Blue Sky, a tranquil accommodation, is a perfect place to unwind. The center regularly hosts guests for workshops and activities that are related to health and wellbeing. All the studios and 1 or 2 room apartments have a well equipped kitchen, a private bathroom and a terrace with a view onto the sea, the garden or the swimming pool.

The program includes a unique approach which integrates the tools of mindfulness into the practice of Vinyasa flow yoga.


Opale will be providing teachings of Vinyasa flowing and dynamic yoga which incorporate and combine Prana flow sequences. You will practice 3 hours daily yoga, in an indoor yoga shala or on a shaded terrace by the seashore. Morning sessions run from 09:30 - 12:30, followed by a delicious and organic vegetarian lunch. Evening sessions from 17:00 to 20:00.

The 6 sessions will include asanas (yoga postures), Vinyasa (sequence of poses) pranayama (breathing exercises) and mindfulness meditation. Pilates exercises will be incorporated in the teachings. This is to ensure there is some specific focus on improving your core and help to build and strengthen the muscles supporting your spine.

The lessons are suitable for all, as the retreat welcomes complete beginners and those who have practiced yoga for some years. Every student will receive special attention.

By learning to smile and relax your mind, you will find freedom in your body and flow with lightness in your practice. Opales background in various yoga schools will promote the thorough study of each posture. She will gently ease you into the practice with breathing exercises and smooth movements to awaken the muscles and joints with preparation throughout the week for tougher poses through core and back strengthening exercises. Opale teaches with a professional and sensitive approach allowing for each individual student to evolve into their practice with fluidity and confidence.

Your daily schedule will include breakfast, lunch or dinner, depending on the yoga class being in the morning or in the evening, and plenty of time to enjoy the amazing surroundings.


In the last decade, Ibiza has grown as a very alternative, ecological and healing orientated location. Known as the white island for the curing properties of its white clay, Ibiza is nowadays a worldwide famous destination for nature lovers and yoga practitioners.

The retreat will take place at the Blue Sky Training Center, a few steps from Cala Martina beach, in a beautiful and calm spot, located on the island of Ibiza which, over the last 50 years, has become a focal point for alternative living. The food is delicious, healthy and vegetarian. Gluten and / or dairy-free requirements are catered for when necessary - please advise at the time of booking. Healthy breakfast and lunch / or dinner (depending if the yoga class is in the morning or in the afternoon) will be served in the dining room, or on the terrace.

There are plenty of options available when it comes to free time: beaches to enjoy, an island to explore, have a massage or relax by the pool.

In the evening, you can discover Es Canars animated port (a 15-minute walk away), with a variety of bars and restaurants and night life. On Wednesdays, Es Canar hosts the famous Hippy Market.

Can Suldate is a rustic restaurant close to Es Canar which also has live music on Thursday and Saturday evenings.

Santa Eularia is 2.5 miles away and a charming port town with a wide sandy beach, it offers all services (Pharmacy, Banks, etc.) and a fast shuttle boat to the sister island, Formentera.

Cala Nova, one of the islands most spectacular beaches, is walking distance from Es Canar.

The resort is also in very close proximity to the quiet beach of Cala Martina, where you can find two restaurants. The famous Chirincana La Playa restaurant is a few minutes walk and here you can enjoy a tasty vegetarian dinner and a musical show on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sunday evenings.

There is also a water sports center in Cala Martina, where you can book the following activities: kite surfing, wind surfing, scuba diving, canoeing and pedal boats.

You may book treatments or massages with Mary Bland, an integrative bodywork practitioner. A 1-hour treatment session is priced at 70 EUR, however, a minimum of 2 sessions are recommended for serious physical issues.

    One of the best retreats I ever had!

    CONS Negatives: The yoga studio in and rooms in Ciel Azul were ok, but the whole place was poorly maintained and looked a bit run down. It serves its purpose but seriously lacks in yogic atmosphere. Make sure to get info/pics beforehand about rooms size and bed arrangements not to be disappointed.

    PROS Positives: This retreat with Opale had a great impact on me and I would say without hesitation it was one of the best retreats I ever had. And, I have had many! What I loved the most is that I had so many Aha!-moments. Many of the concepts such as bandhas and energetic alignment I have been taught many times before, but not until now did I really understand them fully! These are complex concepts that require years of practice, but Opale have the ability to explain them very well and effectively integrate them into the body work. Opale's teaching style is very matter-of-fact at the same time as it includes a lot of depth which really serves all levels in class - both beginner and intermediate. Everybody can work on their level and still learn new aspects from the teaching. I really appreciated that Opale offered a lot of contact with the group by demonstration and corrections etc. It is so helpful. You would be surprised how many teachers just let their student go on practising in bad alignment! The group size was small so there was plenty of opportunity for individual feedback.

