Our retreats are designed in a very personal and loving way. We believe in a vibe of acceptance, respect, and kindness. In every yoga class, horse session, meditation, and other activity, we try to embody this. You will reconnect to yourself while being surrounded by nature and animals, eat fresh foods, and find happiness in the present moment. The curious, wise, gentle, and instinctive nature of horses make them excellent mentors in personal growth and development. This combined with yoga is a powerful duo for going deep within, letting go of fear, and finding deep self love.
Mira is a free-spirited and life loving yoga teacher and horse coach. Leaving her home country Germany at a young age, she has been traveling and living in different parts of the world, embracing new challenges, and learning about new cultures. Finally three years ago, she fell in love with the colorful and adventurous life in Ecuador. Through yoga and her natural work with the horses, she has found a way to bring more happiness and inner peace to people from all over the world.
The Hosteria PapaGayo is located in the middle of the Avenue of the Volcanoes. We are surrounded by mountains and beautiful nature. There are trails to walk and lots of animals which are part of our farm. We have llamas, a cow, bunnies and guinea pigs, goats, geese, chickens, and of course, our lovely dogs. At night, you can enjoy our jacuzzi and cozy sauna.
Every day you will be eating fresh, nutritions foods which will give you lots of energy for the day.
For breakfast you will enjoy fresh, local fruits combined with either granola with, yoghurt, milk, or plant milk, as well as healthy pancakes, eggs with rice and beans, toast with eggs and cheese, and your choice of tea, coffee and fresh orange juice.
Some lunch and dinner examples would be fresh salad with oven potatoes and vegetables; tacos with a tofu scramble, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, and cheese; Pad Thai with tofu; vegetarian wok; and rice and beans with guacamole, a fresh salad, and fried plantains.
Every afternoon you will receive a detox juice, such as a green juice with celery, apple, cucumber, mint and ginger or a red juice with beetroot, apple, carrot, and lime.
