Are you ready to immerse yourself in the daily practice (Sadhana) of yoga in a mountain retreat setting where you can sink into Ayurveda? If so, then this meditation and Ayurveda weekend retreat are for you! You will be in the mountains of Western North Carolina in an Ayurveda retreat center where nature abounds and sunrise yoga is the start of each day.

You will stay at an Ayurveda yoga retreat center with retreat style accommodations or hotel rooms over the spa.

Throughout the retreat, you will experience the transformational power of daily yoga, the rejuvenating and nourishing power Ayurveda, with plenty of time for reflection and connection to the beauty of the Western North Carolina mountains.

Sample daily schedule

Day 1

  • 15:00 Check-in
  • 15:00 Free time to wander, relax, and unpack
  • 16:30 Optional yoga session with Sonya. This session will be geared to working out kinks from travel and getting you grounded and ready for the weekend
  • 17:30 Early dinner including Ayurveda-inspired food selections
  • 19:00 Orientation: evening meditation discussion and determining your Prakriti and Vikriti with Sonya

Day 2

  • 07:00 Sunrise yoga incorporating Ayurveda seasonal principles, releasing the heat of summer and transitioning into autumn, and meditation with Sonya and Ryan as a co-teacher
  • 08:30 Breakfast
  • 09:30 Have a break, have free time to schedule treatments, wander through the labyrinth, hike through the woods, visit the pottery for some play time, journal, and relax
  • 12:00 Lunch
  • 13:30 Have a break, spend free time to schedule treatments, wander through the labyrinth, hike through the woods, visit the pottery for some play time, journal, and relax
  • 16:00 Yoga, integrative yoga incorporating modifications and self-care techniques for your Prakriti with Sonya
  • 17:00 Have a break, spend some free time to relax and get ready for dinner
  • 18:00 Dinner
  • 19:30 Evening meditation with Ryan
  • 20:30 Bonfire

Day 3

  • 07:00 Sunrise yoga and ending meditation for travel with Sonya and Ryan
  • 08:30 Breakfast
  • 09:30 Pack, get cleaned up, and ready to roll out
  • 10:45 Meet up in the lobby to say goodbye
  • 11:00 Checkout and head home

  • Sonya Klepper

    Yoga Alliance E-RYT 200 (Ashtanga Yoga)

    Sonya is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) with Yoga Alliance rooted in the Ashtanga and White Tantric (Raja) yoga systems. Her yoga sessions are intelligently sequenced to open the body, building deep core strength and flexibility. She is an Ayurveda Wellness Counselor (AWS) specializing in women's health and rejuvenation practices. Her strong belief is that yoga is an important part of healing the patterns of stress and tension held in the body and Ayurveda is the answer to achieving optimal health and longevity.

  • Ryan Kurczak

    Ryan Kurczak is an ordained Kriya Yoga meditation teacher and professional Vedic Astrologer. He is the author of Kriya Yoga: Continuing the Lineage of Enlightenment, Kriya Yoga Vichara, and A Course in Tranquility. Ryan is a co-author of the well-received Art and Science of Vedic Astrology book series. Based in Western North Carolina he has been teaching Kriya Yoga meditation globally since 2005.

This retreat will take place in Boone, North Carolina, USA.

Daily Ayurveda-inspired vegetarian meals are included in the price.

On your free time, you may visit the spa for treatments or head to one of the many walking trails for a relaxing stroll. There is also a grass labyrinth and you'll have enough time to explore and wander as well as time to restore and rejuvenate.

Ayurveda spa treatments such as massage, facials, and body work are available for an extra fee. You can book your treatments upon arrival.
