This training will focus on the cultivation of an enriched Pranic field and an in-depth investigation of Buddhist philosophical principles, which you will mingle with psychological self-inquiry and awareness practices in Yin yoga asanas. This course offers advanced anatomy and physiology, Yin ad Yang posture clinics/asana labs, Restorative yoga, neuro-physiology of the autonomic nervous system, traditional Chinese medicine meridians, and methods for routine mindfulness.
During this training, you will be staying at Mantiou Spring’s SunMountain Center in shared accommodation. You can also request for a private or double room accommodation.
The center is nestled near the base of Pikes Peak and adjacent to the majestic Garden of the Gods Park. The SunMountain Center is a creative sanctuary for wellness and serenity. It is steeped in history and local lore, the two historic Manitou Springs.
The CO properties offer lodging accommodations with miles of rustic walking, meditation trails, and an on-site organic farm. The world-class urban farm property provides inspiration through nature, art, and locally sourced cuisine. The six acres of terraced gardens with stunning views of the surrounding mountains are home to chickens, geese, and rabbits, as well as Jezebel the resident pig.
This is a world away from the hustle and bustle of city living, SunMountain is the perfect retooling and refueling escape with the neighboring SunWater spa, hot mineral springs, and Garden of the Gods.
This training gives 20-hours credit with Yoga Alliance Continuing Education for Registered Yoga Teachers. This training intensive will focus on the facilitation of Yin and Restorative Yoga for trauma healing and psychological wellness. Using philosophical cornerstones of Buddhism and Chinese medicine, Durga Excursions investigate methods to rest in the immediacy of the moment and heal themselves and their practitioners.
As yoga facilitators and practitioners, you must acknowledge every body comes with either recent or ancient wounds to their yoga mat. Integrating wisdom disciplines with the psychological understanding of the nervous system, musculo-skeletal response to stress, and longevity of connective tissue, they will provide a format for responding to the fluctuations of a life lived in awareness.
Internationally celebrated yoga teacher, Kali Basman enriches the paradigm of Yin yoga to integrate distinct aspects of self into an innate wisdom practice to awaken a rich inner life and radiate with ritual. Her offering honors Yin yoga is a tool to surrender to the intrinsic wholeness. On the textured path of mindful healing, Kali is celebrated for her integration of the 5 Elements and Chinese Meridian Theory with self-inquiry, embodied anatomy, Buddhist philosophy of equanimity, and sharp intellect. She leads training and retreats around the world.
Kylie Roswell is an energetic Vinyasa and Iyengar instructor spreading joy through yoga. Teaching from her heart-center, she connects the origins of love and spontaneous flow to refined dedication to a structured practice. Kylie is known to weave intentional Mantra music with her well-traveled ukulele, who has guest starred in yoga classes in India, Bali, and beyond.

During this training, you will be served with daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In the kitchen at SunMountain Center, they prepare vegetarian, gluten-free, and organic meals for all trainees. They utilize the biodynamic agriculture of the property with an emphasis on creating healing cuisine.
Incorporating foods from the farm and the kitchen garden, as well as making use of the local mineral water to ensures the highest quality and intention goes into each and every meal prepared.
At SunMountain Center, they are committed to consciously growing their own food in a sustainable way so that you may live in harmony with Mother Earth. The kitchen staff strives to create food that is not only meant to be healthy but also beautiful an appeals to all the senses.
Located less than half a mile away, Downtown Manitou Springs features an array of eclectic shops, historical sites, and mineral springs. It is about 5-minutes by car or a 15-minute of walking distance. SunWater Spa is half a mile down the road, many of the more adventurous guests choose to do the 15-minute walk to the spa. If you would prefer to drive, it would be a 3-minute drive.
Garden of the Gods is just half of a mile away, it is 3 minutes by car or a 15-minute of walking distance from SunMountain Center. To get to the Manitou Incline, you can walk or drive half a mile down west on El Paso Boulevard to the free shuttle stop at Memorial Park. The shuttle runs every 15-minute, it will bring you right to the base of the incline where your adventure begins. The Incline is closed from September through December. Otherwise, the incline is open daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Tuition includes free hot springs soak and spa access at Sunwellness Spa located just 15 minutes away walking from the retreat center. You may book spa treatments in advance.
Please book your flight to arrive at Denver International Airport (DEN) or Colorado Springs Airport (COS). SunMountain Center is located about an hour and a half from the Denver International Airport. Whereas Colorado Springs Airport is 25-minutes from the retreat center. SunMountain suggests that guests rent cars or vans for your stay. There are many guests carpool with other attendees.
If arriving at the Denver International Airport, the most economical option is generally a door-to-door service such as transit van shuttle or door-to-door shuttle. The cabs are also available from the Denver International Airport directly to SunMountain Center.
If you are looking for other ground transportation and arrived at the Colorado Springs Airport. You are recommended to use Lyft, Uber, a yellow-cab, or other cab services. As they are the most economical and efficient mode of local transportation.
