This special retreat will offer you support when you have the need to make a deep change in habits concerning your health. It consists of a lot of personal guidance by a certified psychologist, a certified yoga teacher, and a down-to-earth kitchen chef. The combination of yoga, balanced food, and psychological guidance provides you with a multiple faceted approach, which can show you multiple entrances to your recovery.
The 3 guest rooms have separate entrances and are offered only as a service for people who do yoga and therapeutic sessions, a maximum of 5 guests. There is one large double room (2 single beds), one normal double room (queen size bed), and one single room (1 single bed), all with their own bathroom (2 attached, 1 in the hall). There is no TV and no air-con, but all rooms have ventilators and central heating. Our guests do NOT get to choose the room online. Guests are never placed in a shared room unless they travel together.
This retreat will be held in a home, not in a hotel. Please take a look at the images provided to have the right expectations. Your main desire should be the program, not a luxury resort (although the house is comfortable and your hosts will do all in their power to support your needs).
The retreat center is in Aleid and Doby’s home, they run the retreats as a couple and live on a separate floor. In the exotic garden and under the roof of the veranda, you can relax on sunbeds or puffs or take a hammock to where you want.
For the yoga classes, mats, and meditation pillows are provided. The yoga has a maximum of five participants and they are given outdoors when possible. From April to October, you can be sure to enjoy outdoor yoga. In January, March, November, and December, yoga classes mix outdoor and indoor instruction. As soon as the sun is out, Aleid uses an outdoor coaching "office," which is available most of the year.
For a donation fee, you can also use the three bicycles and the infrared sauna. Your hosts will try to find a balance between connecting and private space for them and for you. You will have quite some time for yourself to rest. You are welcome to bring your own books, movies, or music. You can also use the house's collection. Your hosts like to share what they have, so if you need a specific thing, tool, fire pot, paint, or clay, do ask.

For people in this situation, Yoga and Coaching Retreats Mallorca offer a unique form of assistance combined with literally taking a step back from their situation. In this Mallorca retreat, you will be offered therapy, coaching, yoga sessions with time for sightseeing and relaxation. The daily program usually consists of a half day of therapy, coaching, or preparation, leaving the other half of the day free.
The form of yoga you are going to practice is Transformational yoga. This style of yoga was developed by Ganga Hoogendoorn. Experiences and notions manifest themselves in your body, self-image, relationships, and behavior. Transformation refers to the transition from fear to love.
In individual lessons, you will pay attention to a chosen theme or work on investigation and relief of a physical complaint. Aleid has a strongly developed intuition and approach to the body and breathing. She doesn’t think yoga is just a series of positions which you can learn. You can vary each position and each time it can have a different effect.
Possible themes include physical awareness, managing pain, coping with your limits, and with specific emotions. You will work on your capacity to move from inside, building up strength, creating space, and finding an inner balance. You will deepen your breathing and focus it on over-tense parts of your body. You will also learn to use your breathing as a source of energy.
By means of counseling from a cognitive behavioral and solution-focused therapy approach, you will find an answer to the issue you seek for. Almost everybody goes through difficult periods in their life. Perhaps your self-confidence has declined. Or your faith in others and the world may have been harmed by particular experiences. During the talks, Aleid can help you to regain confidence.
By means of coaching, Aleid can stimulate you to explore various sides of yourself. For example, you may want to operate differently at home or at work, but don't yet know exactly how. Or you may want to brainstorm about creative processes.
This retreat is also available for two persons traveling together (a friend or a family member, just anyone you like to bring). The first person will have all main program while the second will only have yoga program. However, the main program session can also be used for two.
Short walks in the area included, often late afternoon. It can be discussed if you would like to visit the neighbouring villages. Santanyi has a very nice market on Wednesdays and Saturdays, 15-minute by bicycle or car drop off possible. We provide cycle and walking routes on maps and guidebooks.
From May till September, guests can join going to great local flamenco and other concerts in an outdoor venue at least once per week.
Aleid is a qualified yoga instructor who utilizes her knowledge on evidence-based psychology to gain a wider perspective and approach to healing. She was born and bred in Rotterdam, Netherlands, where she received her master's degree in psychology in the University of Amsterdam. Her travels have made her more knowledgeable and broadened her knowledge of different cultures and times. She has concentrated on her own blend of yoga, coaching, therapy, and meditation since 2004 when she started her own successful psychological practice called “Personal Radiance.”
Doby comes from a family with a curiosity towards many different cultures, especially culinary culture and music. He started helping his mother in the kitchen from a young age and never stopped liking the process of preparing world food and the joy of eating together. Doby trained as a cabinet maker first to allow him to live and work anywhere in the world and building beautiful kitchens was a favorite. After going trough cancer, Doby took up healthy, tasty cooking as a new profession and loves it.
This retreat will take place in Cala Figuera, Spain. There are walking and cycling paths from the house along the coast and into the typical Mediterranean backlands with forests, flowers, olive, and fruit trees. The house is on the outer ring of the beautiful, natural, small fishing harbor.
Just one street down, you will see the ever changing light on the water and the typical Mallorquin white fishing boats, the llauts. You will also see the fishermen work on their nets and sell their catch every afternoon. There is a small boulevard with a cliff and sea view restaurants nearby.
Further down, you will find a few shops, a mini market, a cash machine, diving, kayak, and SUP and boat tours. Just beyond the harbor is Parque Natural Mondrago, a large area with protected forest landscape, cliffs, and two stunning white beaches. You will see they resemble the Caribbean, with turquoise waters.
In warm months, you may head out early to do yoga on the beach. Nearby, you will also find Santanyi, one of the bigger villages with more services, including a small hospital, post office, galleries, nice shops, two big supermarkets, cafés, and restaurants, some of them with weekly live music.
From Cala Figuera you can also visit wonderful places, including Coves de Drac, Cabrera Island, Randa Monastery, and Monasterio de San Salvador. There are also famous beaches where you can relax and take in the sun, including the famous Es Trench Beach.

You will be served light vegetarian, sugar, and dairy free food. Yoga and Coaching Retreats Mallorca already liked cooking fresh homemade world food. However, after Doby (the chef) suffered from cancer, Yoga and Coaching Retreats Mallorca seriously start to study alimentation that supports the system to heal and to be as healthy as one can without losing the joy of cooking and eating. Yoga and Coaching Retreats Mallorca will gladly pass this knowledge on through the daily instructions and tips for healthy cooking.
Aside from that, there will be also a possibility to do a six-day juice detox without any additional costs. You will be guided in the preparation and you will spend six days with only three fresh juice daily and the guided build-up.
In all seasons except winter, there are boat tours and stand up paddle and kayak rentals from Cala Figuera at a few minutes from the house. Boat rentals in Porto Petro available all year round if the weather allows.
During the retreat, you will enjoy two 60-minute sessions of Reiki or massage treatments.