    Yoga versus accomodation

    CONS Negatives: The accomodation was below par in certain areas i.e although clean the bathroom, for instance, was old and stained around the floor and in the bidet. The shower was old and the head actually fell off. One of the sockets didn't work meaning I changed the room around to incorporate a side light. Also the immediate grounds/gardens were totally unkempt and could have been maintained nicely to walk through and even contain a yoga shala! The accomodation seems to be a base for a group of people with particular beliefs and the flavour of the pool area seems to represent this with large effigy's of space ships and portals etc, which I found slightly disturbing. The cafe area around bar is never open! apart from the odd conference. The outdoor studio was a good 10minute walk from accomodation across the beach and through a hippie camp and although near to the lovely sea was subject to the noise of passers by and also felt a little run down.

    PROS Positives: I felt Opale to be a wonderful teacher, well versed in many aspects of yoga and completely genuine and passionate about her subject. She was calm, consistent and patient and her classes flowed yet adapting to different students. The location was 5 minutes walk from the beach, which is a lovely uncommercialised area but with enough for eats and drinks. A very cheap nearby cafe and supermarket which the locals used. The indoor yoga studios were lovely. For me all the following negatives and overall score were balanced out by the lovely Opale.

    PROS Positives: Opal is a truly amazing person with great energy a caring personality for her guests. She is accommodating in her yoga practice for beginners explain exercise well and keep the energy with more advance students . I have no hesitation of recommending her yoga retreat . The location is in a quiet beautyful part of Ibiza 35 min from Aeropirt .

    "I had a very nice time and I came home totally relaxed, actually I am still in the “yoga flow”, feeling less stressed any way. I came to the yoga retreat not knowing what to expect. Now looking back to last week I think it was a great holiday. I learned a lot, new things in yoga, new people, I learned more about me. I liked most the yoga on the beach.     "Firstly thank you for a lovely few days yoga. I think my experience was slightly changed because of the pregnancy and so obviously there were a few moves/ postures I couldn't do. I really enjoyed the spiritual element of your classes- and I think for people who have been having a difficult time in life this is also a sort of therapy/ process of healing. Also very helpful to think about these things regardless of where you are in life! As we rarely have the time. I think I would be good on your website to advertise that your yoga lessons also include meditation And emphasis on spirituality as I think this made your classes very gentle (and this obviously won't suit everybody). I thought you worked through a really wide variety of poses and the classes had structure. I enjoyed this but also enjoyed the variety ex. hips one day, moving onto something else another. I liked the small size which made it personal/ special. If you had a regular base/ set up i would be strongly recommending to friends back home. "

    "Hi Opale, many apologies for the delay in responding to you. Debs and I both agreed we were so much stronger, happier and brighter for having spent the week with you. It was a journey, emotionally and physically for us both. I've had a demanding time at work since returning but I am still feeling the benefits. Debs is still struggling, however, all her friends and family are supporting her. When I arrived in Ibiza I was running on empty, as you know from my tears after our first practice. The combination of yoga, pranayama and mindfulness was challenging at times but as the week progressed so did my clarity, strength and stamina. I can't wish away my condition but I do recognise underneath there is a deep wholeness that was re-inhabited after our week and with your help put myself back Intouch with the person I know I already am. The challenge is to continue this work..I'm reading a book on mindfulness to help, it is accompanied by a cd to support me through, I think it's going to be a long but hopefully fruitful journey. Debs and I talked again this week about the feedback on the retreat here's our observation both good and bad: We both agreed you are amazing, we loved the yoga, found it challenging at times but wouldn't change the combination of yoga and mindfulness. 3 hours seemed like a lot but it flew by. Enjoyed doing the yoga in the morning, leaving the rest of the day free to enjoy the island. It was a good balance. We enjoyed practicing outdoors. Enjoyed the experience of being in the mountains but would ideally like to be by the sea. As you know I love it when we practice at the villa in Talamanca, to see and hear the ocean is a very special experience for me. Casa monte y mar felt a bit tired, it needed to be loved, cleaned and tidied up! It was a beautiful location but we both felt it needed a good old clean. We would of paid extra for a cleaner, change of towels and bed linen during the week. Breakfast - Loved the fruit and nuts in the morning. Loved the fact that we all had lunch together but found Rosie's cooking a bit heavy for lunch. The menu needed to be lighter and healthier. Debbie and I had massages down on the beach, would have been good to have someone to come to the villa. I hope all is good with you. Speak soon. Much love Paula"

