All bedrooms can be either single or double occupancy. All are en-suite and air-conditioned with mosquito nets, coco-mat mattresses, wood paneled ceilings, and views across the Ionian sea towards Kefalonia. Each bedroom has a unique identity, so sign up early to secure your favorite room.

The Mongolian yurts are light and airy inside. They contain comfortable beds with mosquito nets, coco-mat mattresses, plenty of shelving, and either have their private ensuite bath or share an outdoor bathroom carved into the rocks, with a sea grass roof. Pathways and steps provide access to the yurt platforms, each with outdoor seating, positioned high among rocks and trees with beautiful sea views.

Music is magic. It beautifully enhances the emotions and brings balance and harmony to the body, it also helps you to surrender and soften into the flow of life. The Hang is a very magical instrument, it is handmade in Switzerland and often used for sound healing.

In this magical retreat, you will enhance your practice with the melodies of the Hang to give you a deeper experience of your heart and soul. Mornings will be a more dynamic Vinyasa and sunset sessions slow flow or Yin yoga with Hang music. It’s the perfect combination for a joyful, inspirational week!

You will deepen your practice this week as you learn to surrender more into your breathing. You will create more space in your body, leaving you feeling more spacious in your mind. You will explore new ways of nourishment on and off the mat. You will deeply relax, reconnect to yourself, and recharge your batteries as you soak up the sun and practices.

Ithaca, home of Itha108, is one of the smallest in the Ionian island constellation that is radiating with Grecian authenticity. Its shores play host to a long Homeric and mythical history whose many mysteries are sensed amongst animated panorama and secretive coves.

Itha108 overlooks the sea and the eastern coastline of neighboring Kefalonia from an elevated wilderness of olive trees and exposed rocks that provide the elements around which it is built, allowing its natural beauty to speak for itself. An emphasis on indoor-outdoor living ensures full use of the land and its treasures that extend to sweeping and hidden beaches below.

Local olive oil

The retreat overlooks the sea on to the rugged east side of Kefalonia, the peninsula of Fiskardo. Pollution-free, the views are stupendous and the air and climate are perfect for growing outstanding fruit. Organic olive oil has been produced on Ithaca as long as anyone can remember. The olives are cold-pressed by the local press to preserve all their healthy qualities and undergo only the one pressing. The acidity level is below 0.1%.

Chi nei tsang (abdominal massage)

Chi nei tsang is a very effective and unique form of bodywork which works directly on the abdomen, organs and their associated emotions. The abdomen houses not only the internal organs but is also the place where you store all of your unresolved emotional issues, so the importance of this area to your overall health and well-being cannot be overstated.

An accumulation of toxins, repressed feelings, knots and tangles, or a general tightness in this area can affect your health and eventually show up as digestive dysfunction, as aches and pains, lack of energy, backache, or manifest as feelings such as worry, stress, or anxiety. Chi Nei Tsang helps to unwind tensions, releases negative emotions, relaxes, detoxifies, and restores a balanced energy flow to the abdominal area.

Your session lasts 75 minutes and includes an initial consultation, and will be tailored to your personal needs.

Thai yoga massage

Thai massage is an ancient healing system that uses a combination of passive yoga stretches, stimulation, and manipulation along energy lines, compression, and acupressure. The treatment is carried out on a mat on the floor with the client fully dressed, and the body is compressed, pulled, stretched, and rocked in order to clear energy blockages and relieve tension. The practitioner uses not only hands, but also forearms, elbows, knees and feet to work the body of the recipient.

In this process, the elements and the flow of energy throughout the body are balanced, muscles are released and stretched, joints are opened, and internal organs are toned, inducing an overall feeling of deep relaxation, rejuvenation, physical, and mental well being.

Adriane’s, your therapist, Thai massage therapy sessions are always tailored to individual requirements with varying degrees of intensity to the massage. Sessions can include more dynamic elements such as rocking and shaking as well as more deep static compression on specific acupressure points. She also uses herbal compresses, liniments, and balms and incorporates cupping therapy. The full body session lasts 90 to 120 minutes while the half body session lasts 60 minutes.

"I have so many things to say, that I don’t know where to start. I have been practicing yoga for six months so I am still new to my practice. I am 19 years old and am a college student. It was my fist time traveling alone. I wanted to go on a yoga retreat that was safe and could take me away from my busy schedule for a while and I choose Montezuma for a private yoga retreat with Dagmar. I can honestly say that it was one of the best decision I have made in a long time."

"When I arrived in Montezuma Dagmar had arranged for a taxi to come and pick me up from the airport. I chose the customized private retreat that came with every day one-on-one yoga session with Dagmar, and beautiful accommodation. I stayed in a cozy loft that was about a half a mile away from the town. The area was serene. I woke up every morning to the sound of birds, cicadas, wind, and sometimes howler monkeys! Each morning I had delicious homemade breakfast that was made by her partner Daniel."

"The yoga sessions with Dagmar were amazing!! I got to choose when I wanted to start practice and the type of yoga I wanted to practiced. Dagmar is a wonderful yoga instructor and she has a beautiful soul! As a yoga instructor she was attentive, gentle, fun, versatile, and warm. She played beautiful music during practice and was aware of my needs. During this trip, I was able to relax and focus on myself. I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to rediscover themselves and genuinely want to have a nice time. "

"I recently had the pleasure of attending a yoga retreat led by Dagmar in Costa Rica. This was my first retreat and I was not sure what to expect. I had only recently started practicing yoga. I am immensely grateful that I was given this opportunity. Dagmar has a beautiful heart which shines through as she leads others. She is a gifted teacher and her instruction is much more than just a physical experience. Her ability to teach with an open heart makes the way for others to open their heart’s and experience deep levels of freedom. Her skill in challenging you physically yet supporting you emotionally creates a beautiful space of ease and growth. I discovered through Dagmar’s instruction the importance and beauty of embracing the fullness of the practice. I can not recommend her enough. If you are looking for a skilled teacher to support your overall wellbeing , look no further. Thank you Dagmar for who you are and all you poured into me during the time we had together in Costa Rica. Sending much love and gratitude."

