Surf
Maderas
Playa Maderas is probably the most consistent beach break in the world. The waves aren't always great but when it's small, Maderas picks up the most swell, attracting an eclectic gathering of surfers from around the globe from long boarders to local rippers.
Marsella
When it's too big for Maderas or if it's just not working that well, check out Marsella which is a beautiful little pirates bay that has a point wave on the South end and a tubing beach break in the center.
Playa Remanso
A 15-minute trip South via boat or 30 minutes by land, Playa Remanso is a small bay with points on each side and a beach break in the middle. It's a great spot for beginners or when there's too much swell, Remanso usually holds.
Playa Hermosa
Just past Remanso is Hermosa, a mile long beach break which is typically softer but can get really good when the swell is large and from the right direction.
Yanqui
A little further to the South is Yanqui. Yanqui is a wedging beach break that is quite heavy when there is swell. It throws perfect tubes sometimes but can be somewhat fickle. Definitely a great spot for building up tube time.
Manzanillo
About 40 minutes to the North lies Playa Manzanillo, it's a private beach and only accessible via boat. With the right swell direction, it becomes absolutely the perfect point with multiple tube sections and several sections to hack and hack and hack.
