Sandycamps

You’re invited to fully enjoy the beautiful inside garden, pool, hammam, the bar, and restaurant. The rooms and collective spaces are comfortable and cozy, decorated in a style that combines Moroccan tradition and modernity, making you feel instantly at home. You’ll have the opportunity to relax by the pool, recharge batteries at the hammam, as well as sunbathe on one of the sunny terraces.

Shared non-mixed bedroom

This bedroom is equipped with shower, toilets, bed linen, and towels. It is shared amongst two to three people.

Double deluxe bedroom

This bedroom is equipped big double bed, desk, benches, shower, toilets, bed linen, and towels.

In workshops and talks, you will explore practical yogic techniques, discuss yogic philosophy, and experience how to integrate healthy habits into everyday life instead of creating rigid restrictions and inner fights. You will also be experiencing Moroccan culture through a day trip to the medieval port town of Essaouira, tasting what the markets have to offer, and simply embracing the beauty of the place.

Food is integral to health. In a hands-on cooking workshop, you’ll learn how to prepare a simple, creative, and healthy vegan meal to nourish your body with everything it needs. Furthermore, enjoying the hammam or Balinese massage are possible in the immediate surroundings.

Yoga and meditation practice

The teachings are based on elemental Hatha yoga, a holistic practice that works deeply with the elements in the natural environment and in the body. The practice aims at balancing your physical, mental, and emotional environment and after all, your everyday awareness and happiness. Asana, pranayama, and mantra are an integral part of every session. Different Buddhist and Daoist based meditation and mindfulness techniques serve you to increase your awareness. No matter if you are new to yoga or settled in your practice, everyone will benefit from the knowledge.

You will have a day trip to the historical town Essaouira and Women’s Cooperative Marjana. Essaouira is one of the most beautiful Atlantic coastal towns built on a peninsula swept by trade winds. Essaouira is authentic and bewitching. Centuries of colonization have shaped its architecture, unveiling Portuguese, Berber, and French influences that grant an unmatched character to this city once called Mogador.

You will wander in the street labyrinth of its medina, listed as UNESCO World Heritage, and discover a world of artists, art galleries, riads, and many craft shops surrounded by fortifications. Essaouira is famous for its laidback atmosphere and long sandy beach but also contrasts with large parts of the city dating back to the 16th century, a total change of scenery. On the way to Essaouira, you'll have the opportunity to stop at the Women's Cooperative Marjana, founded and managed by Berber women of this region, which is famous in all Morocco for its Argan products.

Sandycamps is located in a small fishermen’s village called Imsouane. Just a few hours from Europe, it is between Essaouira and Agadi Ou Aziz, away from crowded tour operators and trendy surf spots. This preserved area will offer you an original and relaxing experience of an intact Morocco. The hostel is nestled in an oasis of greenery between mountains and ocean (only five minutes' walk to the beach and village).
