Amanda accidentally stumbled upon a beach yoga class in Hawaii ten years ago and has been hooked ever since. Yoga for her started as simply a way to work out, but has since become a way to practice mindfulness both on and off the mat. Her teaching has also evolved since she was first certified in 2009. She now teaches vinyasa, hatha, and restorative yoga and often brings meditation and chanting into the practice. Amanda's favorite part of teaching is working with new yoga teachers to deepen their own practice and help them find an authentic voice.

Blessed to live most of that time in NYC, she regularly studied a variety of styles including Jivamukti, Dharma Mittra, & some Kundalini, when not managing some of New York's finest restaurants. Her passion for food and community eventually took a turn toward yoga when she finally took her first teacher training in 2008 from YogaWorks NYC.
