The course covers a wide range of topics, including the 95 asanas, the five basic meditation techniques, three types of pranayamas, shatkarma, body alignment techniques, how to teach individual and group sessions, yoga business ethics, setting up a yoga school, holistic approach to learning therapeutic yoga teaching, and many others.

Yoga India Foundation follows a curriculum that is in compliance with the international standards of Yoga Alliance from USA, coupled with the expertise of renowned yoga gurus. The prime aim of this course is to teach physical and spiritual practices that lay down the foundation to become a well rounded and successful yoga teacher. The main five modules of the course include yoga teaching techniques, teaching methodology and yogic lifestyle, philosophy, anatomy, and physiology, as well as practice.

Yoga teaching techniques

The yoga teaching techniques cover principles such as asana, pranayama, shatkarma, bandhas, mudras, meditation techniques, and mantra and chanting. Asana is the yoga postures, pranayama is the breathing techniques, shatkarma is the cleansing techniques, bandhas is the locking of energy, and mudras is the channeling of energy. You will also learn the benefits and contraindications of the yoga asanas, which are the pranic energy channels of the body, the pancha koshas (sheath), the five elements of universe, and the seven chakras.

Teaching methodology

The objective and aim of this module is to learn the art of teaching as well as the business and marketing aspects of yoga. This is done by cultivating good quality teaching like timing, class planning, intonation of voice, asana sequence, and the art of adjustment. The trainer will be refining your qualities to teach in small and big groups of students. The lessons will include the study of anatomy and physiology. The module will focus on general movement and human body terms, as well as the systems of the body such as the respiratory system, the muscular system, the endocrine, and the nervous system.

Yoga philosophy, lifestyle, and ethics for yoga teachers

You will learn the definition of yoga, yogic diet and life style, paths of yoga (Jjnana, Raja, Bhakti, and Karma yoga), biography of important yogis, the eight limbs of Patanjali yoga sutras, study of ancient text (Bhagavad Gita), and Ayurveda.

Emotional Blockage Treatment

Each and every individual goes through various kinds of 'emotions' in their life. So what are emotions? It is basically our way of expression - it may be positive or negative. We go through anger, anxiety, stress, sadness, and so on. Instead of expressing our emotions, we start suppressing them, hence they start accumulating in our body, at various parts, such as calf muscles, thighs, hamstrings and in the pelvic region area. This results into blockages and various kinds of physical as well as mental diseases.

At Yoga India Foundation, Swami Vipin ji gives proper training and explanation on how to get rid of these blockages formed in the body. Swamiji's aim is to teach, as well as help the individual to overcome with his/ her emotional blockages, thus leading to the free flow of Energy in the whole body. It also helps to grow fast in asana, pranayama and meditation. You will definitely be a different and new person - full of positivism and enthusiasm towards life, that will benefit in all branches of your life.

Emotional unblocking treatment is a process to overcome strength in our life, today we are facing lot of mental pressure due to our busy lifestyle. As we know, body and mind are closely connected. Repetitive negative thoughts in our mind manifest in our body as blockages causing weakness, impatience and disease. Through the unblocking treatment, body blockages are removed so the energy can flow at maximum again. This treatment is included in the course, as Swami-ji devotes time and energy to bringing freedom and emotional release to each individual student. Everyone knows yoga isn’t just about the positions, but not everyone has the spiritual insight to unlock the inner life. It’s not as freaky as it sounds!

    Swami Vipin Gyan has been teaching and guiding spiritual seekers and yoga aspirants for the past decade. He is the founder of Gyan Yog Breath Yoga Center in Rishikesh, India and introduces "Emotional Unblocking Treatment" and "Power of Transformation" meditation to his students from all over the world.

    Yogi Kamal Negi has practised yoga since he was 4 years old. At the age of 21 he started teaching yoga professionally. At 27 he moved to China where he taught Hatha Yoga and adjustment for mostly chinese students. In 2016 he came to Yoga India Foundation to share his knowldge about yoga.

Arrival by airplane:

Please book your flight to arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL), from where you can take a domestic flight to Jolly Grant Airport Dheradun (DED). The price of the ticket ranges depending on when you book it, but it’s usually around 70 USD. Upon arrival, you can use a complimentary taxi ride that takes you from Dheradun airport to Yoga India Foundation, in Tapovan, Rishikesh.

Arrival by taxi:

Alternatively, you can also hire a private car to take you from Delhi to Rishikesh (6-7 hour ride). The cost is 70 USD. Yoga India Foundation will be pleased to organize a safe taxi for you. The taxi driver will hold a sign with your Name up at your arrival Gate in Delhi.

Arrival by bus

The Volvo buses from Delhi to Rishikesh stop running around 21:00. If your plane arrives in Delhi in the evening, you will have to get a hotel for the night and then make your way to Delhi ISBT (inter-state bus terminus) in the morning.

From the airport, you can get a prepaid taxi to take you to Delhi ISBT. The price from the Delhi airport to Delhi ISBT will be 500 INR.

Once you arrive at Delhi ISBT, navigate your way to the bus station’s ticket stands, on the second level (go up the escalator). Go to the Uttarakhand State booth and ask when the next Volvo bus will be leaving for Rishikesh. The bus ticket approximately costs between 300 to 400 INR.

Once you arrive at Rishikesh bus station, find an auto rickshaw (tuk tuk) to take you to Laxman Jhula Bridge. From there, it is only a two-minute walk to Yoga India Foundation.
