Namaste Yoga Farm is located in the state of Karnataka on the tropical southwestern side of India, about a three-minute walk to Kudle Beach. Namaste Yoga Farm is famous for its well-known exclusive stay which provides its guests with an optimum comfort and peace. The feel, however, is like a homely and cozy type, with six exclusive rooms that present the perfect environment to do yoga, relax, and enjoy, plus seven eco cottages.

The interior of the place is naturally combined with attractive, elegant decor and quality, positioned near the Arabian Sea on Kudle Beach. Each room here is designed to hold the coastal view and is featured with a private terrace or balcony. The rooms are located far from the noise so you can enjoy a quiet and peaceful environment.

The property is located in an area that has a lot of trees and other greenery around and is highly susceptible to insects and other life forms that inhabit such areas. The property has terrain gradients that need to be taken into consideration for senior and physically challenged guests.

Pets are accepted solely at the discretion of the hotel and, with the exception of guide dogs, are not allowed in public places. Clients and guests are asked to check in advance with the hotel. The client is responsible for controlling the pet and will be liable for any damage, spoilage, or injury however caused by the pet.

Classic cottages

This Namaste Yoga Farm cottage makes an ideal holiday retreat and the perfect base for exploring all the delights of the south coast. Relax and unwind after the beach in this cozy cottage, or enjoy the fresh air and dine in a beach restaurant. Discover the sub-tropical gardens and spend a day at one of the many beaches surrounding this lovely Brahmin town. It is very peaceful.

Classic cottages have a garden view without glass in the wooden frames. Not good to book if you are scared of small animals like geckos, frogs, and ants because they are visiting frequently. This is an outdoor cottage with small critters.

Tree houses

Tree houses are very basic and build on plywood boards. You have a light, electric plug-ins, Wi-Fi (WLAN) connection, roll-out mattress, and a mosquito net. There is a wooden ladder going up. The roof and low side walls are made from coconut leaves and bamboo. Toilets and showers are within a few seconds walk and the chill-out space is just below. Shape and size of the tree house vary because they get rebuild every year because of the monsoon.

Standard rooms

Namaste Yoga Farm's seascape flows into these rooms designed to embrace the coastal view. Simple design and comfortable furnishings allow for nature's tranquility to permeate your personal resort accommodation. Most rooms feature either a private terrace or balcony.

Deluxe rooms

Are you looking for a retreat from your busy lifestyle at a quiet, private hideaway close to the beach? Namaste Yoga Farm's six secluded rooms offer accommodation as an alternative to the motel / hotel experience. With views of the Arabian Sea, this deluxe guesthouse provides guests with outstanding service in a peaceful setting.

Nowadays, Namaste Yoga Farm has seen children highly equipped with technological gadgets. Parents also encourage their children to be good with technology, which is not a bad thing, but at the same time, a child should also be encouraged to play outdoors and spend time in nature, as these activities help a child to evolve and grow.

Yoga presented in a child's language can help counter the stress experienced by little ones living in a hurry-up world. Learn the benefits of teaching yoga for kids. Children live in a hurry-up world of busy parents, school pressures, incessant lessons, video games, malls, and competitive sports. You usually don't think of these influences as stressful for your kids, but often they are. The bustling pace of your children's lives can have a profound effect on their innate joy - and usually not for the better.

Yoga can help counter these pressures. When children learn techniques for self-health, relaxation, and inner fulfillment, they can navigate life's challenges with a little more ease. Yoga at an early age encourages self-esteem and body awareness with a physical activity that's noncompetitive. Fostering cooperation and compassion- instead of opposition - is a great gift to give to your children.

Children derive enormous benefits from yoga. Physically, it enhances their flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness. In addition, their concentration and sense of calmness and relaxation improve. Doing yoga, children exercise, play, connect more deeply with the inner self, and develop an intimate relationship with the natural world that surrounds them. Yoga brings that marvelous inner light that all children have to the surface.

When yogis developed the asanas many thousands of years ago, they still lived close to the natural world and used animals and plants for inspiration - the sting of a scorpion, the grace of a swan, the grounded stature of a tree. When children imitate the movements and sounds of nature, they have a chance to get inside another being and imagine taking on its qualities. When they assume the pose of the lion (Simhasana) for example, they experience not only the power and behavior of the lion but also their own sense of power: when to be aggressive, when to retreat. The physical movements introduce kids to yoga's true meaning: union, expression, and honor for oneself and one's part in the delicate web of life.

Learn how to teach children

Yoga with children offers many possibilities to exchange wisdom, share good times, and lay the foundation for a lifelong practice that will continue to deepen. All that's needed is a little flexibility on the adult's part because, as Namaste Yoga Farm quickly found out when they first started teaching the practice to preschoolers, yoga for children is quite different than yoga for adults.

Six years ago, Namaste Yoga Farm had their first experience teaching yoga to kids at a local Montessori school. They looked forward to the opportunity with confidence. But after two classes with a group of three-to-six-year-olds, they had to seriously reevaluate their approach. They needed to learn to let go (the very practice they had been preaching for years) of their agenda and their expectations of what yoga is and is not.

When Namaste Yoga Farm began to honor the children's innate intelligence and tune in to how they were instructing me to instruct them, they began to co-create their classes. They used the yoga asanas as a springboard for exploration of many other areas - animal adaptations and behavior, music and playing instruments, storytelling, drawing - and their time together became a truly interdisciplinary approach to learning. Together they wove stories with their bodies and minds in a flow that could only happen in child's play.

How you can benefit from teaching yoga for kids

If you're planning to teach yoga to kids, there are a few general things to know that will enhance your experience. The greatest challenge with children is to hold their attention long enough to teach them the benefits of yoga: stillness, balance, flexibility, focus, peace, grace, connection, health, and well-being. Luckily, most children love to talk, and they love to move - both of which can happen in yoga. Children will jump at the chance to assume the role of animals, trees, flowers, warriors. Your role is to step back and allow them to bark in the dog pose, hiss in the cobra, and meow in cat stretch. They can also recite the ABCs or 123s as they are holding poses. Sound is a great release for children and adds an auditory dimension to the physical experience of yoga.

Children need to discover the world on their own. Telling them to think harder, do it better, or be a certain way because it's good for them is not the optimal way. Instead, provide a loving, responsive, creative environment for them to uncover their own truths. As they perform the various animal and nature asanas, engage their minds to deepen their awareness. When they're snakes (Bhujangasana), invite them to really imagine that they're just a long spine with no arms and legs. Could you still run or climb a tree? In Tree Pose (Vrikshasana), ask them to imagine being a giant oak, with roots growing out of the bottoms of their feet. Could you stay in the same position for 100 years? If you were to be chopped down, would that be okay? Would it hurt?

When they stretch like a dog, balance like a flamingo, breathe like a bunny, or stand strong and tall like a tree, they are making a connection between the macrocosm of their environment and the microcosm of their bodies. The importance of reverence for all life and the principle of interdependence becomes apparent. Children begin to understand that you and they are all made of the same stuff, just in different forms.
