Namaha Yoga School is pleased to be offering a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certified with Yoga Alliance. The training will take place at Kineta, Attiki, Greece. This “Intelligent Asana” training will guide you through a transformational experience of both body and spirit. You will also have the option of learning Thai massage and receiving a level one certificate in Thai massage. This is an optional section of the training offered at no extra cost. You will leave with the confidence to teach a well sequenced and well thought out Vinyasa and Hatha yoga class, as well as give a Thai massage.

Villa Arian practically consists of two villas and is an ideal place for rest and tranquility. The villas are situated directly on the beach, surrounded by a large garden with trees and lawn, and offer two private pools, a tennis court and rooms with en-suite bathrooms. A shared fully equipped kitchen and cooking essentials, as well as two shared living rooms are included.
This program will be an intensive training, consisting of four weeks in total. You must attend the entire course in order to be considered for graduation. It follows the traditional Guru Kula style of training, where the students live closely and study with their teacher. This gives the benefit of experiencing the yogic lifestyle of an ashram.
Over the course of one’s yoga life, alignment and the power to modify will make a radical difference to the depth of practice and to the subtleties of personal awareness and insight. Two questions at its root: What difference does a difference make? Now, what are you prepared to do? Be self-assured in answering them.
Being in yoga Vinyasa training we will no doubt examine our anatomy from head to toe. That being said, we will also explore the anatomy of our breath as well as the anatomy of our Prana. Throughout a Vinyasa experience, these three anatomies triangulate naturally. To understand how to develop our awareness of them and how to co-participate in them is at the very heart of this yoga Vinyasa training.
The very heart of our intelligent Vinyasa training, asana, will be thoroughly practiced, examined and explored. How many poses are there? Countless! How much will be performed? All of them!

Yoga practice is an evolutionary experience. Whether one can chart its history clearly and how far back will it remain relevant are the very questions our studies will explore. So many traditions with so many more claims!
A daily meditation practice is deeply important and equal to all aspects of our yoga practice. During this training our meditation practices will include active, breath, silent, mantra and visual. We will explore the varieties every day. The trainee will be supported to discover the form that is most meaningful to their practice.
Literally means to extend the Prana. It translates as “life-force” and working skillfully with Pranayama means to expand our life’s vital energy. They will hold a daily practice of varied pranayama.
To hold the practice is to understand its language. To speak clearly from a basic knowledge will draw your voice and presence more skillfully into the room. Ground your education in the art of Sanskrit and enjoy the potency of yoga both physically as well as vibrational.
To open the space, to understand how to open the body, to work in the postures in order to arrive at the summit of the sequence, to safely and successfully come down from said summit, to close the body and why. To offer a theme in practice, to deepen the intimacies of yoga.
This is an optional section of the course that will be offered to those who are interested in participating. There will be evening lectures and participation for this course. It will add depth and understanding to the body and anatomy that is both hands on and deeply integrative. Through touching and movement, you will better understand how a body moves and how to touch during hands-on assists. Traditional Thai massage is an ancient healing system that combines broad and targeted acupressure, stimulation and manipulation of energy lines called sen, and assisted yoga postures. Treatment effects are enhanced when the patient is fully relaxed and breathing deeply. This traditional healing practice, called nuad or nuad boran in the Thai language, stands in sharp contrast to western massage therapies.
Traditional Thai massage rarely uses oils or lotions and the recipient remains clothed during a treatment. There is constant body contact between the practitioner and the client, but rather than rubbing on muscles, the body is compressed, pulled, stretched and rocked in order to clear energy blockages and relieve tension. The practitioner uses thumbs, palms, forearms, elbows, knees and feet to create a dance of movement on the body of the recipient. In this process, joints are opened, muscles and tendons are stretched, internal organs are toned, and energy is balanced. The overall effect is one of deep relaxation, rejuvenation, and physical and mental well being.

Jonni-Lyn Friel has been teaching yoga since 2006 and is an experienced registered yoga teacher, registered prenatal yoga teacher, and Jivamukti teacher based in Greece. In 2016, she founded Namaha Yoga School, a collective of teachers from around the world from different traditions who share the common belief that teaching Yoga is a path of Seva, or service. In 2013, she completed the 300-hour Jivamukti yoga teacher training in Costa Rica and found again new teachers in Sharon Gannon and David Life. Finally, she completed a prenatal yoga 85-hour training course in London.
Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500 (Anusara Yoga)
Todd Tesen has been a student of yoga and meditation for his entire adult life. In 2001, Todd stumbled upon the fledgling school of Anusara Yoga and immediately commenced studying the school’s system and instruction. Currently based back in the United States, Todd is a Licensed E-RYT 500 Certified Yoga Instructor, who continues to practice daily and teach throughout the U.S., Mexico, and South America as well as internationally crisscrossing Europe including France, the U.K., Ireland, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Greece, Turkey, and Bali. Additionally, he also teaches online.
Yoga & Budo Center (Hatha Yoga)
George Androulakis was born in Crete. He graduated from the State School of Dance in Athens in 2009. He is a certified yoga teacher (Yoga & Budo Center by A. Proveleggios and Swaha Aerial Yoga in Athens). He attended the Certified Advanced Practitioner and Teacher Program (CAPT) at the ITM school in Thailand. Since 2014 he has been studyingTraditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture. George has been teaching Hatha, Aerial and Acro Yoga. Also, he has been providing Thai massage treatments since 2011. Since 2015 he runs the well known Spiti Yoga studio in the center of Athens.
