Every day starts with pranayama and a yoga class designed to awaken the mind and prepare the body for hiking. Breakfast follows, with a range of plant-based, local organic foods that nourish the mind and tantalize the taste buds. Hikes are carefully chosen to accommodate the group’s fitness and enthusiasm. Each hike features astounding views, natural history and geology, a catered lunch and plenty of opportunities to rest and refuel.
A typical hike maybe 5-8 kilometres long, with 500-700 meters of elevation gain, which will take anywhere from 4-7 hours, depending on the groups' preference. Restorative yoga after hikes helps loosen tight muscles and recover smoothly after the exertion of the hikes. After dinner evening sessions focus on empowerment, finding a strong voice, avoiding conflict and simple physical skills to keep yourself safe.
During this retreat, food is an opportunity to celebrate together! Dinner will feature seafood purchased directly from local fishermen, fresh vegetables, and organic salads, prepared with love by qualified chefs. You will learn to make raw chocolate, and fresh juices are always available.
There will be opportunities to create desserts and smoothies together. They can cater to vegan, gluten-free, and paleo diets, just be sure to check in and let them know your dietary requirements so they can provide delicious meals that will nourish each participant.
Daily yoga sessions help you start each day filled with prana and ready to relax and appreciate the nature you experience on your hikes. Pille Mitt is a yoga student and teacher, group fitness and personal trainer, nutritionist, lifestyle coach, and chocolate lover. She leads Ashtanga yoga modified primary series, yoga flow, mindful Restorative yoga classes, Les Mills body pump and body balance, indoor cycling, aerobics, and stretching classes. She helps her students and clients push their limits to achieve their goals. She comes from Tallinn, Estonia but now she has been living and working in Molde, Norway since 2012.
Leonie Sherman is a yoga teacher, self-defense instructor and wilderness adventurer from Santa Cruz California. She loves combining her athletic abilities, spiritual practice and teaching experience to create yoga and empowerment classes which nurture the whole person. She hopes to inspire growth and increase confidence in retreat participants through sharing her love of natural history, plant-based food, yoga, and self-defense.
