The training takes place at Advaitam, an ashram just over one hour's drive from Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport. With scenic panoramic views in a quiet, natural environment, it is the ideal place for an in-depth study and practice of yoga and meditation.
All rooms come with attached bathroom and are shared in triple occupancy. There is separate accommodation for female and male students. The rooms are beautifully located, with views of the surrounding greenery. The ashram was inaugurated in 2014 and all buildings and facilities are well-maintained and equipped with simplicity and care.
This training is limited to 20 students and accommodation will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.
In January and February, the weather is pleasant with daily temperatures between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius. The nights and early morning hours can be cool.
The ashram is located in a rural area with no access to ATMs or convenience stores. Please bring anything you may need during the four weeks of training, including four weeks' supply of toiletries, medication and cash for laundry services, transfers, optional excursions on days off and other needs.
In order to maintain the purification effects of an intensive yoga practice, please be aware that the use of alcohol, drugs and cigarettes, as well as the consumption of non-vegetarian food is not permitted throughout the full duration of the course.
Changes in the daily schedule may occur.
Our teaching team combines a wealth of experience in all aspects of the yoga system. Mani Raman, lead teacher at Yoga Vana, has trained thousands of yoga teachers over the past 20 years. In each teacher training course, the core teaching team is supported by resource persons from all over India to give you a complete and in-depth learning experience - from classical yogic science and practice in all paths of yoga (bhakti, raja, karma, jnana) to contemporary neuro-scientific research on happiness, empathy and mindfulness.
Participants will be assessed throughout the course and need to pass a final written exam in order to receive the certificate which allows them to register with Yoga Alliance as an internationally recognized 200 hours registered yoga teacher (RYT 200).
Open to only 20 students, the teacher training course allows you to closely interact with the teachers' team and receive individual guidance and inspiration for your own practice and teaching capacities.
For the last 20 years, Mani has been teaching the integral practice of Yoga in the tradition of Swami Sivananda and Swami Vishnudevananda (Hatha/Raja, Karma, Bhakti, Jnana). He gives inspiring discourses on Vedanta philosophy and the Bhagavad Gita, bridging Western and Eastern understanding for students from all over the world. Holding a M.Sc. in Western Psychology, Mani responds to each student's individual needs with profound insight and wisdom. Mani has trained thousands of graduates in international Teacher Training Courses and has been travelling extensively worldwide. www.ManiRaman.org
