Nepal is a country with lots of Temples, Sacred rivers and mountains that collectively makes it a place perfect for enlightenment. For people who are interested in visiting Nepal this package takes them beyond trekking and sightseeing. It will be a sacred trip exploring yoga as well as adventure. Yoga offers whatever you are looking for such as weight loss, flexible body, beautiful glowing skin, peaceful mind and strong health. Yoga makes you truly healthy by making you not only physically fit but also mentally and emotionally balanced. A few minutes yoga a day would lessen your stress. If you have been feeling completely drained out at the end of the day then Yoga helps you to increase your energy level as well. Regular yoga practice is perfect for toning your muscles while trekking.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival day and evening yoga (1,300 meters or 4,264 feet)
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) in Kathmandu, you will be taken to the hotel. Later that day, you will be introduced to your yoga instructor and guide. You will have your first yoga session later that evening, if you prefer.
If your flight arrives in time, you will be taken to one of the most popular local restaurants with delicious Nepalese food, cultural music, and ethnic dance. This will give you a glimpse into the different ethnic groups of the country. If you arrive late in the evening, you can do this on the next day.
Day 2: Morning yoga, Kathmandu Valley sightseeing, trek preparation, and evening yoga
Your second day in Kathmandu will start with a relaxing yoga class at your hotel. After breakfast, you will start your Kathmandu Valley tour.
On this tour, you will visit the main attractions of the valley, such as Boudhnath Stupa, Pashupatinath temple, Swyambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), and Kathmandu Durbar Square (the old palace).
After finishing the city tour, you will check your clothing and trekking equipment (sleeping bag, down jacket, and trekking boots). You will have your evening yoga session at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 3: Morning yoga, drive to Sundarijal, hike to Chisopani, and evening yoga (2,165 meters or 7,103 feet)
After the morning yoga, you will have a short drive towards the northeast of the city to reach Sundarlijal, the starting point of your hike. The word Sundarijal literally means beautiful water in Nepali.
The stone steeps trail leads you to the entrance gate of Shivapuri National Park. You will have short registration formalities there, and then continue your walk towards the dam of Sundarijal, which is the main water supply of Kathmandu Valley.
The trail leads to Mulkharka through stone steps, there you will see the beautiful mud houses, farm terraces, along with the beautiful view of the Kathmandu Valley. After that, the trail leads you to the top of the ridge at Deurali through Rhododendron Forest.
You can enjoy the beautiful scenery from the ridge, including the view of Mount Annapurna, Manaslu, langtang, Dorje lakpa, and many more. Then, the trail drops down to Chisopani. After a short rest at the lodge, you can enjoy a walk around the village to view its landscape and the life of the people.
You will have your evening yoga session at your lodge, or in a meadow under the hill (whenever you prefer). You will stay that night at the lodge in Chisopani.
Day 4: Morning yoga, hike to Nagarkot, and evening yoga (1,932 meters or 5,338 feet)
You will have your morning yoga with a sunrise view and breakfast at the lodge. It's an easy day with interesting landscapes. You will walk through an unpaved road towards Jhule village. Jhule village is a culturally rich village with many ethnic groups of people living together.
On the way, you will have great views of Himalaya and forest, including Kathmandu Valley view from the ridge. At the end of the day, you will have a short climb to Nagarkot, which is situated on the top of the hill, having a great Himalayan range of 360 degree angle.
You will have your evening yoga there, on the top of the hill, or inside a hotel room, wherever you prefer. You will spend that evening strolling around the town, then you will spend the night in a hotel.
Day 5: Morning yoga, hike to Changu Narayan, drive to Kathmandu, and evening yoga (1,300 meters or 4,264 feet)
You will get a wake up call to let you know it’s time for magnificent sunrise views of the snow peaked mountains, from east to west, before morning yoga. You will have lovely views of Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, langtang Himal, Gaurishankar, Dorje lakpa, Mount Everest, and many more. After morning yoga and breakfast, your trail leads you downhill through the ridge towards Changu Narayan.
While you walk through the villages, you can explore villagers life from very close. Finally, you will reach at Changu Narayan temple, which is the oldest temple of Kathmandu Valley, built in 5th century AD. After exploring the temple, you will go to Bhaktapur (city of devotees), to explore around and continue your drive to Kathmandu.
You will have your evening yoga session at the hotel in Kathmandu, where you will spend that night.
Day 6: Departure day with morning yoga
This day is the last day of your trip. If you would like to extend your holiday, you will be assisted. Otherwise, you will be taken to the airport according to your flight departure time. That morning, you will have your last yoga session at your hotel.
If your flight leaves on the evening, you can do last minute shopping, or manage your trip photos.
