Mauritius, in the heart of the Mascarene archipelago and Indian Ocean, invites you for a week retreat of yoga, meditation, voyage, and discovery. The program includes daily outdoor yoga classes in exceptional settings. You will enjoy sunsets at the sound of the kirtan music around a campfire on the beach; hiking in the beautiful mountains and tropical forests; kayaking on the Tamarin River; planting a new tree on Ile-Aux-Aigrettes in the most ecological way; and releasing your body and mind with Ayurvedic massage.

You will spend seven nights in our specially selected residences; five nights at the beautiful Shanti Ghar Guest-House in the west of the island and two nights in the peaceful Andrea Lodge on the South-East coast. Both places have been chosen for their beauty, standards, comfort, and warmth when it comes to getaway far from home and yet still feel at home in this paradisiac island.

  • Arrival and check-in at Shanti Ghar on the west coast

  • Introduction to pranayama, meditation, and asanas

Sunday - 14th January 2018

  • 10:00 Departure for a full day excursion starting at Ile-Aux-Aigrettes Nature Reserve to plant a new tree, followed by snorkeling in the enchanting Marine Park of Blue Bay (vegetarian meal is included in the excursion)

  • Méli Yogini

    Méli Yogini was trained in Bali by teachers who learned from the master Yogi T.Krishna Macharya, known world-wide for his practice of Ayurveda, and she is graduated with a 500-hours RYS license from the International Yoga Alliance. Furthermore, her skills as a Sports Instructor graduated from the French Sports Federation will allow you a targeted and evolving support whether you are a beginner or an experienced Yogi. She now teaches Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa, and Yin Yoga. Méli believes in a gentle practice which respects the body and mind in its entirety.

Mauritius Island with its blue lagoons and crystal clear waters is gifted with the most beautiful beaches of the world, whereas its sunrises and sunsets takes your breath away at every moment.

At night a fairy of stars dances in the sky and invites you right where time stops for a week to fill yourself with joy, youth and happiness. This immersion journey with nature will let you unite your body and your mind, to have a physical activity with the intensity of your choice and to be re-tonified and in great shape for the rest of the year.
