Join Down Dog Sedona for a rejuvenating, fulfilling, and enriching retreat experience in the vortices of Sedona's healing energy. Let go of what no longer serves you well, find balance in yourself, and manifest current and future positive outcomes and possibilities.
Participants will be staying at the Hampton Inn, which is located across the street from Down Dog Sedona, where the group will be holding practice, workshops, and sound healing sessions.
The hotel has a beautiful property with amazing views of the red rocks of Sedona and is against the backdrop of Thunder Mountain and Coffee Pot Rock, as well as facing Airport Mesa and the Airport Vortex.
There is an outdoor heated pool, which is open from 07:00 to 22:00 daily. There is also a fitness center and a business center. They have adjoining rooms as well. If you are planning to attend with some friends and would like to request adjoining rooms, please send an inquiry and let Down Dog Sedona know so they can request that at the time of booking.
The hotel stay includes a buffet breakfast and is a pet-friendly hotel. If you choose to bring your pet, please let them know, and they will make accommodations for an additional fee. Sedona is a very pet-friendly town, as are its trails!
For Friday afternoon, Down Dog Sedona has planned a yoga hike! Participants will be leaving the property and traveling to a trail to hike to a location to hold a yoga practice on the land.
Down Dog Sedona is permitted for operation on the Coconino National Forest by the U.S. Forest Service, and depending on the group size, they may need to divide the group into two smaller groups for the hike and yoga.
If you do not want to practice yoga, they ask that you stay near the group so participants can all stay together on the hike back to the transportation.
On Saturday morning, participants will all travel to a vortex location for a healing tour on the land. In the evening, Down Dog Sedona has a group dinner planned. Dinner is not included in the retreat rate.
Elle Everett is an E-RYT 500 Instructor, an Ayurveda Health Counselor, as well as a Reiki Master. She combines the energetic work and Ayurveda principles in her yoga practices to create balance and harmony in every session whether it is a restorative practice or a more energizing power flow. She is passionate about helping others become more balanced and feeling more like their authentic selves and moved to Sedona to integrate the beauty and the healing of the energy of the land into her practices.
Participants will be staying in West Sedona, at a hotel within walking distance to Down Dog Sedona, Whole Foods, and several restaurants and shops with views of Thunder Mountain, Coffee Pot, Chimney Rock, and Airport Mesa. The beauty of staying in West Sedona is that it is the heart of Sedona, and it is where the locals live.
If you choose to not rent a car, you will be able to walk to or easily get to spa appointments, aura readings, or any other services or activities you plan to do in your free time without any commuting issues in West Sedona!
There are also trailhead shuttles as well as a town shuttle that will take you to most major attractions if you want to go outside of the immediate area.
Across the street from the hotel is Picazzo's Healthy Italian Kitchen Sedona, which has gluten-free and vegan options as well as a full menu. Another favorite is the ChocolaTree Organic Eatery, which has a beautiful outdoor garden and turmeric golden milk, as well as The Angel Kitchen, which offers rice bowls and ramen, just to name a few places that are within a five-minute walk.
Included are breakfast at the hotel and lunch (attendees will receive a 100 USD gift card to use as deemed necessary for lunch or other incidentals).
Purchasing and reading Deborah Adele's Yamas and Niyamas book for a deeper discussion on the eight limbs of yoga is recommended.
If you would like to book a Reiki or red light therapy session with Down Dog Sedona while you are there, please contact them for a reduced rate. You must book a scheduled time for these services in advance to ensure availability.
They also recommend booking any other spa appointments or aura readings well in advance before arriving in Sedona as March is a busy season and it may be difficult to find availability.
