The Leanda Lei Apartments are centrally located, with easy access to beaches, shops, cafes. It is one of the largest accommodation facilities on the island.

A choice of studio, one bedroom or two bedroom apartments are available, all self-contained with a kitchen and ensuite. It is very comfortable and has recently been renovated. The grounds are delightful with outdoor barbecues.

Day 1

Arrive at Lord Howe Island and settle into your apartment.

Buy supplies for lunch and dinners.

Take a walk around the local area.

Dinner - Share our first dinner together at one of the super restaurants.

  • Early Morning Energisation overlooking the beautiful ocean

  • Orientation with Peter around the island with some interesting history.
  • Lunch
  • Free Time to swim, walk, have a coffee, chat with the locals, snorkel, scuba dive, kayak, or simply do nothing.

  • Early morning yoga stretches on the cliff top.
  • Breakfast
  • A snorkeling trip to North Bay with Peter.
  • Lunch
  • An afternoon yoga session.
  • Time to do your own thing and investigate all the little nooks and crannies of this amazing island.
  • Dinner - either out or in your apartment.

  • Early morning Qi Gong
  • Barbeque Breakfast at Neds Beach
  • A morning yoga session.

  • A nature walk in the afternoon with Ian Hutton or Ron from Ronnie's Rambles.
  • Time for a swim in the beautiful lagoon or Neds Beach. Maybe a bike ride or a hike up Malabar Hill, or similar.

Lyn Thomas
Lyn Thomas is the founder and director of Sunshine Yoga. In her early 20's she was already passionate about dispelling an increased awareness of health and wellness to the general public through the practice of yoga and relaxation. With the increase of stress and anxiety in our society, Lyn saw such a need to take her personal practice into a professional realm.

Retreat Ort

Lord Howe Island offers the perfect setting for escape, with its untouched beauty, unique flora and fauna, and rare species of birds and fish. The beautiful beaches and sheltered lagoon beckon with crystal clear turquoise waters. There are hideaway coves, mountains, headlands, wonderful walking tracks and mountains to climb, snorkeling, kayaking, or scuba diving. Most of the island is still covered in its native forest and a big part of it is completely protected.

Lord Howe prides itself with superb restaurants and cafes with local fresh fish being a number one favorite. It is truly an untouched paradise! With less than 400 permanent residents and under 400 tourists allowed on the island at one time, it is never crowded. The completely unpolluted environment offers you peace and tranquility combined with a high energy holiday. Small groups enhance the total nourishment and enjoyment. Lyn’s comprehensive health and well-being program and her support, experience, friendship and fun guarantee long lasting warm heartfelt memories.


All breakfasts are provided. Lyn your facilitator and organizer use her creative cooking talents each morning to get you started with a healthy and nutritious meal. Lunch is not provided. You have a choice of eating out or eating in your apartment.

Food supplies can be brought from Joys Shop directly across the road from Leanda Lei. Sunshine Yoga & Health provides two dinners, the first and last evenings. For all other evening meals you can either eat in or eat out at one of the fabulous restaurants on the island, or there is always LHI fish & chips.
