The rooms at the Doron Yoga & Zen Center (DYZC) are simple but beautiful. Rustic, yet charming, many rooms have either a jungle, garden, or lake view. All DYZC accommodations are new, and are built for comfort and safety while being ecological. The showers have hot water, and we have western toilets (eco treatment).
The water source is from a spring supplied by the municipality and from river water that runs through the property. We have 3 private rooms with shared bathrooms. These rooms are unique and have their own painted wall murals, and other special art and decorations. There are 3 toilets, 2 showers and 2 sinks, separate from one another, so there is never wait time.
There are two lovely and spacious dormitories, which sleep 5 to 6 people and share the bathroom area. They have nice mattresses with traditional Mayan coverings, nightstands, shelves and other storage places. They have a cozy, artsy feeling.
There are also three beautiful log cabin rooms. These rooms have en-suite bathrooms, a deck with hammocks and chairs, gardens and beautiful lake view.
These rooms have skylights and a peaceful, creative energy. Bathrooms have locally sourced slate for the showers, hand carved mirrors, bamboo and wood elements. They feature local hand crafted furniture and orthopedic beds.
There are 6 spacious private rooms in our newest building Ananda with private bathrooms, decks and hammocks with stunning views. These can be deluxe double or triple rooms.
Your days begin with pranayama (breathing practices), meditation, yoga asana class and yummy nutritious superfood breakfast. You then get a break to relax, read, or go explore. We are happy to help with arranging activities such as stand up paddle, massage, market visit, volcano hike, and more.
It’s fun to just sit on your hammock or chat with new friends. It’s an easy walk to the lake or sits by the river. In the afternoons, you will deepen your meditation, explore a slow down yoga practice, learn more about your mind and behavioral patterns, release tensions and hidden emotions, and of course dance, and play!
You will soften into yin, and understand better how to make resolutions that actually work. Doron Yoga & Zen Center will guide you through meditations and intentions setting that will actually help you reach your goals.
Prepare to laugh, dance, practice some powerful yet loving yoga, focus your mind like a Jedi, and love yourself and others like never before. They offer a purifying ceremony and chanting in the sauna. Get ready to become pure!

Lake Atitlan offers a plethora of different activities, including but not limited to swimming, kayaking, and hiking. A day trip can be taken by boat or tuk-tuk to the nearby villages for sightseeing and shopping, which also has a dock where local lanchas (boat taxis) stop every 20 to 40 minutes to take you to explore other towns around the lake.
San Marcos is the closest town over and can be reached by boat, tuk-tuk or walking. There, you can relax in one of the many cafes and restaurants or partake in an array of healing offerings, including shamanism, Reiki, Maya Horoscope readings, and much more. Among others, San Pedro, a short ride to the other side of the lake, has more of a vibrant vibe and is a little less expensive. San Juan offers more hand made stores, beautiful murals, co-ops, and a small village feel.
During your free time, you can enjoy some these activities
