Come on a winter escape of week of relaxation, rejuvenation, adrenaline, and adventure. Awaken the soul with outdoor mountain activities, daily yoga, inspirational talks, nutritious food, massage, and hot tubs. With daily movement classes to suit any level, this retreat will be easy for anybody to join on the path to well-being.
During the retreat, you will be staying at The Sherwood, a recently renovated guest rooms traverse the humble luxury of a lakeside studio to the communal comfort of a queen-size bunk room and cater for any independent traveler seeking atmosphere and authenticity.
You’ll find the sheltered central garden perfect for spontaneous leisure, sun-drenched breakfasts, late afternoon cocktails, or a fireside sing-along while the surrounding bike track, kitchen gardens, orchard, and sunset tipi provide many a hidden spot for a picnic or snooze.
For the rooms at Sherwood, they have natural comforts in their purest form, inspiration found in art and culture, balanced against the genetics of a mid-80’s hotel building, and above all a place where you can enjoy a good sleep.
The room mini-bar is stocked with a curated selection of craft beer, organic New Zealand sodas, and a rotating placement of natural tea and fine spirits. For comfort and warmth wrap yourself in a thick woolen blanket courtesy of South Island flocks, wash with essential manuka honey and Myrtle, gaze upon custom wall art and appreciate the cultural richness of handwoven furnishings.
You will be welcomed with a fresh juice and wholesome energizing snack and will have the option to go straight into a relaxing and rejuvenating massage to get you in the right headspace for absorbing the benefits of the next four days. You will enjoy an uplifting and connecting yoga session to further relax and set your intentions for the adventures ahead.

An awakening yoga session will get you ready for the adventure of the day ahead. A nutritious and healthy breakfast will fuel you up in the right way for lasting energy. You will spend the day skiing or snowboard some of the most stunning alpine areas in Queenstown being led by a qualified ski instructor who will take you to places off the beaten track or off the groomed trails.
If the weather allows, you will picnic lunch next to an alpine lake. You will then have time to free ski or board in the afternoon and explore the mountain more or you may opt for further ski tuition. Then what could be better after a day of skiing and riding some epic terrain than soaking in a hot tub overlooking the Shotover River? A healthy nourishing dinner will round out the day before you retire to your cozy accommodation at the Sherwood Eco Hotel.
Another nourishing breakfast to start the day, then head out to an alpine area dedicated to cross-country skiing. The wide groomed trails and easily accessible beginner terrain provide the perfect opportunity to try the sport for the first time or to develop your skills with the help of highly experienced instructors. After a lesson and some exploring, you will have lunch at an alpine hut and meander back to our Queenstown base for a Yin yoga session and mindfulness workshop.
You will complete your day by sharing a celebratory dinner together at a top Queenstown tapas restaurant.
After a wholesome breakfast, you will complete your final day adventuring with a backcountry trail run on one of Queenstown’s many beautiful trails near Arrowtown. Now that you have reignited your adventurous spirit, you will complete your retreat with a goal setting revision workshop to ensure you have the steps in place to start making your dreams come alive and ensure you are living the wonderful life you deserve.

This yoga retreat is set on three acres of alpine hillside in Queenstown, New Zealand, overlooking Lake Wakatipu and the remarkable mountain range. This location offers a unique setting to unwind and reconnect with self and nature.
