbad, Switzerland. Leukerbad is a small German-speaking village with about 1,500 inhabitants. Nestling in the midst of the Valaisan mountains, it has the most number of hot springs of any Alpine location. Its position in the center of the canton makes it the ideal starting point for excursions to the Lötschental Valley in Upper Valais, Kandersteg, Crans Montana, or Zermatt for cosmopolitan occasions.
Located at the heart of Valais at an altitude of 1,411 meters between the Daubenhorn, Balmhorn, and Torrenthorn mountains, Leukerbad is the favorite destination of those who love the tranquility of Switzerland, its pure air, and its breathtaking panoramic views. This natural site is among the most popular in Switzerland.

Sit back in their bright, spacious restaurant and admire the fantastic views through large picture windows and look across to the Daubenhorn and over to their parkland and pools. Le Bristol Hotel's cuisine focuses above all on fresh, high-quality local food. Menus vary according to season and include flavors of the Mediterranean, vegetarian diets, and children meals. And for a perfect start to the day, their breakfast buffet offers a wide choice of quality products.
The 10-kilometer-long Gemmi Pass links Leukerbad with Kandersteg in the canton of Berne. This famous, precipitous route is steeped in history and has been in use since at least the Roman era. Today, the pass is still very popular with hikers and offers snowshoe trails, cross-country skiing, and a great toboggan run in the winter.
Located 2,200 meters above sea level on the historical Gemmi Pass, this Alpine lake turns into Leukerbad's cross-country skiing center in winter. In summer, it is the ideal place to cool off and try kite-surfing. Every year in July, it is where you will find the "Shepherds" Festival with its folklorist events.
The thermal spring path that runs through the Dala Gorge is less than one kilometer from the village square. Open from May to October, the footbridge extends into the gorge, right in the riverbed where the thermal springs emerge.
The path crosses the resort heading in the direction of the Dala Gorges. En route, hikers can find nine information panels explaining the various categories of springs in Leukerbad and the geological, historical, medical, and scientific aspects of the thermal waters.
Leukerbad has the longest via ferrata in Switzerland (a trail somewhere between climbing, hiking, and mountaineering, practiced along vertical rock faces). It is deemed as having an extreme level of difficulty. The via ferrata runs across the cliffs of the Daubenhorn above Leukerbad.
Please book your flight to arrive at Zurich Airport (ZRH) or Geneva Airport (GVA). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request.
"I would highly recommend this retreat. The yoga classes were expertly taught, with the opportunity to challenge yourself with new poses as well as deepening your existing practice. Vinyasa classes in the morning and yin in the evening provided the perfect balance. The thermal baths in the hotel were the perfect complement to the yoga, helping to relax and release the body. Leukerbad itself is a stunning environment and gives you the chance to take in the great outdoors in between the yoga classes, with hiking and skiing on offer."
