This rebalancing program offers a combination of acupuncture, deep tissue massage, and yoga that works on both tension release and energy balancing in order to release chronic holding patterns that contribute to pain and illness. According to the holistic approach of rebalancing, the emotional, energetic, and spiritual aspects are as important as the physical component. Rebalancing is a way to increase the ability to feel. Feeling connects you more with who you truly are.
Desa Seni offers unique accommodations in original antique wood homes that have been imported from the many islands of Indonesia. Each house has its own individual history and has been completely restored and refurbished. At Desa Seni, you will live amidst original artifacts and antiques reflecting true Indonesian culture and heritage.
Your comprehensive rebalancing program will include the following therapies:
Chinese medicine works by harmonizing the energetic body and stimulating a natural movement back to a rebalanced state of equilibrium. A full assessment will first be done followed by an individually designed program of TCM therapies that includes acupuncture, moxabustion, cupping, and medicinal tea. Dietary recommendations will also be given based on your individual Chinese medical “pattern” and the energetic properties of food.
The body posture affects not only the muscular skeletal structure but also influences the function of our internal organs. Desa Seni's licensed acupuncturist will do a full body postural analysis and functional muscular testing to assess the areas of dysfunction in your structural body and provide the blueprint for manual therapy treatment. The structural realignment techniques facilitate the body’s return to its natural and normal structure, restoring optimal function to organs, muscles, and the joints and surrounding tissues of joints.
This helps to soften tight and knotted muscles and tissues and release built up tension. Relaxation can lead to a letting go of what has been held emotionally.
Breathing is used as a tool to move through tension and emotion. A deep, complete, and conscious breath allows for a greater capacity to feel and connect to your own expansive energy.
This is another word for “being conscious”. The more the body relaxes, the more the mind can rest in quiet. From this inner stillness, you are able to focus on and observe your thoughts and feelings. In your daily life, this will give you more freedom, awareness, stability, and vigor.
Andy Taylor is a USA licensed acupuncturist with a master’s of science in traditional oriental medicine.
