The light-flooded retreat house is filled with live plants for the cleanest air. You’ll be surrounded by style and design beauty both historic and modern in a gorgeous 1893 home turned minimal oasis. From the rocking chair, swing and hammock on the wide front porch to the lush green garden, there is no shortage of fresh air and open, clean space.

Each spacious room in this amazing retreat house is unique and has a private bathroom. There is one suite downstairs that is reserved for those with mobility issues.

Program

This is your retreat and alone time is yours for the taking. You will gather regularly throughout the day and come together for a relaxed and enjoyable mealtime.

You will stroll to yoga. Some days yoga will come to you. You will go to the beach for some days. Some days, you will stay in with an art project and great music. You end your days with a relaxing and healing guided visualization session to send you off to a restful night's sleep.

Comfort, gratitude, and rejuvenation is your daily mantra with guest speakers, bodyworkers, health counselors, and artists leading creative projects like jewelry making, collage, painting and vision boards.

This is a "come as you are" safe space for women at any stage of their challenge. The purpose is self-care and holding space to experience a little or a lot of joy and release with women who understand.

Only two hours from Raleigh (by car) or NYC (by plane) and fifteen minutes from the beach, Wilmington is the perfect Southern getaway for travelers who like to learn, discover, stretch, and rest. Kayak through cypress creeks. Practice yoga in a stained-glass studio. Follow our historic neighborhood map to the Riverwalk. Explore the Gullah Geechee Heritage Corridor or shop for vintage vinyl and handmade hydrangea-pressed paper.

Your health is supported by an abundance of fresh juices and herbal teas. Gourmet feasts will have you feeling energized from the inside out. All chef-made plant-based whole food meals are included! Separate refrigerators are available for those who wish to store their own dairy or animal protein.

A two-minute stroll to downtown and the famous River Walk offers an array of shopping, dining, and people-watching along the beautiful Cape Fear River. Dreamers Welcome will even take in a relaxing boat tour. Here are some other activities you could also enjoy while you're in Wilmington.

Terra Sol Sanctuary

In 2016, three friends transformed Wilmington’s historical church on Castle Street into a friendly yoga studio with glowing stained-glass windows and gleaming wooden floors. Terra Sol offers weekly vinyasa, Pilates, and gentle yoga classes, as well as a variety of workshops from ecstatic dance to prenatal practice.

Piney Ridge Nature Preserve

Piney Ridge Nature Preserve is not only a perfect shady place to stretch your legs, but it is also home to the ADA-accessible Stanley Rehder Carnivorous Plant Garden one of the only natural places where hungry pitcher plants and exotic Venus flytraps thrive in the wild.

Thalian Hall

One of America’s oldest theaters, the elegant Thalian Hall dates back to 1858. Take in a ballet performance, a night of doo-wop, or reserve tickets for the annual Afro-American production by the Willis Richardson Players (named after Wilmington native Willis Richardson, the first black playwright to be produced on Broadway back in 1923).

Cape Fear Museum of History and Science

Just a nine-minute walk from Dreamers Welcome, the featured exhibits of Cape Fear Museum of History and Science include Michael Jordan memorabilia, an interactive robotic arm, a giant ground sloth skeleton, an outdoor "ghost forest" exhibit, and the gold Tortolani cuff of Wilmington’s Caterina Jarboro-the first black Prima Donna of the American Grand Opera.

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 21 days before arrival.
