The colorful center has beautiful gardens, an 18-meter swimming pool, and many cozy places to relax and rest solo as well as to gather with others. Decorated with flowers and details at every turn, you will be nourished by all of the special touches as well as the care provided by the lovely Satsanga staff and the wonderful food. The yoga shala has beautiful hardwood floors and all of the props you will need for your practice.
The rooms at Satsanga Retreat are warmly furnished and all have spacious en-suite bathrooms with solar hot water. All rooms have ceiling fans and all beds have mosquito nets. Purified and filtered water is available in the guest rooms. Both private and shared accommodations are available and rooms are cleaned daily.
Each morning will begin with an active yet meditative Hatha Flow yoga practice. Tami will guide you through fluid, well-rounded classes that will be strength-building and -nourishing. Through physical postures, breath work, meditation, and philosophy, you will be supported to expand inner awareness and connect with the peace and light within.
After morning yoga, there will be time to swim in the pool or stroll the nearby white sand beaches, have a massage or simply read and relax. In the late afternoon, you'll meet again for a session dedicated to a mindful gentle practice including restorative postures, breath work, and meditation.
You will have one yoga free day for those interested in seeing the many special sights of Goa or an optional trip to the wonderful Anjuna market.
On New Year's Eve, you'll gather in the evening for a very beautiful session which will include activities in setting the intentions and welcoming the new year.
Tami has studied extensively in India, Australia, Europe, and the U.S. She began teaching in 2000 and draws most from her classical training in Ashtanga, Iyengar, Viniyoga, and Ayurveda. She currently finds inspiration by attending retreats offered by her teacher, Clive Sheridan. She is based in Seattle, USA, and teaches classes, workshops, co-directs her teacher training, and routinely offers retreats worldwide. Additionally, she teaches prenatal yoga, serves as a labor support doula, and is an Ayurvedic wellness counselor.
Goa is known for warm, sunny days, laid-back beaches, and colorful markets. In Goa, you will feel the spirit and vibrancy of India. This energy will support you to move deeper into the yoga practice and ultimately into yourselves.

You will get three delicious meals per day during this retreat. The beautiful Satsanga kitchen staff lovingly prepare a creative delight of Ayurvedic, Indian, and vegetarian food. The food is nourishing and healing, fully supporting you during your stay and yoga practices. All meals are vegetarian and served buffet-style.
In general, all food offered on the holidays and retreats will be vegetarian. At some venues a meat or fish option is available. Special diets can always be catered for and you are able to add your dietary requirements on the holiday booking page.

There are many ways to get to Goa. You can fly directly to Goa from most major airports or you can fly to Mumbai (Bombay) and take an internal flight to Goa with Spicejet or Kingfisher (internal Indian airlines). There are many other internal flight alternatives.
You can take the bus from Mumbai to Thivim which takes about 8 to 10 hours.
A taxi from Goa International Airport (GOI) to Satsanga Retreat costs about 15 GBP.