"Pictures nor words could do this sanctuary justice. This place is perfect down to every detail. Built with bare hands, heart, and vision. Bed was super comfortable, outdoor shower with a view of yoga shala and gardens made the experience perfect. Breakfast was delicious, organic, and super reasonably priced. The private deck was super spacious. The tea pot and mini fridge in the studio. The star fruit smoothies were crazy good and made me feel awesome!! Super close to town but you still feel like you are really far away from everything. Never will you find a place with so much character or people who radiate so much peace and love. "

"Yoga retreats with Dagmar are extraordinary. She takes care of you better than anyone I've known. The yoga classes are well planned and fun, the friendship, and conversations are deep and personal and there is hardly any small talk. If you are looking for a real yoga retreat with real people, don't miss Dagmar's treats around the world. She picks the best spots, super organized and absolutely phenomenal yoga teacher. If you are lucky, you might have a chance to listen to Daniel's hang, and then you are in heaven. "

"Of the countless yoga classes I've taken over more than 15 years, Dagmar remains one of my all-time favorite teachers. She greets all her students with a smile and gracious warmth. You immediately feel welcomed into the studio wherever she may be teaching around the world. Her years of experience as a yoga teacher shows in her ease and confidence as she guides you into the yoga practice. If you are lucky enough to take a private lesson at her yoga shala in Costa Rica, you will never forget your experience."

"Dagmar is an incredible, very experienced Yoga teacher. She is even more as a yoga teacher. Her gentle way to teach yoga in a beautiful tropical location is heart opening, you can work out tone your body and at the same time surrender and just be ;-) I found it so relaxing and also energizing. She makes you feel good and you can tell, that she has a lot of experience. I have also attended a yoga class with her and Gaudan. He is playing the Hang and she is guiding you through a gentle yoga class. Wow... the combination is amazing. Meditative and very flowing. Loved it!"

"I had the great pleasure of attending a 7-day yoga retreat with Dagmar and Daniel in Tulum. What an amazing experience! Dagmars insightful instruction, graceful flow and beautiful energy were inspiring. And the addition of Daniels hang music during our sunset sessions was pure magic. "There are no words to describe how touching and meaningful this week was for me. Apart from the unique and inspiring yoga of Dagmar and touching music of Daniel, its the personal experience, learnings and changes that make such a week so meaningful. Dagmar and Daniel gave us a very powerful toolkit for getting in touch with ourselves, looking at our insides and feeling ourselves. I still chant the Gayatri Mantra a few times each week and meditate more frequently now. Also the ability to broaden my self-practice was a lasting output from that week. Together with Tara, which was first of all a female goddess for me and secondly the best vegetarian cook ever, the whole week was a journey to myself. Beside the spiritual aspects I enjoyed hanging out with an awesome crowd, going to the beaches, visiting hippie markets or just being lazy by the pool. Thanks Dagmar & Daniel for this unforgettable experience and for creating the space to make such a journey happening."

"Not sure exactly where to begin with this enormous statement of gratitude to Dagmar & Daniel for my week in Ibiza. I knew it was going to be lovely, but it exceeded all expectations. The best word to fit my week is nourishing deeply. From the warm welcome, to the colourful food, the gorgeous setting, and the beautiful people that came together to share the week, it was everything I needed. I was slightly nervous about multiple yoga sessions each day, but Dagmar made it easy to return to the mat. She is a wise and multi-dimensional teacher. It truly was bliss. Thank you for giving my sister and I such a beautiful place to be."

"Sometimes I have to get my own Roots and Wings in balance and being at the villa Can Dream, together with Dagmar and Daniel and the rest of the group was the most beautiful and joyful way to do that. The lovely, warm, strong, soft, clear and sweet yoga that Dagmar teaches from her heart, the hang music played by Daniel, music sounding as music from the Gods in universe, the magnificent surroundings, the nature, the healthy and delicious food cooked by Tara and the group of people from different places on earth who shared, respected and contributed to both laughs and a special calmness What a blessing! Im so grateful for all the inspiration, the open space and the energy injection this was. I would totally do it again, join Dagmar and Daniel at Ibiza, or in any other place to get this positive energy again. Thank you, from my heart!"

"What resonates in me from the both of you is a dedication to making this practice available, and approachable to all people. That anyone can find it in his or her heart. It's not about a headstand or some fancy jump back to chatturanga, but it's about it being a practical tool, if not way of life, that sheds light on how you interact with the world on a daily basis and gives people an opportunity to take a look at themselves, and how they always have a potential for growth and are always becoming the best version of themselves.I get this from you. Most importantly, I get this from myself and give thanks to those like the two of you who so willingly guide me there when I need a sounding board or someone to lay out a foundation for me to explore this conversation with myself and the world."

"This week has been such a nice experience: practicing with sun, birds, wind ,and the beautiful music of Daniel, waouh! Meeting such adorable and different people, and enjoying how much your body is not "so" rusty - even if you haven't practiced yoga since months. The Kriya yoga I normally practice is particularly based on breath and meditation, and not as physical as Vinyasa but I really really want to keep on practicing Vinyasa, Dagmar. Your super teaching has totally convinced me."
