There are 17 rooms at Santillan that are divided between two options: standard and superior. All rooms have an ensuite bathroom with a bath tub and shower. However, the superior rooms are equipped with underfloor heating in the bathroom, two wash-hand basins, and hydro massage in the bath tub, complimentary toiletries, hair dryer, hot and cold air conditioning and / or fan, kettle, television, and DVD player, telephones for internal use, work desk, and a balcony or patio with sea or garden or mountain views.

Santillan has a truly superb, light and spacious yoga space. It's a newly built, beautiful state of the art and fully equipped yoga studio, complete with Yoga Wall, designed with guidance from leading yoga teacher Simon Low.

Immerse yourself in the silence of nature in Santillan’s lovely gardens and surrounding hills. It is the perfect setting for a yoga retreat. With twice daily yoga classes held in the morning and in the evening, this gorgeous property is set to become a perennial favorite for destination yoga. Between yoga classes you can treat yourself to a blissful massage or relax in the gardens or beside the inviting saltwater swimming pool.

April retreat with Laura

There will be two sessions each day (with one free afternoon during the week) which will consist of a 2 hour dynamic morning practice and a 90 min restorative/yin session including meditation, pranayama and yoga nidra (guided relaxation) in the afternoons. Whilst the mornings will be strong and flowing, Laura guides her classes at an unhurried pace, giving the students a chance to savour the postures with attention to alignment within the flow. Through carefully created sequencing the choices for newer students and seasoned practitioners are always offered to have everyone at a comfortable level within the harmony of the class.

July retreat with Zoe

There will be a twice daily practice (with one afternoon off during the week to explore the local area) - a 2 hour morning practice and a 1 and a half hour evening class focusing on one aspect of yoga. Over 30 years of yoga practice with many different teachers from a variety of traditions has resulted in Zoe having an eclectic style of teaching. Her fundamental approach is to build strength as the cornerstone of practice and from there all poses become possible. Asana are broken down and analysed. Zoe looks at the muscles that need to be strong or flexible and works in detail gradually building up the components of a pose.

August retreat with Natasha

Flow classes: The morning class will take inspiration from Vinyasa Flow and Hatha Yoga. They aim to cultivate clarification in the mind, wake up the core and the deep stabiliser muscles, improve posture and ease muscular tension. Natasha will break down each pose so that it is accessible to all and gives options for every level.

Yin classes: The evening Yin class will aim to create space in the fascial web of the body, nourish the joints, calm the nervous system and enliven the flow of energy around the body. The classes will be infused with philosophy and spiritual sharings that are relatable to life. Natasha's Yoga Sleep Method (Yoga Nidra) will also make an appearance and she is passionate about the health benefits of this transformative practice for complete relaxation and exploration of the subconscious mind.


Zoe Knott
Zoe is a Diploma Course Tutor (DCT) for the British Wheel of Yoga and is also their DCT training officer. She has over 30 years of yoga practice with many different teachers from a variety of traditions, which has resulted in having an eclectic style of teaching. Her fundamental approach is to build strength as the cornerstone of practice and from there, all poses become possible. Zoe has taken the additional British Wheel of Yoga modules in pranayama and pregnancy. She also runs regular yoga classes, courses, teacher training, and workshops.
Natasha Kerry
Natasha felt the need to re-evaluate her career path and undertook her initial 250hrs of teacher training in India at the Yoga Vidya Gurukul ashram. She was completely immersed in the yogic way of life, living in the ashram and educated by Rishis initiated by The Bihar School of Yoga. Natasha has made huge lifestyle changes & has immensely enjoyed continuing her Yoga studies alongside her teaching. She completed a 200hrs Vinyasa Power Yoga TTC in London, & the 80hrs Triyoga Tapasya TTC as well as intensive short courses in Ashtanga with John Scott & Restorative Yoga Therapeutics with Bo Forbes
Laura Gate Eastley
Exhausted from her music industry career in the late nineties, Laura found yoga, and there was no going back! The teacher training in 2003-2005 with Brian Cooper and Nawajoti of Union Yoga gave her a really strong grounding in her dynamic teaching style, and she is forever grateful for their firm, nurturing and patient energy. At this time she was practising Ashtanga and assisting the daily Mysore class at Triyoga. She has been teaching yoga for over 10 years. Laura's yoga style is inyasa flow but she includes moments of yin or restorative; there is always some pranayama and meditation


This retreat will take place in Andalusia, Spain. Set in a secluded location, Santillan is a farmhouse set in an Andalusian paradise. Here you will find extensive grounds in the peace of the Spanish countryside. It is also conveniently only 20 minutes from Malaga airport. All meals are cooked to an excellent standard using local produce. You will sample some of the traditional recipes of Andalusia together with some Italian influenced cuisine too. If you have any special dietary requirements, please notify The Healthy Holiday Company at the time of booking. They will do their best to accommodate these. Water, tea, coffee, and herbal tea are provided on a complimentary basis 24/7.

How to get there

Arrival by airplane

The Healthy Holiday Company recommends flying from London to Malaga Airport (AGA) for this retreat. If you travel on these flights, you may take advantage of the subsidized airport transfers service at 10 GBP each way. Alternatively, you could be assisted to book a taxi.
