    All rooms at Pi Blau have been designed using high-quality, ethically sourced materials. All stylish and comfortable rooms are en-suite, apart from two rooms, which share a bathroom and separate toilet. Underfloor heating and blackout curtains in all the rooms ensure whenever you visit Pi Blau, you are met with comfort. Hair dryers, fans, and free Wi-Fi are also available during your stay.

    In addition, a large, communal living space on the ground floor of the yoga studio offers you the chance to relax in comfort and peruse an array of yoga books. The spacious yoga studio floods with light allowing you to connect with the natural surroundings and focus your energy on the practice. Large folding doors let the eco-build come into its own, allowing the sea breeze to flow into the space and keeping the room cool and fresh.

    During this retreat, you will enjoy two daily yoga sessions. There will be one afternoon off to explore the area. Joanna is a certified Ashtanga yoga teacher and holds a 300-hour certification in Prana Flow Energetic Vinyasa yoga, a 500-hour registered yoga teacher certification, and a senior yoga teacher certification from Yoga Alliance UK.

    Yoga with Diana Holland - September 7 to September 14, 2017

    During this retreat, you will enjoy two daily yoga sessions. There will be one afternoon off to explore the area. Diana teaches a rhythmic style of Hatha yoga, moving with the breath and igniting each yoga posture from the core, creating strong and graceful movement. Her classes include simple precise Pilates, meditation, gentle physical release work, and guided deep relaxation.

    Yoga with Lucy McCarthy - October 10 to October 17, 2017

    There will be two daily yoga classes with one afternoon off in the middle of the week to allow for some time to explore the area. Lucy teaches mindful breath and alignment-based, Forrest-inspired Vinyasa Flow. Passionate about the physical, spiritual and emotional benefits of yoga, Lucy's classes encourage an open, content heart and a quiet, calm mind.

    • Diana Holland

      Diana is a fun, enthusiastic teacher with more than 30 years of teaching experience in yoga, Pilates, and dance. She first studied Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga with John Scott. Amazed at how balanced she felt mentally, physically, and spiritual after each class, she knew her next training would be to become a yoga teacher. Diana went on to qualify as an Iyengar yoga teacher in London after studying extensively with renowned senior Iyengar teacher, Maxine Tobias. Diana now teaches a more rhythmic style of Hatha yoga and is an experienced physical therapist and hypnotherapist.

    • Lucy McCarthy

      Lucy McCarthy’s yoga journey began many years ago on a rooftop in India. She fell immediately in love with this beautiful ancient practice and has never looked back. She has trained under the guidance of many wonderful teachers, most notably Max Strom, Ana Forrest, and Clive Sheridan. Lucy teaches mindful breath and alignment based Vinyasa Flow. Passionate about the physical, spiritual, and emotional benefits of yoga, her classes encourage being open to whatever is in your heart and mind when you arrive at the mat.

      Joanna's love of dynamic, flowing sequences led her to pursue the Ashtanga yoga teacher training, which she completed in 2004 with Brian Cooper and Nawajyoti at Union Yoga in Edinburgh and Shanti Griha in Scoraig, Scotland. She continues to deepen her yoga practice and draws inspiration from workshops and intensives with a wide range of well-known yogis. She holds a 300-hour certification in Prana Flow Energetic Vinyasa yoga with Shiva Rea and has also completed the intensive Yogabeats teacher training with David Sye.

    This retreat will take place in Begur, Spain. Pi Blau is a stunningly designed eco-villa, perfect for yoga retreats. Overlooking the fantastic Costa Brava coastline, the private villa is situated only a 10-minute walk to the local beach, where you will have the chance to listen to calming waves and unwind by the shore during the day.

    The delicious meals are healthy, organic and, where possible, sourced from Pi Blau's own vegetable garden. The chef will provide vegetarian meals with fish for those who would like. The relaxed atmosphere of the villa means that the three family-style daily meals are generally cooked in front of guests in the open-plan kitchen area.

    The space is flexible and you can choose to eat in the dining room or on the wooden terrace by the pool. Local wine is available for a small cost to enjoy during meals; an honesty list is kept for soft drinks so you can help yourself.

    In between classes, you can enjoy the outdoor living areas; relaxing on the hammocks offers views of the beautiful saltwater pool that seems to disappear into the ocean. If you want to explore the local area, there is a chance to visit Figueras to see the Salvador Dali Museum or arrange a hike to further beaches, such as Aiguablava and beyond.

    Pi Blau has its own treatment room. If you choose to have some extra indulgence, massages can be booked with a local therapist upon arrival.
