Earth Yoga Village's beautiful and comfortable community holds space for up to 38 guests, an on-site kitchen where all the delicious meals are prepared with love, two yoga shalas, two healing and rejuvenation spaces, a small library, and a chill-out area. The jungle beach huts available at the village are beautifully inspired by Rajasthani designs and come with an open-air bathroom. Bed linen, pillows, towels (not for beach use), mosquito nets, and blankets (if you need them) are provided.



The hours count as Continuing Education hours for Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®) only.

Yin yoga

Yin yoga deals with a subtler aspect of your being, letting you go deeper into yourselves. You are moving from the structured body to the energetic with the help of myofascial compartment and median channels to develop a functional, mindful approach to the practice.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) is a wonderful deep relaxation that supports your asana (physical yoga) practice helping you to find deep rest and stillness. It reduces daily stress by teaching pratyahara - turning attention inward for your own healing awareness, and Dharana - concentration, meditation to deepen your yoga.

A high degree of self-motivation is required for all aspects of the course. Basic knowledge of yoga postures and philosophy is helpful. A sincere desire to learn and an open mind to the teachings of yoga is required. Self-discipline is required during the course as it is physically, mentally, and spiritually demanding - and also highly rewarding!

Earth Yoga Village encourages students to apply for the course when they are fully ready on a holistic level and committed to meeting the challenges of the course and accepting the joys with an open heart. These are important attributes that will add to your learning experience during the course and also to the learning experience of your fellow students.

This course will be taught in English; therefore, it is recommended that you are proficient in the language. To ensure the success of the program, participants are required to attend all spiritual activities, meditation sessions, lectures, and asana classes.

Saturdays are your days off. You will be engaged in doing karma yoga voluntarily in your free time during the teacher training to learn and practice yoga holistically. Day one is dedicated to you settling into the village and attending the opening ceremony in the late afternoon/evening, followed by dinner.

Earth Yoga Village, therefore, suggests you arrive at the village at the latest by 2 p.m. on day one to not miss out. The closing ceremony will be on the day before the departure day of the course, the rest day of Saturday followed by departure on the last day. Check-out time is 11 a.m. You may also choose to do other therapies while you are on this retreat.

This course will take place in Goa, India. Set among lush green jungle within a 30-meter walk to a paradise beach, you will find the village to be extremely peaceful and an ideal place to relax. It is your refuge from a busy life and is conveniently located in South Goa on the beautiful beach of Palolem which is known for its blissful vibes, laid back people, and stunning nature.

Palolem Beach is largely unspoiled and is inhabited by both local fishermen and by foreign tourists who live in shacks along the shore or in the main village. The location offers an ideal place to explore the stunning beaches, beautiful local villages, and surrounding nature outside of your retreat schedule.

How to get there

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Goa International Aiport (GOI). Earth Yoga Village can organize pick-up on request at an extra charge of INR 1,800 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and INR 2,000 from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. The driver will assist you all the way to the village with your luggage without any extra charge or tips. In case of a flight delay, you will have to pay INR 200 per hour after the first hour extra, and it is payable to the driver directly.

Arrival by train

The nearest railway station from the village is Canacona train station which can be reached from the Madgoan junction railway station in just 30 minutes.

Arrival by bus

There are bus services at a regular interval of 30 minutes from the beach to the Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC) bus depot in Margao. The nearest KTC depot is in Canacona. The village is located at the north end of the beach near the Cozy Nook resort.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
