This retreat is a striking opportunity to feel the tranquility of Nepal and its diversity of flora and fauna combined with impressive sceneries. Waking up to nature, you will start your day with rejuvenating yoga session in the morning, accompanied with experienced instructors. Yoga at the lap of the Himalayas, along with the panoramas of the white peaks, will surely give off tranquil emotions and good vibes!
You will stay in a twin shared room at a hotel in Kathmandu and Pokhara, as well as at a teahouse in Tikhedhunga, Ghorepani, Tadapani, Chhomrong, Dovan, Deurali, Annapurna base camp, Bamboo, and Jhinu Danda.
Jhinu Danda is the best place for accommodation as it has got a natural hot spring. It is said that taking a natural hot bath, you will get free from various kind of skin diseases.
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM), you will be welcomed by a representative from Adventure Club Trek. After sorting out your custom formalities (visa and so on), you will be then transferred to your respective hotel in Adventure Club Trek’s private vehicle and give you some time to freshen up. After this, you will attend an orientation about your trek led by the trekking leader over a welcome dinner.
The exciting day begins with a cultural tour to various mediaeval sites in Kathmandu. You will drive to visit the UNESCO listed world heritage sites - Pashupatinath Temple (the biggest Hindu shrine), Boudhanath (largest Buddhist Stupa in Nepal), Swayambhunath (a fine Buddhist stupa at the hill top of Kathmandu) and the Kathmandu Durbar Square (an open museum and abode of Kumari). Coming back from the sightseeing, you will take part in a short briefing and trip preparation. Evening time is for yoga.
You will take a drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara and visit Yoga Retreat Center. The road is winding and the lush vegetation will attract you along with the Himalayan views. It takes approximately 6 hours to reach there. It is a city of lakes and natural wonders. You can enjoy the boating on Phewa Lake on the same day. You will visit the yoga retreat center in the evening and get information about the yoga skill and various forms of yoga - you will practice there.
You will do yoga in the morning. It is really recreating and constructive. Then, you will have a breakfast. After the breakfast, you will drive to Nayapul for one and half hour, check in at ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Project) and begin the trek. Through the bank of the Bhurung Khola, you will move ahead and see the ethnic communities throughout the terraced hill side. Passing Hile, you will reach Tikhedhunga.
You will do yoga in the morning, feel tranquil and have breakfast. In the beginning of the trek, you will descend to the Bhurungdi Khola and cross the suspension bridge. Then, the trail will go up and up through the thousands of steep stone steps to Ulleri. If it’s quite early for the lunch, you will stop at Banthanti. The trail will go through the lush rhododendron and pine forest from here. During spring, the whole forest turns to be colorful, which is more astounding. Gradually, you will reach to Ghorepani, which is located at the bottom of Poon Hill, middle of the forest.
Ghorepani is located at the bottom line of Poon Hill. You will need to walk about 40 minutes to reach at the top. You can view the astounding panoramas of Annapurna South, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri, Himchuli, Fishtail and many more. Then, you will have a yoga session. Yoga at the lap of the Himalayas is motivating and gives positive energy. Descending to Ghorepani after having breakfast, you will walk further through the rhododendron forest to Tadapani via Deurali.
After getting up in the morning, you will do yoga afterwards. You will then head towards the northern part, with a steep descend to the river. Crossing a bridge, you will walk along the bank of the river and then climb up through the steep trail that gradually leads you to the striking village of Chhomrong. You will get the panoramas of Mountain Annapurna and Fishtail peak from the trail.
The first task you will do is yoga in the morning to get positive energy and have a delicious breakfast. You will begin your trek crossing the Modi Khola. Then, you will continue your excursion through the forest, cross the bridge and climb up to Sinuwa. If you are confident of walking, you will reach Sinuwa from Tadapani on the same day. The trail is dotted by the rhododendron forest. You will then reach to Khuldighar and trek down to Dovan,
As usual, you will get up and do yoga in the morning. Then, you will have breakfast and commence through the rhododendron forest above the river. Crossing another stream, you will walk further uphill through the isolated part - the picturesque sceneries are breathtaking. Gradually, you will climb up to the alpine region, where you may encounter with some wild animals. You will explore the Hinku cave, which is located on the way you are reaching to Deurali.
After the yoga session in the morning, you will begin to do a short ascend towards the next ridge. It’s a little tough to walk but you will head further with a gradual pace. Walking ahead, you will reach to the Machhapuchhre base camp. It is a short walk to the Annapurna base camp. The superb mountain vistas of Annapurna south, Annapurna I, Machhapuchhere, Himchuli and other surrounding peaks can be seen spectacular. Gradually, you will reach to the Annapurna base camp, which is in the shape of a bowl, where the surrounding edges are airborne peaks. The sunset over such beautiful snow covered peaks are just fabulous.
You will do yoga in the morning which is surrounded by the giant peaks. Along with this, you can get the magnificent sunrise view over the mountains. You will walk a bit around and explore the views of Annapurna South, Himchuli and Fishtail. After the breakfast, you will descend to Bamboo from the trail you climbed up to ABC, and reach Bamboo for rest.
After yoga in the morning, you will continue on trekking down to Jhinu Danda. The scenery while walking is wonderful.
After yoga session in the morning and breakfast, you will trek down making the Modi Khola River on your left. You can enjoy the views of waterfalls and superb green hill forest. You will reach Nayapul, check out from ACAP counter and drive further to Pokhara. You will visit around the lakeside city in the evening and go for delicious meals.
With a motivational yoga in the morning, you will drive back to Kathmandu for about 6 hours and you will transfer to the hotel. Getting refreshed, you will be invited for the farewell dinner in a typical Nepali restaurant.
Adventure Club Trek will manage a farewell drive to the international airport for your final flight departure.
Prior to all the treks and expeditions, Adventure Club Trek hosts a pre-trip meeting in Kathmandu. The primary purpose of meeting is to provide an opportunity for individuals to ask questions about the forthcoming trek and to introduce other team members. The meeting covers topics as diverse as personal equipment and acclimatization and usually involves a hike and some skills training. Pre-trip meeting is very important in order to have a better preparation of the trekking.
Adventure Club Trek requires a minimum of two people to run the trek.
This retreat will take place at Pokhara, Tikhedhunga, Ghorepani, Poon Hill, Tadapani, Chhomrong, Dovan, Deurali, Annapurna base camp, Bamboo, and Jhinu Danda in Nepal.
Nepal is a landlocked country, located between the giant countries: India and Tibet. It is a tiny country with stunning airborne peaks in its eastern and northern border. It is a paradise for travel leisure.The geographical structure is diverse that has been divided into three parts: the Himalayan region, the hilly region and the terai region.
Most of the meals are provided during this trip. Please refer to the daily itinerary for the list of meals provided by Adventure Club Trek. Coffee or tea will be served at each meal. Lunch and evening meals in Kathmandu and Pokhara are not included.
Please arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM). Adventure Club Trek will pick you up from the airport. The pick-up is included in the price.
