This active retreat offers you a long weekend in the fresh air with moderate hiking trips. You will visit some of the world's most scenic hiking destinations and the idyllic nature of Norway, along with its beautiful waterfalls, majestic mountains, and breathtaking views of the fjords. You will get to experience fantastic hiking trails, improve your yoga skills, and meet with like-minded people. Taking lots of good memories with you and return home looking forward to your next trip.
For this retreat, you can choose to stay in Thon Hotel Moldefjord or the local home apartment. There is usually no mosquitos in Molde.
The hotel is located in the city center, the rooms are comfortable and simple. It includes a private bathroom, shower, toiletries, and free wireless internet. You can choose between a single or a double room. If you want more privacy and time alone, Pille Mitt strongly recommends you to stay at the hotel. Kindly send Pille Mitt an inquiry if you prefer a more luxurious room.
The apartment has a single or double bedroom options. It is a local home, guest house, or camping place. You will share the bathroom together with four other participants. Those accommodations are located in different parts of the city and the group of participants who live together in the same house has a car with GPS and automatic gear. Don't worry, if you don't drive, you will be together with somebody who does.
The guided hiking tours are around 5-10 kilometers and the elevation 500-800 meters above sea level with slow pace and breaks. The daily yoga during the retreat provides a good start for the day and regenerates you from the physical challenges of the hikes. It helps you to stay fit and make your return home mentally relaxed after your hiking and yoga getaway.
The healthy food, freshly squeezed juices, and raw chocolate will give you the motivation to continue with yoga, training, and conscious diet back home.
You will start the days with pranayama and Vinyasa flow yoga. After yoga, it is time to enjoy the breakfast and prepare yourself for the hiking. Every day will be slightly different. There will be some shorter hikes and some longer hikes, 5-10 kilometer and about 500-700 meters above sea level, along with amazing views. During the hikes, you will find cozy places to rest and refuel, while enjoying the lunch package.
Practicing Yin and/or Restorative yoga after the hikes helps to stretch your muscles and recover after hikes. The daily yoga practice during the retreat provides a good start for the day and helps you regenerate from the physical challenges of the hikes. Pille Mitt will provide all equipment such as high-quality yoga mats, blocks, bolsters, and blankets.
Pille Mitt is a yoga student and teacher, group fitness and personal trainer, nutritionist, lifestyle coach, and chocolate lover. She leads Ashtanga yoga modified primary series, yoga flow, mindful Restorative yoga classes, Les Mills body pump and body balance, indoor cycling, aerobics, and stretching classes. She helps her students and clients push their limits to achieve their goals. She comes from Tallinn, Estonia but now she has been living and working in Molde, Norway since 2012.
Molde is a city and municipality in Romsdal, in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is a small town by the Moldefjord with a population of 26822. Molde is a very calm and relaxing city, it is famous for its amazing views. The place is surrounded by fjords and close to several remarkable hiking trails and viewpoints.
During this retreat, the breakfast will be prepared together, as well as clean together after. Some of the food will be prepared by the chef, such as overnight oats with different berries, nuts, seeds, pesto, and hummus. You will have tea, coffee, bread, eggs, traditional Norwegian fish, cheese, peanut butter, jam, tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, fruits, natural yogurt, and milk.
If you stay in the hotel, they have a very nice continental breakfast buffet available. You will need to make your own lunch to take with you to the mountains. It can be sandwich, salad, fruits, or leftovers from last night's dinner. Pille Mitt will provide boxes to take the food with you.
Daily dinner is not included in the price, Pille Mitt will collect 400 NOK for dinners. The chef will prepare delicious food for the participants, using local vegetables, fresh seafood bought from the local fisherman, and healthy desserts such as banana bread, fruit salads, raw chocolate, or bliss balls.
You can treat yourself with freshly squeezed juices and raw chocolate that will be made on spot. During or after dinner, there will be some discussions about the essence of yoga and eight limbs of yoga.
The following are optional activities and places that are available for you to enjoy during free time. There are spa treatments, massage, jacuzzi, swimming pool, or sauna available for extra fees.
