The Brecon Beacons retreat is hosted in a stunning five-star accommodation in the stunning rural tranquility. Originally a Welsh longhouse, Tall John’s House has been shaped by British naval history. This family-owned Georgian manor and cottages are set in a secluded valley deep in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. All of the spacious rooms are beautifully decorated and are provided with plenty of large, fluffy towels, soaps, shampoos, and hair-dryer.
On this retreat, there is a setting intention workshop and a guided hike with experienced mountain guides. Energize and invigorate on these days in the beautiful surrounding countryside. This retreat is wonderful in winter; think silent walks to the sunrise, energizing and restorative yoga classes, wholesome and nourishing healthy food, holistic treatments, and roaring open log fires to curl up with a good book at the end of it all. The retreat is perfect for those who want to get away from the usual New Year's celebrations, starting 2018 feeling healthy, alive, and with positive intentions for the year ahead.
You will have morning two-hour yoga practice which will energize and awaken sleepy bodies and a variety of types of meditation practice to calm the mind. Also, there will be evening two-hour class yoga to unwind and calm with restorative practices, meditation, and yoga Nidra. You will also enjoy daily guided silent morning walk to the sunrise to wake up peacefully and slowly.
The classes are suitable for all abilities, from beginners to intermediate and advanced levels. Everyone is welcome. AdventureYogi has a range of inspiring and experienced teachers who are well practiced at adapting the class for everyone’s level. Whether it be Vinyasa Flow, Hatha, Ashtanga, Sivananda, Yin, or others, all classes cover pranayama, asanas, and meditation to help increase oxygen flow, balance, clarity, and to promote a peaceful mind. Morning sessions are a more dynamic practice and the evening sessions are gentle with lots of stretches, meditation, and relaxation.

If you love to be in the Welsh countryside, surrounded by rolling hills, rivers, streams, nature, peace, and quietness, this is the right place for you. With the closest town being Brecon, you are in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park, about three and a half hours from London or one and a half hours from Bristol.
You will be served delicious breakfasts, lunches, and dinners from one of the expert in-house chefs. Early morning hot water and lemon or herbal teas with nut snacks to boost energy levels pre-yoga will also be included. AdventureYogi brings their own chefs who all have their own individual flair and genius to produce high-quality vegetarian dishes. This retreat offers fresh, local, seasonal, and nutritious meals.
Nutritious and delicious vegetarian food is an integral part of this yoga retreats with an emphasis on warming and nourishing menus. The food is gently detoxing, all vegetarian, made without sugar or dairy products, and low in wheat and gluten. There are herbal teas and caffeinated teas / coffee for you to choose and there’s bread and cow’s milk in the morning if you prefer it. There are also soy and almond milk to enjoy.
There are pre-yoga snacks to support blood sugar levels. The chef always makes a special porridge for breakfast and there are granola, fruit, yogurt, and eggs to enjoy. In the afternoon, a wholesome healthy lunch is served and then, after evening yoga, there’s a wonderful two-course dinner for you.
The nearest train station is Abergavenny and then it is a 30-minute taxi ride which costs around 40 GBP.
