Om Yoga is a beautiful studio with a pool that combines modern living with traditional Moroccan styling and artwork sourced both from the local medina and from as far as the Himalayas. There are 4 private rooms and a shared female room on the site. All have private bathrooms inside the room The offsite accommodation is situated in 100 meters distance from Om Yoga, in a 4 stars hotel on the sea.

Program schedule

You can choose any of the classes in which you would like to participate in while you are on retreat. We have weekly classes that include Bikram, Hot Yoga, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Pilates, Wall Yoga, Aerial Yoga, Bungee, Yin Yoga, Yin Yang Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Restorative, Hormonal Yoga, Alignment Yoga, Power Yoga and even Mysore Style. Please note that not all styles are offered every day of the week and can change from week to week. There are additional extras like cooking lessons, surf lessons, and site seeing that we provide for an additional cost. Please note transportation is not included to any extra or sightseeing activities but can be arranged for you if needed.

Bikram yoga at Om Yoga Casablanca

Bikram is a wonderful 90-minute workout that improves fitness, flexibility and balance as well as increasing mental alertness and concentration. Each session consists of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises practiced in a heated room. Heat improves circulation, helps eliminate toxins and reduces the risk of injury during stretching. Though it can be challenging it is open to students of all ages and levels. The Bikram method was created to help people overcome the increasing stress of modern life and was designed to prevent illness, injury but assist with weight loss and reduce the effects of aging.

Hatha yoga at Om Yoga Casablanca

Hatha yoga is based on the postural practice of asanas and pranayama breathing, and is open to students of all levels. It allows beginners to take the time to learn the basics at their own pace, and can consist of both static postures and dynamic flows, such as the popular sun and moon salutations. The emphasis in Hatha yoga is on breathing and the fusion of mind and body.

Power yoga at Om Yoga Casablanca

Power yoga is a series of dynamic movements designed to develop muscle strength, flexibility and breath control. Closely modeled on the Ashtanga method, Power Yoga is a vigorous fitness- based approach to the Vinyasa style. Regular practice ensures many benefits, namely the relaxation of the body and the development of balance.

Vinyasa yoga at Om Yoga Casablanca

Vinyasa yoga consists of various sequences of postures. Postures are combined to create a dynamic flow, with focus placed on synchronizing the movement and breathing. Vinyasa develops strength and flexibility, and provides a considerable cardiovascular benefit and increased fitness level to all practitioners.

Yin yoga at Om Yoga Casablanca

Is a gentle form of yoga that is suitable for everyone and is practiced mostly on the floor. It consists of twenty postures each held for up to several minutes, during which time the focus is on breathing and meditation.

Pilates

Is a method of exercising that lengthens and stretches all the major muscle groups in the body in a balanced fashion. All exercises are performed in harmony with breathing, concentration and movement control.

Barre au sol

The barre au sol uses the daily exercises of the dancers by using the barre for warm-ups before moving to the middle which uses traditional ballet techniques. Upon practicing the barre au sol, the body has the advantage of support surfaces and gravity plays differently on the force exerted on the muscles and joints. The position of sitting or lying down allows the students to focus attention on the alignment of the body and concentrate on parts that are difficult when done standing up.

Qi Gong

Qi Gong is pronounced chee koong and means vital energy drive. Developed by Dr. Toshihiko Yayama, surgeon and oncologist, Qi Gong is a method that combines mental and physical relaxation to revitalize internal organs. According to its practitioners, Qi Gong is a path of personal development, a welcome source of well-being and rejuvenation.

Ashtanga 1-2

Ashtanga yoga is a system of yoga transmitted to the modern world by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois (1915-2009). This method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga nidra or "yogi sleep" is a sleep-like state which yogis report to experience during their meditations. Yoga nidra, lucid sleeping is nidraong the deepest possible states of relaxation while still maintaining full consciousness.

Fit Flow fly

Fit Flow Fly was developed from Ashtanga yoga and made famous by Dice and Briohny Smith-Klein. Also called Energy Yoga, Fit Flow Fly is a safe way to prepare your body for the challenge of inversions and arm balancing postures.

Aerial Yoga

Aerial Yoga combines traditional mat yoga with postures suspended in soft fabric hammocks. With the help of gravity and the hammocks, we can playfully explore floating, fluid movements and create space in our bodies without compressing our joints and spine. The feeling in the body is exquisite.

Vocational training dancer, Laurine danced in the largest international companies - English Ballet, Paris Opera, Bordeaux Opera, Opéra de Nice ... Fascinated by the work of the body and physical discipline, she discovered Bikram Yoga in Casablanca soon finds a new means of personal expression and a new way of working his body. It forms the series of ashtanga flow from very famous Briohny Smith and Dice Iida Klein Absolute Yoga Academy, Yin yoga and Acroyoga. She also shares her knowledge and love of dance with children with ballet classes.
Nabil Scally
After 15 years of active life spent in Montreal, Nabil Scally discovered Bikram yoga and decided to attend a teacher training in College of India (Hawaii). After graduation, he taught very rapidly in some of the biggest studios of the United States, particularly in Washington. Meanwhile, he graduated from the International School of Chiang Mai Thai massage. Caught up by its roots, Nabil then returns to Morocco with the desire to know the discipline of yoga and the virtues of well-being to a still unfamiliar market to these practices. A challenge that takes head on two years.
Aurelie M. Scally
After five years of experience in the world of the press and audiovisual, Aurélie discovered Bikram Yoga there are more than two years and has a passion for this as soon as physical mental discipline. Excited to share her passion in Morocco, she then mounts the center Om Yoga with her husband Nabil Scally. She takes off for a training Ashtanga flow at Absolute Yoga Academy in Thailand, certified by the very famous Briohny Smith and Dice Iida Klein. It also offers courses to acroyoga, yoga for children and pregnant women.
Camila Harris
Design school graduate and fashion, Camila comes straight from Canada with two successive training conducted in Mysore in India, she loves and she was able to soak up the atmosphere for several months. Certified a 200 hours Hatha Yoga with Noah McKenna and a 200 hours Ashtanga Yoga School in Mystic, India, she taught at Om Yoga since September 2015.
Kayla Ankeny
Kayla is a passionate artist through movement and music. Trained in various techniques of yoga and specializes in vinyasa, she teaches yoga and provides massage therapy for over 10 years. Since 2005, she trained with master device Dotour to ASCAB Capoiera to deepen the techniques of this Brazilian martial art. Passionate about dance, she also follows her chorégaphe training at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York, and has obtained a BFA in dance from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Om Yoga Centre is close to the major tourist attractions and must-see sights, yet provides a welcome oasis from the bustle of the busy Casablanca streets. Tucked away in the winding idyllic palm tree-lined streets of Anfa, this stunning white Mediterranean style villa provides a relaxing and luxurious environment to call home for the duration of your stay.

The Om Yoga Centre is located 100 meters from the beach and just two kilometers away from the city. Surrounded by a lush green garden, the retreat contains a spacious modern studio that overlooks a beautiful pool and outdoor recreation area in which to relax and unwind under the Moroccan sun. The main salon is fitted with lush comfortable lounges to enjoy a refreshing herbal tea and chat with fellow practitioners and teachers alike after a class or an invigorating massage.
