This Yin yoga teacher training is suitable for yoga students of all levels and teacher alike who have an interest in exploring a complementary practice to the active, dynamic, yang, yoga styles. This training will strengthen both your knowledge about and your practice of yoga. Yin yoga may be considered by many as a modern-day form of yoga or possibly even a western take on yoga, designed to deliver the wants and needs of the practitioner.
Preksha Yoga Ashram is a live-in school, a place of learning where you can focus your mind and learn from experienced and knowledgeable teachers. The ashram is set up to mimic that of India’s traditional and ancient Gurukul System, where you will be guided and supported by teachers throughout your stay with.
This environment is simplistic in nature and practicality, allowing the space for growth and stillness. It is a simple, clean, and eco-friendly, wooden cottages. All rooms have attached bathrooms. The bathrooms are equipped with western toilets and western showers
Most forms of yoga today are dynamic, active practices designed to work only half of our body, the muscular half or the Yang tissue. Yin yoga, on the other hand, allows you to work the other half, the deeper, Yin tissue of our ligaments, joints, deep fascia networks, and even the bone. Yin is an incredibly meditative practice, allowing space to be created and experienced in the body and the mind. Using the breath to calm the mind and in turn release the thoughts and bodily tension, finding comfort in the discomfort that may arise.
After completion of the course, you will receive an internationally recognized yoga teacher certification.
Yoga means bringing discipline to the body, mind, and soul. The rules and regulations of the yoga school in India exist to guarantee the maximum spiritual benefits and are a part of the yogic lifestyle.
This teacher training will take place at Preksha Yoga Ashram, India. The ashram is situated amongst the tall banana and coconut trees and surrounded by lush green vegetation, submerged beautifully in the rich nature of Mandrem, Goa. Tranquil and secure in its setting, the ashram is a mere 7-minute walk from Mandrem beach and the soft deep sounds of the sea can often be heard from your beds.
This teacher training included three pure vegetarian meals per day (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and herbal tea. Silence is observed during the meal.
The nearest airport is Goa International Airport (GOI) and is about 50 kilometers away from Mandrem. Pick-up and drop off can be arranged upon request.
Pernem Railway Station is the nearest railway station which is just about 18 kilometers away from Mandrem. Other railway stations one could alight are Thivim Railway Station, 23 kilometers and Madgaon Railway Station, 63 kilometers.
