The accommodation options at Earth Yoga Village are on single and double room basis. The beautiful and comfortable village holds space for up to 25 guests, a small health food cafe, two yoga shalas, two healing and rejuvenation spaces, a healing water tank, a small library, and a chill out area. The rooms available at the village are beautifully inspired by Rajasthani designs and come with an open-air bathroom.

Earth Yoga Village understands that each individual being is special and unique with a different focus and at a different stage in their lives. During the the mindful satsang, you will gather to open your heart and mind with a focus on living the life you love and loving the life you live, through various spiritual activities such as lectures, interactive discussions, different types of meditation, and questions and answers.

Please note that three hours per day or 18 hours per week are dedicated to your karma yoga practice, engaging in community work. The work can include reception and kitchen help, cleaning and keeping the dinning area neat, building online and offline awareness, assisting classes and activities, etc.

Saturday is the community day in the village where guests are encouraged to cook together in the communal kitchen. It is also a great opportunity to explore the many other beach restaurants in Palolem and around. There will be no check-ins or check-outs on Saturdays.

On your day of arrival please feel free to check in anytime from 2 p.m. You are welcome to join the program according to the daily schedule at any point after that. On your departure day, you are invited to join the last meditation and asana class in the morning and you can prepare to leave after brunch and feedback around 2 p.m. Check-out time is 11 a.m.

    Sivananda Ashram in Kerala, India (Vipassana Yoga)

    Anand is an ex-banker who said goodbye to his office job in 2012 to start his journey back to his inner self through yoga, meditation, and other spiritual practices. Anand trained and graduated from Sivananda Ashram in Kerala in 2012 and finished his master of yoga in 2016. He lives by the motto love the life you live and live the life you love.

  • Amanda Larson-Mekler

    Amanda accidentally stumbled upon a beach yoga class in Hawaii ten years ago and has been hooked ever since. Yoga for her started as simply a way to work out, but has since become a way to practice mindfulness both on and off the mat. Her teaching has also evolved since she was first certified in 2009. She now teaches vinyasa, hatha, and restorative yoga and often brings meditation and chanting into the practice. Amanda's favorite part of teaching is working with new yoga teachers to deepen their own practice and help them find an authentic voice.

  • Kathrin

    Kathrin grew up in the beautiful Austrian countryside, which laid the foundation for her strong connection to mother nature. Having experimented with different nutritional systems for more than 10 years, she came in touch with Ayurveda during her first trip to India in 2007. This very individualized approach of Ayurveda deeply resonated with Kathrin and she decided to return to India to study the art of Ayurveda right where it’s coming from. For the past 7 years Kathrin has been living mostly in India and Nepal where she has deepened her knowledge in Ayurveda, Yoga, Meditation & Energy work.

    Zooni wears many hats and is a curious spirit. She has always been involved in cooking, hosting guests and sharing food and conversation were an essential part of the family life. She became serious about yoga some six years ago, something to remind her of her child gym and dance steps and was hooked right away. She walked in to Sivananda Ashram in 2014 without expectation and with an open heart and became a yoga teacher. She followed her own try self and kept travelling teaching yoga. She is now sharing the light with other and combining both her hospitality and spiritual skills.

    Driven by positive change in her life & love for yogic life style she decided to fully embrace it, by dedicating all her energy into it. She loves to support and help others with yoga and yoga therapy to find balance, be healthy and get empowered to follow their heart. Sylvie is grateful to be able to share positive vibes, as well as spiritual experience on and off the mat.     Mahadevi has pursued her studies in yoga diligently for over 18 years. Blessed to live most of that time in NYC, she regularly studied a variety of styles including Jivamukti, Dharma Mittra, & some Kundalini, when not managing some of New York's finest restaurants. Her passion for food and community eventually took a turn toward yoga when she finally took her first teacher training in 2008 from YogaWorks NYC. Now her practice and teaching focus on finding the meditation and stillness within the postures individually as a means to restore and rejuvenate our bodies and quiet our minds.

The retreat will be held in Palolem Beach, Goa, India. Palolem Beach is largely unspoiled and is inhabited by both local fishermen and by foreign tourists who live in shacks along the shore or in the main village. The location offers an ideal place to explore the stunning beaches, beautiful local villages, and surrounding nature outside of your retreat schedule.

