Villa Can Coves was an old farm that used to be the olive oil mill to serve the people of San Miguel and the surrounding area. In fact, it is about 300 years old.

It is a traditional Ibizan villa, with a living area of 300 m2 on a plot of 7,000 m2, arranged in gardens and fully fenced. It has been recently renovated to make your stay more comfortable and more enjoyable during the retreat.


Prepare for birthing and this new chapter in your life with a Hypnobirthing course combined with Yoga for Pregnancy on the magical island of Ibiza.

Following the success of our first hypnobirthing retreat in Austria, we are taking our programme to Ibiza where the location we have chosen is perfect for recharging, well-being & learning. Ibiza in February is not so hot, the temperature range is 15°C - 8°C but it has an average of 90% sunshine, so its great for soaking up some Vitamin D ;).

No matter if you are already pregnant or just starting the journey to get ready to become a mother & parents, this retreat will make sure you are ready, whenever the right time comes.

We combine a mixture of practical exercises and theory will get you ready for birth, parenthood and feeling connected as a family. The globeseekers team facilitates a safe and secure environment, allowing you to develop your unique birthing instinct.

Your facilitators bring in years of in depths experience. Sheila is a midwife for over 15 years, specializing in antenatal education and the promotion of normal birth and has lead a birthing center in the UK for the last 5 years.

Denise is a certified Yoga Teacher in various styles including Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga, Mama & Baby Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga & Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, as well as a certified Qi Gong facilitator, a qualified Health Coach and Mindfulness & Embodiment Trainer. She is also a certified hiking guide and will be guiding you during walks and meditations in the beautiful nature and forests around.

Together we will lead you through a combination of Prenatal Yoga, Hypnobirthing, Mindfulness, Breathwork, Qi Gong, Health Coaching and Massage & Reflexology.

We will guide you to feel strong, safe and empowered as an individual and as a couple by practicing mindfulness, relational Yoga & self-development exercises.

You will see the beauty and feel the pleasure of simplicity through nature and relaxing outdoor activities, helping you turn emotional heaviness into ease and playfulness.

The attendance of the birth partner is advisable but not crucial to fully benefit from this birth preparation journey.

Hypnobirthing is as much of a philosophy as it is a technique. It is a rewarding, relaxing, stress-free method of birthing, that is based on the belief that all babies should come into the world in an atmosphere of gentility, calm and joy.

The program includes different visualization and relaxation exercises, as well as knowledge on the following aspects:

  • The mind of the pregnant woman
  • Theory and practice of self hypnosis during birth
  • Understanding pregnancy and birthing hormones
  • Anatomy and physiology of pregnancy
  • Emotional stages during pregnancy
  • Fears including fear to birth and trauma resolution
  • The baby-partner-woman union
  • The role of the birth partner
  • Active birth: positions in birth
  • Understanding of the maternity system: role of the maternity team, process of development of guidelines and understanding medical advice. This will increase a sense of reassurance, safety and security in the birthing process.
  • Orgasmic birth: relaxing to increase the wellbeing sensation during birthing

Villa Can Coves is on the edge of the village of Sant Miquel de Balansat in the northeast of the Spanish island of Ibiza. The village is 10.9 miles (17.5 km) north of Ibiza Town and 15.1 miles (24.3 km) from Ibiza Airport. 5.0 kilometres (3.1 mi) to the north of the village is the coastal resort of Port de Sant Miquel.

The village still retains a few of the older houses which sit among much newer shops and apartments. On the north edge of the village is the hill top parish church.


Local, organic and super delicious food will be provided to nourish the pregnant mother. Our local chef will source fresh, healthy and organic ingredients from the surrounding area (where possible). The menu will be based on Denise's health coach knowledge plus nutritional advice from midwife Sheila.
