Inhale fresh mountain air, soak in the Alpine sun, enjoy the last days of winter and find new inspiration in your daily yoga practice. We are spending the Easter holiday high above Davos on the "Magic Mountain" – at the legendary Schatzalp hotel with its unique art nouveau architecture, reminiscent of the times when the building used to be a famous Alpine sanatorium. The views from up here are simply stunning, and you don’t need to be spiritual to feel the healing powers of this very special place on Earth.
Our morning practice is strong and deep, in the afternoons we ease stress and tension with a relaxing restorative Yin Yoga session. We hike as high up as we can at this time of year and gaze over the splendid panorama of snowy mountain tops. All yoga levels welcome!
We leave our luggage at the valley station of the Schatzalpbahn and take the bus to the Sertig valley, where we enjoy a tasty lunch at the rustic Bergführer restaurant. After lunch we take a stroll to the picturesque waterfall at the end of the valley and take the bus back to Davos Platz. The Schatzalpbahn takes us to the hotel high above the city of Davos where we check in and then meet at the Chalet for our Yin Yoga practice.
Noon/afternoon: (Winter) hike and stop at an inn. If the weather and snow situation allow for it, we hike up to the Strela pass and enjoy the splendid panoramic views. Or we take a less demanding route, should the weather not be in our favour. You are of course free to leave your hiking boots in the closet and just relax at the sauna or on the hotel’s historic terrace.
Noon/afternoon: Leisure time – relax on the terrace with a book, visit the hotel’s sauna area, sledge down to Davos or follow the traces of Thomas Mann on the themed Höhenweg.
Easy access to Davos from Zurich Airport by train or bus.
