Itha 108 sleeps 20 across varied accommodation including six luxury double bedrooms in the main house and three Mongolian yurts that are staggered up between rocks, forestry and winding walkways. The many social and quiet spaces allow guests to enjoy the landscape and relax.
All bedrooms can be either single or double occupancy. All are en-suite and air-conditioned with mosquito nets, coco-mat mattresses, wood paneled ceilings, and views across the Ionian sea towards Kefalonia. Each bedroom has a unique identity, so sign up early to secure your favorite room.
The Mongolian yurts are light and airy inside. They contain comfortable beds with mosquito nets, coco-mat mattresses, plenty of shelving, and either have their private ensuite bath or share an outdoor bathroom carved into the rocks, with a sea grass roof. Pathways and steps provide access to the yurt platforms, each with outdoor seating, positioned high among rocks and trees with beautiful sea views.

In this magical retreat, you will enhance your practice with the melodies of the Hang to give you a deeper experience of your heart and soul. Mornings will be a more dynamic Vinyasa and sunset sessions slow flow or Yin yoga with Hang music. It’s the perfect combination for a joyful, inspirational week!

Dagmar is a 5000-hour E-RYT with the Yoga Alliance and trained in Vinyasa Flow, Anusara, and Yin yoga with teachers like Elena Brower, John Friend, Rod Stryker, and Paula Tursi. In her classes, she loves to emphasize on synchronized movement and breath to deepen the experience of the practice. As a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York, Dagmar also compliments yoga with her work as a certified holistic health counselor and teaches lifestyle immersion programs, helping her students to maintain a healthy, vibrant, and balanced body.

Ithaca, home of Itha108, is one of the smallest in the Ionian island constellation that is radiating with Grecian authenticity. Its shores play host to a long Homeric and mythical history whose many mysteries are sensed amongst animated panorama and secretive coves.
Itha108 overlooks the sea and the eastern coastline of neighboring Kefalonia from an elevated wilderness of olive trees and exposed rocks that provide the elements around which it is built, allowing its natural beauty to speak for itself. An emphasis on indoor-outdoor living ensures full use of the land and its treasures that extend to sweeping and hidden beaches below.

Food at Itha108 is fresh, sumptuous, and made up of local produce. All vegetables are organic and sourced from the best of what Ithaca and neighboring Kefalonia has to offer. Plentiful, home-cooked menus blend traditional Greek cuisine with a contemporary style. For this retreat, mainly vegetarian food is promoted, although freshly caught fish is available on request. Please let Dagmar Spremberg know if you have any special dietary needs, so they can let the chef know.
The retreat overlooks the sea on to the rugged east side of Kefalonia, the peninsula of Fiskardo. Pollution-free, the views are stupendous and the air and climate are perfect for growing outstanding fruit. Organic olive oil has been produced on Ithaca as long as anyone can remember. The olives are cold-pressed by the local press to preserve all their healthy qualities and undergo only the one pressing. The acidity level is below 0.1%.
The oil is pure and translucent, a beautiful pale green in color, slightly sweet to the taste because of its low acid content, a little peppery, rich in Vitamin E, and a perfect accompaniment for salads, pasta dishes, or dipping in bread.
Chi nei tsang is a very effective and unique form of bodywork which works directly on the abdomen, organs and their associated emotions. The abdomen houses not only the internal organs but is also the place where you store all of your unresolved emotional issues, so the importance of this area to your overall health and well-being cannot be overstated.

Chi Nei Tsang helps to unwind tensions, releases negative emotions, relaxes, detoxifies, and restores a balanced energy flow to the abdominal area.
Your session lasts 75 minutes and includes an initial consultation, and will be tailored to your personal needs.
Thai massage is an ancient healing system that uses a combination of passive yoga stretches, stimulation, and manipulation along energy lines, compression, and acupressure. The treatment is carried out on a mat on the floor with the client fully dressed, and the body is compressed, pulled, stretched, and rocked in order to clear energy blockages and relieve tension. The practitioner uses not only hands, but also forearms, elbows, knees and feet to work the body of the recipient.
In this process, the elements and the flow of energy throughout the body are balanced, muscles are released and stretched, joints are opened, and internal organs are toned, inducing an overall feeling of deep relaxation, rejuvenation, physical, and mental well being.
Adriane’s, your therapist, Thai massage therapy sessions are always tailored to individual requirements with varying degrees of intensity to the massage. Sessions can include more dynamic elements such as rocking and shaking as well as more deep static compression on specific acupressure points. She also uses herbal compresses, liniments, and balms and incorporates cupping therapy. The full body session lasts 90 to 120 minutes while the half body session lasts 60 minutes.

A ferry boat from the port town of Sami or Poros will bring you to Piso Aetos on Ithaca. Alternatively, a sea taxi’s can be arranged to take you to Ithaca as well as drivers either side.
