The MoaAlm Mountain Retreat has comfortable single, double, twin or triple rooms with en-suite bathroom. The rooms are stylishly decorated and spacious, sizes vary up to 24 square meters. All rooms have an en-suite private bathroom and stunning views. Some have balconies but not all. All rooms can be made up with one double or two single beds. After an active day in the outdoors you can enjoy the astonishing view at the sunny terrace or relax in the living room with shared dining table to enjoy a drink at the bar, curl up on the sofa with a magazine or book, or enjoy a meal at the shared dining table.

Yoga studio

The in-house yoga studio has a panoramic mountain view and is the perfect place for an active start of the day with Vinyasa flow yoga or a relaxing session of restorative yoga in the afternoon. In the morning the sunrise fills the room with energy and the late afternoon turns the mountains pink.

Mindfulness and nature

Mindfulness is a non-judgmental way of paying attention to the unfolding of the experience in the present moment. It is noticing and appreciating life within you and around you. Because mindfulness is about paying attention to life there is no better place to discover it than surrounded by life at its purest, in one of Europe’s largest and wildest nature reserves Hohe Tauern National Park.

During this one week course, you will learn mindfulness through theory and practice, why practicing mindfulness of the natural world is important for happiness and well-being, how spending time in nature and watching wildlife can make you more mindful, why being mindful of nature is essential for creating of a more sustainable world, and most importantly, you will learn that practicing mindfulness in nature is relaxing, peaceful, and really fun.

This retreat will be held at the MoaAlm Mountain Retreat in Kals am Grossglockner, Austria. The MoaAlm Mountain Retreat has a secluded location at 1800 meters above sea level; just three kilometers above the farming community of Kals am Grossglockner in the middle of Hohe Tauern National Park. From the house you can spot a lot of wildlife and enjoy the panoramic views.

During this retreat, you will be served seven breakfasts, five lunches, six dinners and afternoon tea with freshly baked cake on 6 days. At MoaAlm food is very important. Whenever possible MoaAlm Mountain Retreat sources the produce locally and organic. At breakfast you may enjoy a variety of muesli's, fresh fruit, fresh bread, cheeses and meats, sweet spreads such as jams and peanut butter, eggs, and organic coffee. The lunch will be colorful homemade soup or salad. And during six days MoaAlm Mountain Retreat will serve a three-course dinner.

In summer MoaAlm Mountain Retreat offers various things to do on the day-off in the middle of the week such as hike and mountain bike tours to small romantic mountain huts, a day trip to the beautiful city of Lienz, or a peaceful picknick at the riverbeds. If you like, MoaAlm Mountain Retreat can also arrange additional activities with local partners, for example rafting, cannoning, paragliding, and rock climbing. As always, all levels of experience are catered for.

You may also take a bus to Lienz or Kals.

Arrival by shuttle

The easiest option is an airport shuttle bus. These busses operate from Salzburg, Innsbruck, and Klagenfurt airports. The tourist office provides a shuttle, the cost varies depending on demand.

Arrival by train

You may take a train to Lienz or Kals.
