What makes divine light yoga trainings unique?

Divine Light Yoga trainings really are one of a kind! They focus on the therapeutic, creative approach to children’s yoga so that their trainee teachers will be inspired to create yoga classes that are a holistic experience for children of all ages and abilities. Their unique and original program, combines yoga philosophy and practices with music, dance, art, story-telling, and play.

They believe that yoga philosophy is fundamental to teaching children’s yoga which is why they incorporate this into their courses by teaching you how to creatively teach yoga philosophy to young children and teens. In addition, the program incorporates key educational philosophies, the psychology, and methodology of teaching so that you can understand how children learn in order to best teach them in a creative and meaningful manner!

What else?

All of their trainings are led by a team of highly experienced educational professionals, children’s therapists and special needs experts, who are also certified, passionate yoga teachers. Each of the trainers has a wealth of wisdom and experience and a huge amount of dedication to children’s yoga and mindfulness. Divine Light Yoga team provides a supportive, open-minded, safe space for you to connect to your inner-child, learn, and grow.

They intend for the trainings to be an enriching experience for each individual to connect, grow, and transform. Their small group trainings give each of our trainees the time and opportunity to discuss, debate, and question as well as providing ample one-on-one time with your senior trainers. Each student will have the opportunity to practice teach, within the group, on a daily basis and a minimum of two practice sessions with children. Your senior trainers will provide positive, constructive feedback based on their observations, supporting and guiding you with your development as a children’s yoga teacher.

    A really worthwhile ten days.

PROS Pros: Laura created a very wam and friendly space. She is a super patient and experienced teacher who tailored the course to meet the diverse needs of our group. I learned a great deal and gained the confidence to host yoga classes. I made a few unexpected discoveries along the way and loved the yoga lessons. The views from the studio are amazing. Jo , who runs the apartments is a kind soul too who puts loving energy into her yoga. The Classes were all amazing and cycling to the beach ended the day perfectly. I would recommend this course, it is empowering and full of useful tools to use in the classroom. Please don't feel intimidated, this studio is a really safe place. The rooms are super clean and modern with beautiful art pieces. The biggest highlight was working with the outreach children and for me, bonding with the friendliest yogis! If you have the chance to go, do it! Treat yourself and your students!

"It's always a risk investing time and money into a course when you aren’t familiar with the teachers but it was the BEST decision! The teachers were so knowledgeable, the course comprehensive and fun too. I feel that Laura and Sharikay worked hard to make us the best teachers we can be and are passionate about spreading yoga to as many children as possible! The curse was a perfect mix of theory and practical and we all felt confident by the end. "

"I did an intensive training on children's yoga and meditation with Laura. Laura uses her experience as a kindergarten teacher as well as a yoga teacher seamlessly. She gives a therapeutic edge to her activities and she's a pro at doing live demos so you can actually see how children's yoga is going to work. Highly recommend!"

"For me as a beginner, Laura made me fall in love with yoga and showed me a way to be more positive, kind, and mindful. It's been now four months since I joined the yoga retreat at the TCDF eco-logical farm in Thailand and now, back home, I'm still practicing yoga with hearing Laura's words for body and soul in my head. I'm so thankful and happy for meeting her. She's a lovely yoga teacher who knows how to take care of every member in the group and how combine the yoga with a topic. So every time you can take a message with you. It's her destiny being a yoga teacher. She's so happy and good at doing it. You can see and feel that."

"I did the 20-hour yoga for early years training over one weekend and could not have been happier with it. Laura is so passionate and has such an extensive amount of experience in both early years education and in yoga which was so evident in her teacher training. Everything was taught openly, genuinely and completely from the heart. I felt that she gave all her students the tools they needed to open their minds to how they approach teaching yoga to young children. I left the training feeling confident and excited about the prospect of applying what I had learned to any situation. It wasn't just power point presentations listing different activities; it was a whole new way of looking at teaching children yoga. I hope she runs another weekend training for teaching tweens and teens soon!"

"I spent three weeks at a yoga retreat led by Laura in Thailand and left completely inspired and motivated to continue my yoga practice. She's funny, caring, inspirational, and creates wonderful personalized yoga practices for every student. I was a beginner when I started the retreat and Laura made me feel comfortable and really pushed me to further my practice during those three weeks. Laura also incorporates other aspects of yoga into her practices including meditation and chanting which was a wonderful thing to experience. I look forward to doing another yoga retreat led by Laura in the future - she's the best around!"

"I met Laura at the remarkable Eco-Logic Yoga Retreat in Pak Song, Thailand, where she was volunteering as a Yoga Instructor, in aid of the Thai Child Development Foundation. A natural healer, Laura has a calming, inspirational and gentle nature, and I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to practice yoga under her informed guidance. Laura’s wonderful balance of gentle encouragement, spiritual mindfulness and appreciation of the physical self supports a holistic yoga experience vastly enriching both body and soul. I left the retreat feeling empowered, calmer and physically more in tune with my body than I have in many years. Thank you Laura. I look forward to practicing with you, somewhere in the world, again."

"I had the pleasure of taking Laura’s yoga classes in Hong Kong while she was teaching at The Yoga Room. Her classes were dynamic and well structured. She spent time with each individual and made the effort to connect with them both on the mat and outside of class. It was evident when taking her class that she is passionate about what she is doing. I also participated in a charity yoga event that Laura organized to raise money for Nepal relief shortly after the earthquake. Her motivation and generosity were inspirational."

"I loved this mornings practice. Laura is super enthusiastic and very clear, calm and consistent with her guidance as she talks you through each pose and breathing exercise. I particularly enjoyed being outside amongst the wind, against the earth and feeling more present in this crazy city than I have in a long time!"
