Accommodation is provided in beautifully furnished 5-metre bell tents. Nestled amongst the lemon and orange groves, the bell tents are simple but sumptuous, with electricity and comfortable beds. Each tent can sleep up to three people. Crisp bed linen and pool towels are provided. There are solar hot and cold powered showers facilities. Internet access is available. There is a small shop on site for all those little essentials you might need.

Styles of yoga to be taught:

In the morning classes we are going to have Asthanga MPS (modified primary serie) classes, these classes have the same sequence, it is a 'classic' yoga style which the goal is to combine breath and movement as a way of meditation.

In the afternoon classes we are going to meditate in a different way, in a playful way. Classes will be different daily, more dynamics, with some more challenging postures, with the idea to have fun playing around, smiling, letting go of the postures, building courage and self- confidence and being free from whatever is not in the present moment.

Your Rustic Retreats journey

Classes will be balanced between a quite serious meditation, based on the traditional Ashtanga Method and a playful meditation using the Vinyasa Flow style. The workshops are based on my perspective about yoga, so we are going to understand what is yoga and it's different styles so we can figure out which one fits us better.

The dynamic meditation. Removing that concept that meditation has to be in a still and serious position, we are going to my roots in the dance and pilates field, to understand some misconceptions and maybe understand my style of teaching, as yoga is not only connection but can be an expression of art, the art within each of us. The importance of breathing to our mental and physical health and the most important thing: connect to ourselves, respecting and learning to have gratitude to be who we are.

There is one workshop a day, it may be in the morning or afternoon. There is also the option to visit local markets on Wednesday and Sunday.


The meaning of yoga and its benefits to everybody

Yoga! It's methods, it's benefits, all you ought to know about it. This workshop is designed to understand better about the different styles of yoga in order to make it easier to

choose the one that fits you and your life. It brings to us what the benefits are of each method and remembering that whatever method you choose, will bring you benefits.

Meditation in many ways: singing, walking, dancing, smiling, mindfulness

The importance of being present and conscious. In this workshop we are going to pass through many kinds of meditation. Actually, what is meditation? The idea is to remove all the preconceptions and fear we have about meditation and let it flow. Learning a little bit about all methods of meditation and the benefit to our daily life and again, there is a meditation that will fit you. We will talk about mindfulness and living in the present moment, learning to control the mind and not the way around. Also, we will practice some of the meditations.

Pilates and ballet versus yoga, the physical similarities and the differences of them

Here we are going to explain what the main differences are between pilates and yoga, we will have some practice here. Also we are going to dive into the dance world, associating the connection to pilates and to yoga in different ways. The physical and the artistic, looking at yoga as an expression of art also, the art that comes from inside, another way of meditation, another way to connect within, another way to express your love through yoga.

Women power, the importance of respecting our nature and to recognize our power being ourselves

Here we are going to discuss the pressure women are suffering lately with all that the society expect from us. The women that have to: work, have kids, get married, be fit, have friends, family and all in a perfect way. Women are not allowed to relax and respect their inner voice, not even accept their biological cycle.

We are going to work with discussions to try to find within what our real life is, the one we wish for inside but being forced to have another. We will learn the importance to respect ourselves, our limitations, our period...accepting, sheltering our fragility and fear in order to let it go and live a more peaceful and joyful life.

​-Pranayama and the importance of breathing

In this workshop we are going to learn some pranayama techniques and their importance to our body. The breath and it's benefit to our body and mind, also learning how breath can teach us how courageous we are without noticing and learning more about the duality of life.

    Graziella started practicing yoga when she was 13 years old. She was a former ballet dancer and has practiced pilates for most of her life, but she always preferred yoga because of the numerous extra benefits. She has practiced Ashtanga, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Iyengar, Brikan, Thai Yoga and finally she found Vinyasa flow, which she believes is the one which fits her better. She likes mixing the styles, in order to combine the best benefits of each method. She also teaches a traditional Ashtanga Yoga (MPS) in which she is a 200h teacher certified by Alliance with “It's Yoga Firenze”.

Rustic Retreats is nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Espuna Mountains, southern Spain. This beautiful site has so much to offer to so many, they have an organic vegetable garden, fresh mountain spring water, solar power throughout, a beautiful swimming pool, earth-bag dome, stunning yoga platform on the side of the mountain, hammocks, orange and lemon trees, a tailor made pinewood meditation / relaxation cabin with views across the valley, outdoor showers so you can shower under the stars, and so much more. Stimulate all your senses whilst you absorb the bright colors, beautiful textures, tantalizing flavors, and sublime aromas of the fresh food served at Rustic Retreats. The chef will create a myriad of fresh, healthy vegetarian meals to tantalize your pallet, all using the ripest, freshest, seasonal ingredients that are locally produced either from their very own organic garden and vegetable patch or from the local market and farmers.

Varieties of fruit are growing freely on the site such as lemons, oranges, almonds, pomegranate, and carob to name but a few. All vegetarian meals are lovingly prepared by a trained chef in the outdoor kitchen and are served 'al fresco' whenever possible. All meals are included in the price. The meals have been so popular with the clients that they are looking at producing a recipe book for next season.

Example menu:

  • Start the day with a fruit smoothie or refreshing mint tea.
  • Breakfast baby spinach omelet, cereals, fruit and French toast.
  • Lunch bell pepper frittata, bean and yogurt salad, and pumpkin bread.
  • Evening meal squash and zucchini casserole with wild rice and lemon tart.


  • All day snack menu is available but cost is not included in the price. Alcohol is available at a small extra charge.
