You can learn Ayurvedic studies from highly trained faculty of doctors, practitioners, yoga teachers and community leaders that come together to bring great depth of wisdom and practical clinical experience.
You will be provided with shared accommodation in apartment style living.
You can arrive a few days earlier to adapt to the time change. The cost for early arrival is extra and you will be recommended to either hotel or take your directly to the accommodation for the program on the campus.
This program is a special fully integrated Ayurvedic immersion offered at an authentic Indian University (D.Y. Patil College of Ayurved & Research Centre). It is a unique opportunity for students to integrate themselves in Ayurvedic studies as taught in the mother land of India.
This 10-day program provides an overview of Ayurvedic principles and focuses on the core elements of Ayurvedic wellness, its practice, lifestyle and treatment care. You will receive certification for 100 hours towards becoming an Ayurvedic Health Counselor. Each day focuses on a different topic ranging from various subjects listed below to provide for a broad understanding and overview of how Ayurveda is practiced as a complete medical system.
Mas Vidal is a yogi, mystic, practitioner of Ayurveda, and founder and director of Dancing Shiva Yoga Ayurveda. His teachings are based on the lineage of Paramahansa Yogananda, founder of Self Realization Fellowship.
This retreat will take place at D.Y. Patil College of Ayurved & Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune, India. The city of Pimpri is a smaller suburb of the larger Pune and is the Ayurvedic educational capital of India with many schools, clinics, restaurants, stores and communities thriving in the Ayurveda and yoga tradition. It will be a combined clinical and cultural learning experience that cannot be replicated anywhere else except in Mother India.
Meals are to be paid separately as there are various vegetarian meal options at very reasonable prices. Expected cost will vary depending on how much you eat. However, one can expect to eat very well for about 15 - 20 USD per day.
You can spend a few days in Mumbai in a hotel and do sightseeing before the program begins. Dancing Shiva recommends you to attend Bhakti Yoga pilgrimage program and enjoy the good community and the bliss energy of India’s sacred yoga tradition.
Transportation is provided from and to Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (BOM). You are recommended to arrive in Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (BOM) on March 10 or 11, 2017 and return on early morning of March 22 (night) or 23 (morning).
