Yoga Bliss course offers different types of accommodation depending on your budget and needs. The accommodations will be either Yoga Bliss’ on-site bungalow or another homestay located within 5 minutes’ walk.

All of the accommodations offered have a large cozy room with either a double or twin beds. Air conditioning or fan are dependent on your booking. All accommodations have Wi-Fi and a private bathroom.

Yoga Bliss Private Deluxe Bungalows

The bungalow offers a private terrace, a private bathroom with hot water, air conditioning, a mosquito net, Wi-Fi, a fridge, a kettle, and an umbrella. That is Yoga Bliss’ students preferred choice! Yoga Bliss only has 11 bungalows at the moment so make sure to reserve your spot in advance.

Partner Guesthouse

Yoga Bliss usually books rooms at Nyoman Guesthouse (or Radya Homestay) which is located just 5 minutes’ walk from Yoga Bliss and offers nice rooms with double large bed or twin beds for the shared room, private bathroom, and Wi-Fi.

Yoga Bliss might have to change guesthouse from time to time, but will always maintain the same standards, this includes a swimming pool for you to have a dip in at lunch time.

Certifications

Upon completion of this yoga teacher training, students will receive certificate affiliated with Yoga Bliss. Registration with Yoga Bliss meets identified standard set by the organization.

Your training will be oriented to deepen your own practice while showing you how to teach others.

Being a yoga teacher means orienting your life towards your highest potential. It is a commitment to not only yourself, but to others as well. This training has been designed for those who believe, feel, and know that yoga is more than the physical practice of asana.

Yoga Bliss’ intention is to properly train yoga students to become strong, confident, and knowledgeable teachers. The program is designed so as to provide information and training that not only meets, but exceeds all standards set by any “alliance”.

In addition to all of the relevant information about yoga philosophy, theory, and teaching skills; Yoga Bliss puts a strong emphasis on developing your personal practice thus your training will be oriented toward deepening your own practice while showing you how to teach others.

By the end of the course, you will be able to confidently teach both a Vinyasa and Yin style class.

Course Program

  • Vinyasa style classes and sequencing
  • Yin yoga practice, modifications, and adjustments
  • Successful sequencing of a 90-minute yoga class (Vinyasa and Yin)
  • Pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation
  • An in-depth look into Samkyha Yoga philosophy
  • Practical anatomy
  • Establishing a successful self-practice of asana, pranayama, and meditation
  • Small groups guarantee with maximum 20 students per training

Asana

The morning practice will be a Vinyasa class that focuses on coordinating your breath with movement and building the strength needed to support your flexibility. The afternoon practice will be a Yin class to restore physical balance, gain flexibility, and calm the mind.

Meditation

Yoga Bliss will introduce you multiple meditation techniques to help you establish a daily practice.

Anatomy and physiology

You will be discussing how the bones, muscles, joints, and all of the systems of the body interact and work together to support and maintain the physical bodies. No prerequisite is needed, only an open mind and the desire to learn more about your body.

You will explore each part of the body to understand what stops you or your students to go further in a pose. You will gain an incredible knowledge of yourself and the tools needed to assess students in classes.

Pranayama

Yoga Bliss will be teaching different techniques to control the prana (life force) within each and every one of us. Different pranayama techniques have different effects on the body, mind, and energetic systems-some are more activating and some are more calming.

Yoga Bliss will teach you how to incorporate pranayama into your everyday life and into your own daily practice.

Asana and teaching lab

Learning to align yourself correctly in poses keeps you stable and safe from injury, while maximizing the benefits from each pose. Yoga Bliss will guide you in how to correctly align yourself, and your students in postures. You will go through different variations in order to effectively teach to all levels. The teaching of hands-on adjustments will also be discussed so that students can be physically guided into better alignment, more depth and/or relaxation in postures.

Philosophy, texts, and concepts

You will dive into the history and philosophy of yoga and how this ancient tradition developed from its strong Hindu mythological influence to the more Westernized version one often experiences today. You will explore excerpts from some of the most influential yoga texts including the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the Bhagavad Gita, Heart of Yoga, and Light on Yoga.

Prerequisites

To teach yoga authentically, you must first have an established personal practice. During this intensive course, you will practice both Vinyasa and Yin yoga. You feel ready to take the next step and wish to become a certified yoga teacher?

Yoga Bliss recommends you to have at least one year of a regular and dedicated yoga asana practice in a yang style of yoga (Vinyasa, Hatha, or Power etc.). You wish to develop your own practice, learn more about yoga, and all its aspects, but you are not ready or do not wish to become a certified yoga teacher yet?

This course is also for you! It can be difficult to find the time and/or a place where to learn and practice more intensively than drop-in classes, so this is an opportunity to do so without expectation of becoming a yoga teacher.

If this is your wish, Yoga Bliss recommends you to have practiced any style of yoga for at least 6 months. Yoga Bliss will work with you to develop a daily asana, pranayama, and meditation practice that best suits you.

You will be able to follow exactly the same class schedule as those who are choosing to become certified, without the stress of completing a final examination.

Final assessment

During the last week of the training you will have different assessment to complete, some written and some practical.

Lisa Nelson
Lisa began her yoga journey more than a decade ago, but it wasn’t until 5 years ago when a running injury caused her to halt her marathon training that she started to implement yoga as a part of her daily life. As her love for yoga deepened, she realized that there was more to life than having a career and steady paycheck. She decided to leave her job and set out for India to complete her first YTT. Lisa teaches from the heart, she gently guides her students to find an appropriate practice for themselves, as opposed to teaching from one-size fits all approach.
Echo Wismer
Yoga Alliance E-RYT 200, RYT 500 (Vinyasa Yoga)
With more than thousands of hours of training and teaching under her belt, Echo will be one of the main teachers during the Vinyasa and Yin YTTC. Her background began with Hatha, Vinyasa, and Power yoga, which evolved then to Yin and Restorative. Her practice is always evolving with herself. Her teachings focus mainly on subtle alignment, the breath and integrate flow in the practice to create organic movement. She has spent the last couple of years sharing her practice all around the world trying to adapt the practice to the student and not the student to the practice.

Retreat Ort

Yoga Bliss is located on Lembongan Island, 30 minutes away from Bali. As a lot of travelers say, Lembongan is like Bali used to be 20 years ago. White sandy beach, blue clear water, quiet, and a perfect spiritual place. This island paradise begins to be a must to visit from Bali away from the traffic jam or the hawkers. This is A perfect place to relax, where the only things to do are diving, snorkeling, surfing, hiking, sunbathing, and yoga.

The shala is in the heart of Lembongan close to all commodities. The beach is only five minutes away, but as you will see everything is really close on the island as its size is approximately eight square kilometers.

Verpflegung

During your training, you will have the time to explore new food, and new ways of eating, and cleansing. It will always be your own choice what you eat, and we will not ask you to follow a particular path. Yoga Bliss will provide you with three meals a day of healthy local food at their Green Garden eco warung, located at the same place as the shala.

You will have the option to enjoy vegan, vegetarian, and even foods including meat. For other dietary requirements, kindly let Yoga Bliss know ahead of time.
