Enjoy a beautiful and calming holiday in the Greek island of Mykonos. The location plays a vital role in the yoga retreats. Enjoy long hours of sunshine in the summers, with the island's flora and fauna, fresh and bursting into life. It serves as the perfect setting to sharpen your yoga skills and to escape the daily grind and spring clean, to shake off the winter cobwebs and gloom.
The maximum participants in the group is 18.
The temporary yoga home is nestled on the north coast of Mykonos in the beautiful bay of Panormos. You will stay in a beautifully designed complex of luxury Panormos Beach Villas that will provide you with beautiful accommodation and stunning views, thus giving us the best of both natural and man-made worlds. The sheltered Panormos beach, directly below the villas, is a perfect location for occasional beach yoga, morning, and sunset meditation.
The villa's shaded terraces offer spacious areas to practice yoga as they are steeped in glorious island scenery and sea air. The luxury villas are built in the traditional Cycladic style surrounded by sweeping landscaped terraces where you can enjoy the spring sunshine, relax in sheltered nooks, or bathe in the turquoise infinity pool.
Twin, double, and single occupancy accommodations can be provided in one of the luxury sea view villas with all the luxury villas facilities at your disposal. Every villa has its own kitchen, should you wish to cater your own lunch or prepare snacks and drinks. The combination of villas used depends on the final size of the group. Bedrooms and villas will be allocated depending on whether the guests request single or shared occupancy, and in order of a booking being received.
All the rooms and villas are so delightful that even late comers to the group will not be disappointed. Fresh bed linen, towels and daily villas cleaning services are also provided.
Elisa works hard to create a practice that can be adapted to suit all-comers. The yoga will comprise the spectrum between dynamic and deeply restorative yoga gently. You can do as much or as little as you please. Yoga will take place in the morning and late afternoon with 10 yoga sessions of varying lengths and content. There is never any pressure for yoga guests to take part in every yoga session and non-participating partners are always most welcome to the yoga holidays.
Elisa doesn't belong to any particular school of yoga and teaches in a spontaneous, non-dogmatic way. Students work at their own pace with a strong emphasis on taking what they need that day from the practice and leaving out what they do not need. Five morning yoga and five early evening yoga classes will be taken throughout the week.
The morning yoga sessions will comprise of more dynamic and energetic flow yoga with modifications offered to suit the individual levels of students and Pranayama (breathing techniques). These classes will be followed by a healthy and nourishing Mediterranean breakfast prepared from the freshest locally sourced ingredients. There will six evening meals included leaving one evening free to venture into Mykonos Town for dinner.
This will be followed by a guided relaxation or visualizing meditation. The late afternoon or early evening yoga classes will include slower asana practice, with some poses held longer for deepening, Yin yoga, gentle and Restorative sessions, Pranayama, guided relaxations, yoga Nidra, and guided meditations.
Elisa has over 25 years of yoga experience. Since 2004, she has been teaching many weekly open yoga classes, yoga workshops and private yoga students in a variety of West London locations. Elisa also runs overseas yoga holidays and yoga retreats, which are a fantastic, extended opportunity to explore yoga with others - both on and off the mat.

Guests will be welcomed with a delicious welcome meal. A healthy and nourishing Mediterranean breakfast prepared from the freshest locally sourced ingredients is provided every day. Evening meals for six nights are included, while an evening has been purposely been left free to try out one of the local restaurants.
The buzz of Mykonos Town is just five kilometers away, should you wish to sample the island's famous nightlife, wealth of superb restaurants, bars and boutiques, but could be the other side of the earth, if you want an entire week of pure escapism. The delightful natural beaches of Panormos Bay and Agios Sostis are both close by. These unspoilt beaches are where you can spend time gazing out at the stunning views of the Aegean sea with the expansive cerulean blue of the sky overhead.
