During the awakening adventure yoga holiday, you will stay at The Sandcastle in Pohara, Golden Bay. Set in peaceful gardens and native bush, the property has sea views and is just a 10-minute walk to the beach. You will stay in self-contained comfortable chalets, each with its own deck, bathroom, and kitchen.

Yoga Nature New Zealand Yoga Retreat Program

Each day will begin and end with yoga. The retreat offers a daily self-development focus that will inspire the yoga and the adventure activity for that day. All yoga sessions and adventure activities are multi-level focused and accessible to all, including beginners or those that might consider themselves unfit. There will be options offered to those that crave more intensity.

Emma Present is the main teacher and founder of Yoga Nature. She has studied and taught yoga for over a decade. She has over 600 hours of official study and has worked full time in the yoga industry since 2009. Emma has worked in many roles, including running workshops for London's largest yoga studio, Triyoga, fundraising for yoga charities, and launching and running a community yoga shala and a yoga tourism business. She is very passionate about yoga and meditation's ability to heal and transform. Yoga Nature brings together Emma's biggest passions; yoga, nature, and supportive community.

You will relax with a spa day at Waitapu Springs, which includes hot tubs, sauna, and a one-hour massage. There is also an on-site spa and sauna, which you can use in your free time.

You can get to the retreat by driving from Nelson over the Takaka Hill and straight to the Sandcastle in Pohara.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Takaka Aerodrome (KTF) or Nelson Airport (NSN). Transfer from and to these airports is available upon request.
