This yoga retreat will take place at the beautiful historic villa, named Zamagna in the bay of Zaton just outside of Dubrovnik. This 400-year-old stone summer house was one of the first such homes of its kind in quiet Zaton Bay where the aristocracy of old Dubrovnik came to retreat for the summer months. For many years this particular villa has been passed down through the same family line and is opening its doors to receive guests. It's a unique look into the history of Dubrovnik and its beautiful people.

The venerable stone guest house at water's edge enjoys a peaceful location on the quiet bay against a backdrop of steep, rocky hills and cultivated terraces. The residence is set among an exquisite garden with vine-covered trellises, carefully designed to showcase a variety of colorful blooming flowers and fragrant herbs, fruits, and vegetables. A small chapel nearby is part of the residence, donated by the ancestors of the Zamagna family to the local community and still in use for church ceremonies.

Inside the villa the original design and look of the main rooms and salon were preserved, while the rest of the house was recently completely renovated, including all the guestrooms, to a more modern style. Rooms are spacious, and enjoy views towards the garden or the bay, with wooden furniture, private bathrooms, and fresh linens.

Yoga

Daily meditation and yoga classes will be offered in a way to relax, stimulate, and help guests grow in their own personal practice. Classes are open to all levels, beginner to practiced, and can range from gentle, meditative, and more vigorous Ashtanga styles.

Style and class levels will be determined and moulded to fit participating students' needs, and with a small intimate retreat class size, students will be able to get personalized attention and comfortability to deeply explore their practice. Classes will be held in a open space inside the villa and/or in an outdoor space under the shade of the garden trees.

Workshops

  • Energizing and clarifying your dreams
  • Connecting with others and this world on a deeper level
  • Discovering powerful creative tools for the subconscious using journals, images, and affirmations
  • Boosting awareness of yourself and how you’re creating your life
  • Changing the stories and beliefs holding you back from having exactly what you want!

This retreat is part of the give back initiative, where EPM will donate at least 10% of profits to a humanitarian partner in the community where each retreat is held. Their partner in Croatia is the Croatian Scholarship Fund with the purpose of providing university scholarships for Croatian students who could not otherwise afford a higher education.

Guests will not only enjoy the villa and encompassing estate, but also the beauty of the bay, ocean, and nearby towns including Dubrovnik. Zaton Bay is a perfect location to retreat and get away from the day-to-day life. Located just minutes away from the bustling excitement of the city of Dubrovnik and its Old Town, the bay allows for a more quiet repose to enjoy the natural beauty, the waters, mountains, and vistas. Everyday we'll get to experience new sites, sounds, tastes, and experiences of the region and Croatian culture.

Day trips will allow guests to add arts, culture, adventure, and natural beauty to their retreat experience. Trips may include visits to towns and small villages in the region, as well as outdoor activities. A gorgeous spa day is included where guests can swim, lounge at the spa facilities overlooking the ocean and mountains, enjoy spa treatments, or simply enjoy the sun. See smaller villages that few tourists go, and get a true education and taste of Croatia with various tastings of regional wines, aperitifs, and cheeses.

  • Erin Lewis

Erin has studied various types of yoga disciplines since 1998, concentrating on the Ashtanga discipline since 2008. • Michelle Lee

After leading a successful 13-year career in the corporate world, Michelle transitioned her career into a life and financial consultant, retreat organizer and leader, and internationally certified yoga instructor following her passions and sharing this with others around the globe. She now leads the "Move and Manifest" retreats which, besides yoga, adds workshops for life development, manifesting your dreams, and vision board creation.

This yoga retreat will be held at the beautiful historic villa located in the bay of Zaton which offers a serene environment to enjoy the natural beauty, the waters, mountains, and vistas whilst just minutes away from the bustling excitement of the city of Dubrovnik, the nearest city in the neighborhood. "Thanks for another incredible adventure! Croatia is beautiful, and I really feel I got to see the best-of-it, with the itinerary you created!...I especially enjoyed the yoga and meditation. I feel more encouraged than I have previously to incorporate both into my day-to-day life, especially the meditation! Thanks again, and see you soon!"

"This was my first Yoga retreat (I attended with my girlfriend) and it was terrific. Erin has created a great concept and runs a great business. She said she loves to travel and she loves yoga and she has merged these passions into a very unique experience. The yoga was technically pure and diverse without the rigid atmosphere you might expect. The day trips were a mix of city, village, and nature environments. The accommodations and itinerary allowed us to make new friends. In fact, many of our new friends told us that this is the way they travel because of what Erin has put together. You eat well, have sessions of yoga, see parts of the world you will never see againall in one week!"

