If you're in need of a rejuvenating break then take a few days away to walk through some of the world's most beautiful scenery, the landscape of North Wales. This three-day yoga holiday will include mornings of Dru Yoga and meditation, followed by a delicious lunch then afternoon guided walks in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park or the coastal paths of Anglesey. The walks will be around 4 hours long, including breaks, and will take you to mountains, forests, waterfalls and lakes.
You'll also enjoy de-stressing relaxation sessions and optional therapies to help you to relax and re-charge. This holiday is from Friday evening till Monday lunchtime, and is suitable for people of reasonable fitness. Its an ideal introduction to the beauty of North Wales for overseas guests.

And better still, although it's less than 4 hours away from London by direct train, it's a world away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Enjoy panoramic views of the Nant Ffrancon valley in this stunningly situated stress-free environment. Towering mountains rise on either side, and from your bedroom window you can see the changing light dancing over the fields, and listen to the sheep and lambs in the surrounding fields. The peace monument's water feature is a relaxing place to sit and soak up the sunshine, or you can meditate by a mountain stream. Teaching sessions are held in our spacious yoga hall, and in between classes you can browse through our extensive yoga shop.
Easily accessible by rail and road, we are on the A5 (the historic main route from London to Ireland), 8 miles from Bangor and 3 hours' train ride from London. Snowdonia Mountain Lodge is a friendly, comfortable centre from which to explore the rugged beauty of Snowdonia National Park and the beaches of Anglesey.
Snowdonia Mountain Lodge has 21 bedrooms. All our rooms have ensuite facilities (WC and shower), and are on ground level. All our rooms have recently been refurbished and have tea and coffee-making facilities and its own free car-parking space. Bed linen, hand and bath towels are provided in the rooms.
The standard quoted price is based on sharing a (single sex) twin room. Most people are surprised to discover that the rooms are spacious and that sharing with someone is actually very pleasant and a great way to make new friends. This room has en-suite toilet and shower and/or bath, tea and coffee making facilities and its own free car-parking space.
If you are travelling on your own and wish to have more privacy, you can choose this single room option. At Snowdonia Mountain Lodge we have a small number of single rooms, which cost slightly more.
There is always something to do at Snowdonia Mountain Lodge yet many people discover that its magic is about learning to simply be. Your day can be filled with yoga sessions, guided meditations, talks on nutrition and health, extra treatments or one-to-one sessions, talks or walks in the valley. There are always many interesting people to chat to. However, if you want to be alone - it's easy to find a peaceful spot, by the World Peace Flame monument or sitting under a tree in the garden.
Dru is for everyone and you'll be surprised how quickly your body becomes more flexible when you practice regularly. Always listen to your body and don't overstretch or strain. Many people have found that Dru Yoga has helped them achieve a balanced lifestyle; including losing a few excess pounds. They have also experienced that they feel better about themselves and more in control of their thoughts, which has also helped them to sort the problems that may have caused the weight problem in the first place.
Snowdonia Mountain Lodge is situated on the A5, eight miles south of Bangor in the Nant Ffrancon Valley, Snowdonia National Park, North Wales. It is easily accessible by rail from London and Manchester, since Bangor is on the main Holyhead rail link to Ireland.
Set amidst the ancient Celtic landscape of Snowdonia, with mountains all around, the centre is in the glaciated Nant Ffrancon valley. Snowdonia Mountain Lodge was previously a motel, and has been transformed into a beautiful course centre with accommodation for bed and breakfast. It is the home of the World Peace Flame monument. The whole venue has a quiet and peaceful atmosphere.
Our catering gets rave reviews from our course participants. It's delicious lacto-ovo vegetarian cuisine, tasty and healthy, to complement the courses we run. We also cater for vegans and other special diets, such as gluten-free etc.

From the north (Manchester, Liverpool etc), leave the A55 at junction 11 and follow signs for Bethesda and Betws-y-Coed.
Drive straight through Bethesda, passing the entrance to the Ogwen Bank Caravan Park on your right.
The entrance to the course centre is about 1 mile on your left, just after a small stone chapel, where the valley opens out.
Begin to slow down when you see the road sign warning of sheep on the road.
There is a large green sign just outside the course centre.
The nearest airports are Manchester and Liverpool. The cheapest flights from Benelux are usually via Easyjet to Liverpool (www.easyjet.com). You can then travel either by train or taxi. There are regular rail services to Bangor from Manchester Airport. From Liverpool Airport, take bus 500 to Lime Street railway station.
From there you catch a train to Chester where you change to a train for Bangor. The 12 oclock flight from Amsterdam gives you plenty of time to travel to reach the course centre by 5pm. For your information, if you are interested in offsetting your CO2 emissions, do visit www.climatecare.org.
If you are coming from Benelux and are interested in a more environmental travel option, the nearest port is Hull (for P&O sailings from Rotterdam) Passengers coming to Dru courses get a special rate if coming as a group of 10 or more. You can either bring your car or come as a foot passenger on the over-night ferry cabins are available.
Get a direct train from London! Only 3.5 hours' train journey away from London Euston, Snowdonia Mountain Lodge is situated on the A5, eight miles south of Bangor and 2 miles south of Bethesda in the Nant Ffrancon Valley, North Wales.
