The venue for this retreat is the beautiful five-star Aegialis Hotel and Spa, ranked by CNN as a top five yoga destination. This year, you will have complimentary upgrades to the hotel suites! This is not to be missed - who doesnt love a private jaccuzi?

Accommodations at Aegialis Hotel and Spa are airy with sea-view balconies. Each room is air-conditioned and includes a private bathroom, hairdryer, safe and refrigerator, as well as complimentary bathrobes and pool towels.

You should land in Athens before 2 p.m. in order for you to catch the only ferry of the day from Pireaus port, Athens. The ferry takes around eight hours and is during the beautiful ocean sunset. It is a huge boat with a cinema, shops and restaurants.

You will arrive late at night on the first night and will therefore begin practice the next morning. You will enjoy classes every day, but if you would like an afternoon off to explore, this can be discussed and Wild Human can arrange this for you.

All yoga classes are between 90 and 120 minutes long, with decent meditation and pranayama practices. Fitness classes will be one hour long. You will benefit from at least two yoga teachers being around to answer questions, etc. The classes will be varied - one strong asana practice daily and one gentle and restorative class daily.

The yoga styles practiced are Hatha, Hatha Flow, Vinyasa Flow, and Yin yoga. Fitness classes will be dance, boxing, kickboxing, gym classes, and more.

All levels, shapes and sizes are welcome.

Teens are more than welcome to attend. Children are welcome to come, as child care during the yoga classes can be arranged with on-site baby sitting services at the hotel. Or come with a parter or friend to help with child care.

This retreat will take place on the beautiful and magnetic Amorgos island, at the south-eastern edge of the Cyclades group.

This remarkably unspoiled island is well known for its healing and transformative energy, dramatically beautiful landscapes, medicinal herbs that grow wildly on its hills and valleys as well as for its hypnotic blue waters.

Here, traditional customs are still inextricably interwoven into a landscape as rich in beauty as it is in history and culture. This is a place that appears untouched by time.

There are two ports on the island: of Katapola, and of Aegiali, where ferries, catamaran and hydrofoils call, connecting Amorgos with the other islands and the main land. There are also several beaches along the coast line, and especially beautiful is the long and sandy beach in Aegiali.

Amorgos is also famous worldwide for its hiking trails. There are several marked historical paths to explore the different areas of the island on foot, and old donkey routes that connect the villages of Amorgos.

Brunch and evening meal are included, along with a nutritious and delicious smoothie in the middle of the day.

You can spend your free time sun bathing, swimming, reading, snorkeling, and relaxing. Wild Human can also arrange a day trip around the island for a small additional charge of around 15 GBP per person. The small towns, blue bays and wild goats make a great day out. The landscape is like something which you surely have never seen before!

A massage is included in the price. Guests at this retreat will have full use of the hotel’s five-star spa facilities:

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos" (ATH). You should land in Athens before 2 p.m. to catch the only ferry of the day from the Pireaus port in Athens. The ferry is likely to leave at 5:30 p.m. but this must be checked online in advance. The ferry takes around eight hours and is a sun set cruise. Wild Human can collect you at the port in Amorgos.

Arrival by bus

For the transfer from the airport to the Pireaus port, you can take bus X96 every 20 minutes from the arrivals level of the airport, between Entrance 4-5. It goes to Karaiskaki Square in Piraeus, right by the ferry port, taking 75 to 90 minutes. A ride costs 5 EUR.

Arrival by train

You may also want to consider taking the metro; a ride lasts around 40 minutes.

Arrival by taxi

From the airport, you will need to take a taxi or metro to the port to get on the ferry to Amorgos. The taxi ride takes 45 to 60 minutes.

    This was my first yoga retreat and it was fantastic.

    PROS Positives: As a beginner I was unsure what to expect but the yoga teachers Rach and Amanda were fantastic in teaching all levels and abilities. The venue, facilities, food and teaching were fab. I would definitely recommend to anyone interested even as a complete beginner.

    "I first met Rach during the Om & Bass Yoga Festival that she organises in Braziers Park, Wallingford. With her Multi coloured mohawk wig and bright pink tutu! I thought, never had I seen a yoga teacher like it! Haha!"

But having been to a couple of Rach's classes now, i can safely say that yoga is looking to become something im more interested in! "

    "Lots of people go to a retreat for a reason, I went for the love of yoga and got so much more! The House and surroundings are beautiful, loved the Yoga, I've been practicing for a while and felt like I got so much more out of the practice with Rach, I've even signed up for her weekly Yoga classes even though I have to travel it's worth it when you find a great teacher. Great itinerary with a mix of activities to take your mind off detoxing. The food was really good (not something you normally hear on a detox) but it really was! Freshly made, locally sourced, delicious and made with peace and love! It was my first retreat and at the risk of sounding dramatic it was life changing! I'd recommend this retreat for anyone...it's a must!"

    "Her retreats which takes place in beautiful places in Europe got the same positive vibe. They're good, fun and got the right amount of seriousness. Rachel helps with anything you may need help for before and during the trip. The groups are a good size not to big and it's easy to get involved with everyone. At one of the retreats I did, we did some kickboxing too, which was great and in some way it matched the whole yoga vibe too.Really awesome and great retreats, cant recommend these retreats more.     "The Easter weekend retreat at Braziers Park was fantastic. The yoga classes were challenging (especially the pre-breakfast classes!) but great fun and I learnt a lot. We also experimented with different forms of meditation and I particularly enjoyed the art mediation. I was really pleased that we learnt some Thai yoga massage techniques too. All in all it was a lovely weekend with lovely people, lovely food and lovely surroundings! I was very sad to leave on the Sunday afternoon. I would definitely recommend a retreat with Rach (Wild Human/Yoga Lovin'), she's bonkers but great!"

    "I went to the Yoga retreat in Croatia last year and had an amazing time. Yoga and meditation on a mountain top is incredible and I came back fully recharged. Rachel is an wonderful yoga teacher. Her style is relaxed and accessible for people of all abilities. I love the fact that she will make you comfortable with how much you want to do yourself but will also teach you to challenge yourself and make better progress. There are also times when you need your arse kicked into shape and she's not afraid to do that! Above all, the classes are fun and you will always have a feeling of well being after.I would definitely recommend it especially if you are on a budget. It is affordable for people who may not otherwise have the means for an expensive retreat."