  • Ayurvedic aroma oil massage

The sacred Indian herbs Neem and Tulsi protect skin cells from age-related damage while boosting the production of collagen and elastin.

  • Traditional Indian rejuvenation bath

Besan or gram flour has traditionally been used for its beauty and health benefits. It is mainly used to cleanse and exfoliate the skin by removing dead cells, excess sebum and toxins effectively. Arrival by bus

There are bus services with a regular interval of 30 minutes from the beach to the Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC) bus depot in Margao. The nearest KTC deport is in Canacona. The village is located at the north end of the beach near Cozy Nook resort.

Arrival by train

The nearest railway station is Canacona, which can be reached from the Madgoan junction railway station in just 30 minutes.

Arrival by taxi

If you have requested for Earth Yoga Village to organize your taxi, transfers are valid between aforementioned locations only, they are not transferable to another location, nor refundable. Taxis can take no more than three guests per car. Please only take the taxi that has been booked for you as you will be liable to pay for the cost for the pre-booked taxi. Additional charges will have to be paid for delays over one hour.

    "After spending one week partying in Arambol and a couple days lounging in Palolem I decided to try EYV as a friend I had met on the bus down to palolem had recommended it. I am very keen about yoga and was looking for a nice beach retreat so after doing only online research I found EYV to be the more affordable option. I came with no reservation and was given a hut the next day. The location was spectacular, very secluded away from all the action of Palolem, had to walk across the beach and over a wooded bridge across the river, although remote, you never need to leave, they supply endless amounts of drinking water, the food is cooked there for you and it's a great place to hang out. The staff was awesome, 3 great, passionate, incredibly friendly and resourceful instructors who felt more like friends at the end of the retreat. The food was the best I've eaten in 2 months in idea, fresh fruit and healthy vegetarian meals leave your body feeling amazing. The huts although simple had everything you need, beds, sheets, towels, soap, toilet paper, fans and electricity for charging devices, open air bathroom with hot showers. Great community living space. If your into getting a excellent massage they can be booked and delivered in the yoga shala and they are great. If your in it for just the yoga, or meditation you can drop into any classes and they are reasonably priced. The yoga was excellent offering Vinyasa, hatha and yin along with pranyama and buddhist styles of meditation and a excellent afternoon group discussion session after breakfast."

    "Truly the most stunning place, hidden off the end of Palolem Beach. The owner, Anand, has decorated the whole place so nicely making it a little paradise and completely different than anywhere else nearby. The yoga and meditation teachers are phenomenal and it is suitable for all levels from beginner and on. The food is delicious and the rooms are clean and well equipped with all essentials. I went by myself for a week and made some lovely friends who I am still in touch with. Really fun, peaceful, and helpful to my yoga and meditation practice!"

    "I had a wonderful time staying in the Village for six nights - the yoga, food and surroundings were fantastic, and the atmosphere laid back and happy. The village itself is in the beautiful jungle, just away from the main beach at Palolem, and it is lovely. The yoga and meditation teachers were all brilliant, including Anand who runs the place- I really enjoyed his Hatha and pranayama / meditation classes. You can also drop in to classes if you are staying elsewhere. "

    "Me and my boyfriend enjoyed our time we spent in Earth yoga village very much. The yoga classes were excellent let by very experienced and knowledgeable teachers. We did an intro to Ayurveda course which was very informative and really fun. The leader of the course was as well amazing and with a lot of experience and knowledge. The environment could not be better, really quiet with nice and airy huts. I would definitely recommend Earth Yoga Village and would love to visit the place again. Thank you all for the great time we had."

    "Me and three of my friends dropped in for a morning session with yoga teacher Anand. It is the first time I have ever tried yoga. Even though the group were at different level Anand made sure that we should push our body within our physical limits. I am very stiff and struggled in the beginning with the positions but Anand was a great teacher and helped me through the session so I managed to get most of it by the end of the class. Me and my friends all agreed we had a good time and felt comfortable throughout the class even though two of us were beginners. I hear they have a lot of longer courses as well, unfortunately we did not have the time to try it out. But when in Goa you have to try yoga and I recommend this place!"
