    The story begins in 1855 when the stone part of the Inn was erected beside the credit river at the top of the hill. When the railway was built, the large brick building was added around 1875. Come and see this historic landmark and the beautiful surrounding area.

    Forks of the Credit Inn is located in the quaint hamlet of Cataract, Caledon. The building was a general store through the early 1900’s, a speakeasy during prohibition and a restaurant in the 80’s and 90’s (Cataract Inn).

    Recently renovated and revitalized, the building has come full circle and is once again a boutique Inn and new yoga retreat in the beautiful Caledon Hills. It can accommodate up to 10 people in beautifully furnished rooms.

    For your comfort, each room is equipped with a private bathroom, air conditioned, TV, closet, toiletries, and free Wi-Fi. The inn has room cleaning service, so you don't have to worry about anything but enjoying your stay.


    Dark and sexy, it has a glass shower that overlooks the room, with privacy curtain, of course. Fold out the bed in the sitting room, this creates a second bedroom. Enjoy original pine plank floors and big arched windows.


    Bright and spacious, with an original stone wall, and pine plank floors. The room has windows on both sides, this provides a cross breeze and views of the front and back yards. You can hang out in the big globe chair and enjoy the king sized bed at the end of the day.


    Main floor private room with a new claw foot, bathtub and shower. The room is in the original stone part of the building, built in 1855. Enjoy your queen sized bed at the end of the day.


    Large classic room with a desk and separate sitting area. Relax in the large bath tub and appreciate the views of the garden area. Book this room as separate twin extra large beds, or as one king sized bed plus a pull out love seat.

    Hike at Forks of the Credit Park

    During this retreat, you will have the experience of hiking in Forks of the Credit Park, which is considered one of the most beautiful natural parks in Ontario. Forks of the Credit is located in the famous Bruce trail.

    This place is very popular and you can do several activities there but it’s only open in daytime. In winter season, you can practice cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

    If you are a true hiker, you will be excited because there are several trails in the Park, such as the previously mentioned Bruce trail, Dominion trail, Kettle trail, Meadow trail, Ruins trail, and Trans Canada trail. Please keep in mind that horseback riding is allowed on the Trans Canada trail only.

    If you have a passion for fishing, it is permitted here, just check the Ontario fishing regulations before, in order to find information about seasons and restrictions. Another thing that you can do is having a delicious picnic with tons of fun included.

      Karey is a life coach and Vinyasa Flow yoga instructor whose magnetic and bubbly energy empowers and ignites the soul. She is co-owner of Branch Yoga and Forks of the Credit Inn.

    • Amanda Franko

      Amanda Franko is a chef and a belly dance instructor. She inspires others towards a wholesome lifestyle, by nurturing the body and soul with nutrient-rich whole foods, movement, and everyday mindfulness. She likes to provide her students with a sacred space of co-creation, innovation, and information.

    During this retreat, you will be served three daily healthy gourmet meals. The drinks and snacks are included too. Forks of the Credit Inn is famous because of its amazing breakfasts.

    In every dish, they use high quality ingredients; where possible, gluten free, organic, and locally sourced in season, such as Ontario free range eggs.

    The vegetable frittata and the eggs avocado are their specialties. Besides, you can let them know in advance if you have special dietary requirements, in order to make the proper arrangements.
