Cyoga invites you to join a yoga holiday in The Dalyan delta is an area of immense natural beauty and has become one of Turkey’s most treasured natural conservation areas. Flanked by imposing mountains and pine-clad hills, the river spreads out into tributaries which are teeming with local wildlife, a naturalists paradise. Dalyan is located on the river, between Koycegiz Lake, where there are hot springs and natural mud baths the waters of which have healing properties, and delta, where the river meanders out to the Mediterranean.
All rooms at Spectrum Resort surround the swimming pool and have mountain views front and/or back, with en suite facilities (toilet, sink and shower), plus air conditioning and fly screens on the windows.
The resort has twin/double rooms to enable us to meet everyone’s requirements. These rooms are upstairs so have the added advantage of a balcony, with large French doors to take advantage of the the stunning surrounding views. These rooms also have en suite facilities and air conditioning.
All the rooms are loving created with unique and individual decorations, wall hangings with quotes and sayings such as ‘Tranquility – the peace that comes when energies are in harmony, relationships are in balance’ inspirational words surround you, positive words creates positive energy, and we are surrounded by positive, healing energy!
For those who wish to extend their stay, or even arrive early, should there be no rooms available and because the venue is exclusive for each weekly group, so with the group leader’s permission, we are able to offering alternative accommodation, like camping, wooden cabin, or yurt style tent, and even a Bedouin style room with separate bathroom facilities.
You will be lead to great physical posture and confidence to embrace to world as your own. The whole art of handstands provides perfect fitness. In the back bending, or opening the front of the body workshops you shall find great happiness, ease and a transforming consciousness. Backbends are magical. Backbends are transforming and handstands are about creating the life you love.
The morning sessions will be general yoga classes, a great start to your day. In the afternoon, you shall focus on handstands, backbends and Acro. In the handstand workshops, everyone shall find a place to be comfortable in some handstand variation and everyone shall find that they expand their abilities.
Beginners will be encouraged to find their first handstand, and all will experience the various ways to enter a handstand from kicking to the various pressing up ways (such as straddling, tucking up or pressing up), to finding movement within a handstand to learning the steps to one arm handstand.
You shall experience optimum handstand alignment, with partners and solo. You shall warm up the body, strengthen the abs and back muscles, open the shoulders and experience alignment in plank and in many handstand variations.
Sylvia has been practicing yoga since 2001 and over the years, has come to explore many different styles. Coming from a strong Asthana background and inspired by her teacher David Swenson, Sylvia has taken a huge amount from this practice which she passes on to her students with care, compassion and humor. She has practiced many other styles over the years including Dharma yoga, Jivamukti, Vinyasa flow, Yin and Acro yoga as well as circus based handstands and acrobatics. She also practices and teaches yoga Nidra.
World renowned yogi, Catie is the author of "This Is It, Enlightenment with CYoga and teaches master classes internationally. Catie shares a core approach that anything is possible. She is spontaneous with a highly original and integrated approach to yoga. Her dynamic energy connects with everyone, and she developed her own formless / form of yoga - Cyoga. Cyoga is this "Magic Moment of Involvement with Love/Yoga; brilliance in any situation.
Catie would describe herself as an organic vegan yoga coach (trained yoga therapist). She is based in Chelsea, London. Catie has a complete freedom approach and conducts all types of classes including one-on-one and group yoga, master classes and yoga training intensives at some of the worlds most naturally beautiful locations including Turkish gulets on the Azure sea, Italian farmhouses, presenting at the red rocks of Sedonas yoga Festival; anywhere and everywhere.
Many of the intensives she offers and co-creates with others are backbend and handstand focused. Backbends are transforming and handstands are about creating the life you love. She also has a strong hub of London yoga family, students and clients. Catie has studied many styles of yoga and handstands from the inside out and she is able to transform weaker areas in ones yoga practice to ones greatest strengths.
As the beach is a short distance away, Dalyan is a quiet, peaceful resort, if you like the type of resort where there are hotels on the beach and loud karaoke bars, this is not the place for you. However there are a few discos for those of you who are night owls in addition to mouth watering restaurants, some of which line the riverbank, and the village has a smattering of local bars, souvenir shops and cafes