"What a treat it was to experience France for the first time with EAT.PRAY.MOVE. Erin was a wonderful host who led thoughtful, challenging, and accessible classes in addition to daily excursions that provided a view of the Provenal region from many different angles. The accommodations and landscapes were breathtaking and I couldnt ask for a better group to share the week with. I returned with new friends, a renewed love of yoga, and inspired to travel more. Thank you Erin and EAT.PRAY.MOVE for a memorable experience!"

Along with Erin, Maryam and Chris were so welcoming and made us feel so comfortable. Peacock Pavilions was an amazing and perfect setting for EPM. "I have always had a love of travel and a spirit of adventure, but as an almost 69-year old single woman, I believed my opportunities were limited and tame. Then EAT.PRAY.MOVE came into my life and boy am I hooked! I signed up for the September trip to Marrakech and it was one of the finest travel experiences of my life. The accommodations were beautiful, the service. Wonderful, the feeling of family and good friends surrounded us. Instead of being in a hotel, with the usual hotel culture, I was able to experience a true Moroccan lifestyle, including delicious food served on a delightful porch near the beautiful pool during the day and in a picturesque tent in the evening. The activities were fabulous: walking around in the walled old city with shopping galore, going on a day trip to a beach town, including riding a camel, (I fantasized being Lawrence of Arabia) and dining in exceptional Marrakech restaurants. We received henna treatments and spent an afternoon at a spa. Of course, there was yoga and meditation every day, too. It was a wonderful, exciting and affordable trip. I cant wait to see next years schedule!"

Not only was the trip perfectly planned to include a fantastic cultural experience... the yoga sessions (twice a day) and instruction took me to a deeper level of practice. Erin really took the time to help me improve and excel each day of the retreat. This will not me my last EAT.PRAY.MOVE trip...cant wait to see what she is planning for next year!!!"

"My wife and I have participated on four EPM retreats. Each time we have been completely captivated by the experience. The locations are absolutely spectacular. The food and wine is local, healthy, fresh and delicious. The daily trips are personal, structured (but not overly so), enthralling, adventurous and chic. This is not your uncles travel guide tour. Erin offers an intimate and deeply restorative experience. It is invitation to form lifetime friendships with people who are curious, joyful and fun. Many times we feel like we are not only getting a sense for a place but being invited to peer behind the veil and see what is invisible to many travelers, all informed by Erins appreciative eye for beauty, story and style. Finally the yoga is inclusive and healing. I love the music, the settings, the flow and Erins ability to meet you where you are at in your practice.Eat, Pray, Move is our first choice for international travel, personal restoration and inspiration. We highly recommend the experience!"

Along with two of my members, we joined Erin in Provence and took advantage of this fabulous retreat! Erin was great to find a perfect balance of yoga, adventure and a spa day that was wonderful. I would definitely join Erin again at another retreat in the near future. I loved her yoga practice and her well organized daily excursion trips. "The Tuscany retreat was that good that I signed up for the next one! It delivered beyond my expectations. I was showered with warmth at Julian and Amanda's stunning villa where the views are to die for! The day excursions and yoga were well balanced and afforded time for quite relaxation. My energy levels were always at a high thanks to the daily serving of fresh and wholesome Italian cuisine. Erin created a class atmosphere which was focused yet fun. As a Yoga teacher myself I found Erins years experience hugely beneficial, her wealth of knowledge tailored both to myself and Yoga newbies. She is extremely travel savvy and had plenty of recommendations about the must-sees and dos of Italy. This is handy if, like myself, you want to extend your trip. I have been to many yoga retreats but this one stands out as the best. It's contemporary, cost effective but luxurious. Another bonus of the retreat was meeting a variety of personalities. I still stay in contact with some members of our group and we plan to meet at the next retreat.(Ischia) If you desire a getaway which explores culture and personal wellbeing then Eat Pray Move is for you! Thanks Erin, can't wait for the next adventure."

The yoga classes were very accessible for all levels and Erin tailored the classes to meet everyones level. The accommodations were very welcoming and comfortable, it almost felt surreal to be staying in a beautiful Tuscan villa overlooking the rolling hills of Tuscany and Umbria. The food was amazing and didnt leave you hungry just wanting more because it was so delicious! This was my first time in Italy so I really loved the day excursions and getting to explore Florence and other nearby hilltop towns. The small group setting was perfect and allowed people to get to know one another and forge new friendships. I would recommend an Eat.Pray.Move Yoga Retreat to anyone. It exceeded my expectations!
