The Eco-Logic Resort, in the heart of the rainforest in southern Thailand, is the perfect place to connect to your inner child, creative-self, and find inspiration. The river-side resort is tranquil, colorful, and peaceful with an abundance of surrounding nature and space to explore, relax, and restore.

The venue is a small, idyllic nature resort hidden in the rain forests and mountains behind Ranong. Lush greeneries and fresh air creates a cool and calm tropical vibe to the place. The resort was established not just for tourism, but for a worthwhile cause of supporting and advocating education, healthcare, and welfare of disadvantaged children within Thailand.

The Eco-Logic Resort supports the Thai Child Development Foundation (TCDF), a charity that provides health care, education, and welfare for disadvantaged children and families in southern Thailand. Guests at the Eco-Logic Resort can visit the on-sight special needs school, creative learning center, and community projects. 30% of all tuition fees from the training will be directly contributed to the children's charity TCDF.

Accommodation options

The Eco-logics' landscape is dotted with chic guest houses offering comfort and peace. They also have an ecological farm where fresh vegetables, herbs, fruits, and other produce are cultivated and utilized for delectable meals in the slow food restaurant. You can then take a bite of their fun indoor and outdoor activities like jungle treks and cooking courses that children would definitely love. You can even make your stay more remarkable by volunteering and joining their weekend activities with local children.

Private riverside bungalow

Situated on the foot of the mountain within the resort, these bungalows are all very close to the river, allowing you easy access to the riverside. You can sit and relax in the beautiful garden with campfire places or simply take in the beauty around you from your bungalow's porch.

Shared twin riverside room

These beautifully decorated rooms are adorned with murals, wooden decors, and furniture made by local craftsmen. Each room has a private bathroom situated in a small private garden with Thai-style cold showers using water from a well and a toilet.

Through interactive group discussions, active participation, and practice teaching, you will explore how incorporating art, dance, music, and movement with yoga allows children to truly express their emotions, reflect on their experiences, and process their world.

The yoga and the arts teacher training provides all the tools, techniques, and inspiration that teachers will need to develop their own individual, creative lessons to share with children and young people aged three to 18. The program focuses on providing a holistic, nurturing, and supportive environment in which children can feel confident and comfortable to explore and experiment with art.

"It's always a risk investing time and money into a course when you aren’t familiar with the teachers but it was the BEST decision! The teachers were so knowledgeable, the course comprehensive and fun too. I feel that Laura and Sharikay worked hard to make us the best teachers we can be and are passionate about spreading yoga to as many children as possible! The curse was a perfect mix of theory and practical and we all felt confident by the end. "

"I did an intensive training on children's yoga and meditation with Laura. Laura uses her experience as a kindergarten teacher as well as a yoga teacher seamlessly. She gives a therapeutic edge to her activities and she's a pro at doing live demos so you can actually see how children's yoga is going to work. Highly recommend!"

"For me as a beginner, Laura made me fall in love with yoga and showed me a way to be more positive, kind, and mindful. It's been now four months since I joined the yoga retreat at the TCDF eco-logical farm in Thailand and now, back home, I'm still practicing yoga with hearing Laura's words for body and soul in my head. I'm so thankful and happy for meeting her. She's a lovely yoga teacher who knows how to take care of every member in the group and how combine the yoga with a topic. So every time you can take a message with you. It's her destiny being a yoga teacher. She's so happy and good at doing it. You can see and feel that."

"I did the 20-hour yoga for early years training over one weekend and could not have been happier with it. Laura is so passionate and has such an extensive amount of experience in both early years education and in yoga which was so evident in her teacher training. Everything was taught openly, genuinely and completely from the heart. I felt that she gave all her students the tools they needed to open their minds to how they approach teaching yoga to young children. I left the training feeling confident and excited about the prospect of applying what I had learned to any situation. It wasn't just power point presentations listing different activities; it was a whole new way of looking at teaching children yoga. I hope she runs another weekend training for teaching tweens and teens soon!"

"I spent three weeks at a yoga retreat led by Laura in Thailand and left completely inspired and motivated to continue my yoga practice. She's funny, caring, inspirational, and creates wonderful personalized yoga practices for every student. I was a beginner when I started the retreat and Laura made me feel comfortable and really pushed me to further my practice during those three weeks. Laura also incorporates other aspects of yoga into her practices including meditation and chanting which was a wonderful thing to experience. I look forward to doing another yoga retreat led by Laura in the future - she's the best around!"

"I met Laura at the remarkable Eco-Logic Yoga Retreat in Pak Song, Thailand, where she was volunteering as a Yoga Instructor, in aid of the Thai Child Development Foundation. A natural healer, Laura has a calming, inspirational and gentle nature, and I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to practice yoga under her informed guidance. Laura’s wonderful balance of gentle encouragement, spiritual mindfulness and appreciation of the physical self supports a holistic yoga experience vastly enriching both body and soul. I left the retreat feeling empowered, calmer and physically more in tune with my body than I have in many years. Thank you Laura. I look forward to practicing with you, somewhere in the world, again."

"I had the pleasure of taking Laura’s yoga classes in Hong Kong while she was teaching at The Yoga Room. Her classes were dynamic and well structured. She spent time with each individual and made the effort to connect with them both on the mat and outside of class. It was evident when taking her class that she is passionate about what she is doing. I also participated in a charity yoga event that Laura organized to raise money for Nepal relief shortly after the earthquake. Her motivation and generosity were inspirational."

"I loved this mornings practice. Laura is super enthusiastic and very clear, calm and consistent with her guidance as she talks you through each pose and breathing exercise. I particularly enjoyed being outside amongst the wind, against the earth and feeling more present in this crazy city than I have in a long time!"
