Levinthos apartments

Levinthos apartments are eco-friendly apartments made from stone and ground matter, bearing the lowest possible visual and environmental footprint. The cave-houses maximize the authentic relationship between the house-user and the landscape. In addition, there are four first floor studios which offer breathtaking view of the Libyan sea.

Filoxenia apartments

Filoxenia apartments are built in an idyllic position with a fabulous view to the sea. Both buildings are surrounded by a lovely garden area which is very spacious and has many great views. All the rooms have been nicely decorated and comfortably furnished. They all have a great balcony which is furnished with chairs and a table and has spectacular view stretching out to the sea.

Right in front of the apartments there is a path which leads to a magical small beach with blue waters where you can enjoy relaxation and swimming. Filoxenia is definitely ideal for families, couples, and for those who desire to escape from the routine of everyday life.

Village studios (economy)

This is an option of accommodation for a limited budget. The studios are located in the village of Lentas, around 10-minute walk from the retreat center.

All accommodation options have Wi-Fi only in common areas like the restaurant and air conditioning.

This yoga teacher training course is designed for all those persons who have a profound spiritual interest but have not yet been able to find the way to explore it. Once you successfully complete this course, you will experience an important transformation in your life. The yoga teacher training program includes yoga classes, anatomy, physiology, and philosophy classes. Daily meditation sessions and pranayama. There are many books that analyze yoga positions and how to get into them properly, but the practice of yoga should preferably start with a qualified yoga teacher, as it is not recommended to teach yourself. In the West, the focus is mostly on the postures of the body (asana) and practitioners hope to tone their body to the required shape.

In this yoga teacher training course, you will follow the traditional Hatha yoga and keep focus on the following point: ‘’Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self’’ as it is written in the Bhagavad Gita.

The experienced and certified instructors during the yoga teacher training course provide support and provide whole-heartedly all the information, knowledge, and guidance to the participants so that they may explore their physical, mental, and emotional limits in a safe manner.

The yoga teacher training course is an intense experience and through practice and theory, participants attain all the tools with confidence so that they may share this knowledge with others.


Prerequisites to enroll in the yoga teacher training 200-hour course is previous experience with yoga practice for at least two years. An open flexible mind, commitment to learning, and motivation to become a yoga teacher is also essential.

A high level of will-power and self-discipline is required during the course as it is physically, mentally, and spiritually demanding as well as highly rewarding. It is very important the participants have physical and mental health.

Rules and regulations

  • Every student is requested to complete registration formalities, submit the required information and course fee before the start of the course
  • The participants should be in good physical and mental health
  • They should have previous experience in yoga practice and a testimonial from his / her yoga teacher
  • Students should be over 18 years old
  • Students over 50 years old, should make sure that their health is good for attending the course
  • The course language is in English and Greek
  • Students should be willing to follow the rules of Yama (social rules) and Niyama (personal code and conduct), stipulated by Maharishi Pantajali
  • Every student must follow the dress code strictly as instructed upon on-site arrival
  • Every student is requested to come to the class in yoga dress (comfortable loose clothing - no bikinis, shorts or tank-tanks are allowed)
  • Participant questions in the class must be strictly related to the course matter
  • The female students are kindly requested to advise regarding their menstrual cycle, as it is preferred not to perform certain yoga poses during this time, such as shoulder stand, headstand, viparitakarani, and kapalbhati, uddiyanbandha, etc
  • All students are instructed to come to the class at least five minutes before the scheduled timing of commencement
  • Yoga teacher training course participants are requested not to join any other educational or hobby programs during their course with Breath of Life Yoga Center Crete
  • Every student is requested to strictly follow the diet and living regulations as stated by Breath of Life Yoga Center Crete-Greece. This is for the well-being of the student
  • Eating spicy, non-vegetarian food outside the premises, is strictly prohibited throughout the duration of the course. Students need to have only sattvik food
  • All students must comply with rules and regulations of Breath of Life Yoga Center Crete-Greece. Any kind of misbehavior or misconduct with fellow students or teachers will be automatically and decisively assumed as breaking the code of conduct of Breath of Life Yoga Center Crete-Greece
  • The effectiveness of the course or progress of participants is based on the physical and intellectual capability, as well as the previous living standard of participants. Hence, the participants have to be fully devoted and adhere to all the rules and disciplines of the yogic path
  • Any assistance needed by participants will be given in any possible way
  • No extra activities are allowed in class. Personal discussions and topics not related to the yoga course can be discussed during free time and are forbidden during course hours
  • If a participant decides to leave the yoga teacher training course at his / her own free will and / or for personal reasons, Breath of Life Yoga Center Crete-Greece is not obliged to return any amount of the payment made by the participant

    Maria wurde in Athen geboren, wo sie Psychologie, Theater, Pädagogik und Tanz studierte.     Yoga Alliance International (Ashtanga Yoga)

    Natasa wurde in Heraklion auf der griechischen Insel Kreta geboren. Sie hat Glasbläserei und bildende Kunst in Schweden und England studiert. Sie praktiziert seit 2002 Yoga und arbeitet sowohl an Hatha- als auch an Ashtanga-Yoga-Systemen. Sie hat erste und zweite Level im Reiki-System. Seit 2002 hat Natasa an mehreren Selbstentwicklungsseminaren teilgenommen und ist sowohl in der Energieheilung als auch in der therapeutischen Thai-Massage ausgebildet worden. Sie hat Lehrerausbildung in Ashtanga Yoga erhalten und ist zertifizierte Lehrerin in Hatha Yoga.     Sada Shiva is the founder and director of the Vasistha School of Yoga in Greece, practicing yoga and meditation since 1991. He is also an Ayurvedic nutritionist and educator, a massage therapist, and a sound healer, travelling and teaching worldwide.

    For the past four years, Kamala has been living and teaching back and forth in India and Europe. Her intention is to build a link between these two cultures as well as studying and practicing yoga in its complete yet genuine form while in India. This yoga teacher training will take place in the area of Lentas, Heraklion in Southern Crete, Greece. While visiting the home of the Minoan civilization in Crete, you will have the opportunity to become acquainted with Indian culture, enjoy the Cretan landscape and the beautiful Cretan beaches while studying yoga.

Lentas is a small historic fishing village in the southern part of Crete in Heraklion. The ancient temple of Asclepius God, a temple from the 5th century B.C. is situated in Lentas. During the Minoan period, Lentas was an important port, known as Levin. Lentas translates as lion in the Greek language and takes its name to the domineering rock in the western side of Lentas bay, which resembles a sitting lion.

In Egyptian mythology, the lion symbolizes the cosmic law. The huge windows of the yoga hall face the vast Libyan sea and the elephant rock Ganesha. In Indian tradition, God Ganesha is worshiped as the god of education, knowledge, wisdom, and wealth and known as lord of success.