You will be served traditional Turkish vegetarian village style meals - simple but nutritious and tasty - mostly home or locally grown and organic.
The food at Spectrum Turkey is simple village-style Turkish food which is delicious, tasty and healthy. Traditional Turkish food is at the center of our philosophy using home grown food (fruit and vegetables) and many local organic market gardener ingredients. The menus are drawn from Turkey’s rich culinary traditions and centuries - old village food preparation methods. You will dine alfresco, with views of the surrounding mountains and sky at night - perfect.
Teas and instant coffees plus water are included in your holiday - there are also facilities where you can make your own teas and coffee, or help yourself to cold water. Soft drinks from the fridge are available on a trust basis ( you write it on your individual tab). Fresh juice and a cup of filter coffee, for those who need their caffeine fix, is included at breakfast.
Cafe latte, espresso, cafetieres etc, smoothies, soft drinks, home-made lemonade, Ayran (yoghurt drink), fresh orange and pomegranate juice, wine, beer and spirits are not included in the price.

"The yoga retreat in Turkey was amazing for both body and soul! The setting was absolutely beautiful; surrounded by mountains, organic plantations of pomegranate, and the sea close by. The weather was sunny and the food was delicious!But most importantly, the yoga classes were fantastic! Catie taught an invigorating yoga class in the morning where one could really push oneself to the limit, while Ieva taught a playful Acroyoga class in the afternoon where we worked in either pairs or trios. To complement everything, the atmosphere between people was really nice! So all in all, this was an amazing holiday that I would really recommend!"

"This retreat was blissful for the body and soul! The setting was absolutely beautiful, the weather was sunny, and the food was delicious. But most important, the yoga classes were fantastic. There was an invigorating Vinyasa yoga class in the morning and a playful, fun, and challenging Acro-yoga class in the afternoon. In the Acro-yoga class we worked in pairs (base and flyer) and trios (with the added spotter). You have to trust your yoga partner (so very good for control issues) and face your concerns about being able to do certain positions (again, a very good metaphor for life). The teacher, Ieva, and her partner, Dino, bring a fantastic energy to the class (and a very cool soundtrack as well). I can honestly say I had an amazing week, with amazing people and I left feeling full of yoga love. Im definitely going to book another retreat with UpSideDownYoga!"

"I was quite apprehensive about going on the UpSideDown Yoga Holiday. I hadn't been on this sort of holiday before. However, my nervousness melted away in the warmth of a great bunch of people. All levels of ability were accommodated. I learnt so much from everyone there and from being part of the group. We also had a good amount of unstructured time to explore the beauty of our location. There was a good balance of group time and individual time. There was also a good contrast provided by the two types of yoga being taught; one was individual yoga and the other was partner yoga. This was great because we had class time to concentrate on our own yoga practice and also class time to have fun learning to do Acro yoga together. It meant there was a lot of variety. The food was wonderful and the teaching was inspirational. It has really given me more enthusiasm for the wonderful thing that yoga is!"

"I first met Ieva when I went to Turkey for the UpSideDown yoga holiday. I didn't know what to expect. I'm glad I did go, because I had a wonderful time, she is such a wonderful person and excellent yoga teacher. The whole experience was perfect; the people in the group, the place and the yoga teachers. I highly recommend any of her yoga classes and I'm definitely going again next year."

"This yoga holiday was my first one of its kind and I wasnt sure about what to expect especially in terms of food and accommodation, with regards to the yoga practice I already knew Catie for one year, however I had never met Ieva or her style, I completely trust Catie and I knew I would like her. Catie and Ievas personal styles make the perfect combination. All the yoga sessions were perfectly put together and so much fun. We all grew a lot in every possible way. I am definitely going back!"