    "Ce fut pour moi, une totale découverte, cette semaine à Ibiza. Difficile, surprenante, autant physique que mentale. J'ai eu un réel plaisir et beaucoup d'enthousiasme à découvrir cette discipline avec une professionnelle telle que toi. D'ailleurs, cela m'a tellement plu que je continue à la maison et avec Maria (1x par semaine). Ma raideur est un petit peu moins raide. J'y travaille..rires. Regarding Ciel Azul, I really liked it, except for the breakfast: fresh bread was missing. Apart from that, it was perfect. We were also lucky to practice outdoor, next to the see, it was fantastic. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to bond with others, it was really helpful.     "Salut Opale, Je te remercie d'abord de ton énergie lors des séances de yoga, et surtout du travail sur le lien entre le mental et le physique, c'était vraiment une magnifique découverte salvatrice pour moi, réellement! A mon retour, j'ai eu du mal à trouver un cours de yoga aussi complet et qualitatif que le tien. J'en ai enfin trouvé un d'intéressant la semaine dernière et c'est du vinyasa. Au sujet du lieu "Ciel azul", c'est plutôt agréable, assez kitch, un peu vieillot mais économique. Les repas étaient plutôt corrects, rien d'exceptionnel. La grosse lacune ce sont les petit-déjs qui paraissaient improvisés, je préfère moins de choix mais de la qualité. En revanche son emplacement est plutôt sympa, j'ai aimé à proximité la plage, Es canar, santa Eulalia et les soirées du Chirincana!! ça me semble un bon compromis car les chambres sont propres et vraiment bon marché par rapport à ce qu'on peut trouver autour. Je te remercie aussi pour nous avoir mis en relation avec ton amie masseuse et osteo, elle est très pro et nous a, à tous les trois vraiment fait du bien. Voilà ce que j'avais à dire, à priori nous nous reverrons l'année prochaine, j'ai hâte de te montrer mes progrès... Merci aussi pour tes bons plans concerts et soirées sympas!"

    "Hi Opale! First I’d like to thank you for all the energy you put into your yoga sessions, and for your work on the link between mind and body, it was a life-saving discovery for me, really! When I came back home, I had difficulties finding a yoga class as complete and good as yours. I finally found an interesting one last week, it’s a Vinyasa class. Regarding “Ciel Azul”, it’s quite pleasant, a bit kitch, with old-fashioned interior settings, but cheap. Food was ok, nothing special. The biggest deficiency is breakfast, which looks improvised. I prefer having less options and better quality. In contrast, the location of Ciel Azul is really nice, I enjoyed staying next to the beach, as well as visiting Es canar, Santa Eulalia and spending evenings at Chirincana!! I think it is a good compromise because the rooms are clean and really cheap in comparison with what you can find in the region. Thanks as well for helping us getting in touch with your masseur friend, she is very professional and helped the three of us. That’s all I had to say, I think we will go back next year, I am eager to show you my progress… Thanks as well for all your concerts and outing tips!     "The retreat was so inspiring, I feel privileged to have shared the experience. I wasnt sure how well I would keep up with the classes, but it was so immersive that the worries just dissolved. The practice was challenging, but never disheartening, and each day I couldnt believe how smoothly the time seemed to pass up on the deck.I really appreciated the balance you find in your work. The technical detail, the precision, and the focus on proper alignment were so useful - but all of that skill and knowledge is shared with so much warmth and so much wisdom! I felt motivated and nurtured all at the same time, and that in itself was a wonderful thing!I also know it was a turning point for me that the essence of what you teach is coming with me on the journey. I was at a class last night, and stayed with the bandhas and ujjayi breath like I never have before. I was even careful to keep my toes long!"

    "I recently came back from a week of yoga, in Ibiza. It was really lovely and feels fully blissed out. Villa Roca has a travelers-hostel vibe. It is a white villa overlooking pine covered hills with a terrace and a spacious yoga deck that view the green hills. It is peaceful, pretty and really easy going.The people who run the place are really relaxed and friendly and look after their guests as well as giving them freedom to explore to their hearts content. You could walk in the hills, chill at the villa, have an Ayurvedic massage with lovely French Tomas or watch the sunrise, sunset and midday sunshine splendour at Benirras Beach. Feel the energy of Ibiza!The yoga was excellent. My teacher was Opale. Her teaching was incredibly thorough, precise and reflected her years of study and practice. She led us through the primary Ashtanga series in depth and detail, creating a different yoga bliss each day, depending on what we were focusing on. She is creative, and embodied all the different aspects of yoga: pranayama, philosophy, mediation and of course, asana; she showed me warm ups and poses I had never seen before. She was also really attentive to everybodys level, ability and needs. I came back having learnt so much and have passed many of her techniques onto my own students. I really enjoyed my week with her."

    "Our teacher Opal eased us in each morning with breathing exercises and gentle movements to wake up the muscles and joints, and we wound down again for the final hour which culminated in 20 minutes of relaxation and meditation. With a background in Iyengar yoga, which promotes the thorough study of each posture, Opal was a stickler for alignment and taught us how to perform each asana precisely (there were some that Id been doing incorrectly for months!) She was incredibly good at preparing us for the tougher poses with strengthening core and back exercises, and asking for help was welcomed. Members of the class overcame their apprehensions and pushed themselves in ways they would never have the guts to back at home."
