Practise yoga in the morning in the Himalayan mountains at sunrise. Then we will have a wonderful trek in the foothills of the Himalayas near Pokhara. One of the most stunning destinations in the world. From the top of Poon Hill, you will have panoramic views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Himchuli and Machapuchre mountains. This trek starts and ends in Pokhara - moderate walking 4 to 5 hours daily. At the start of every day, you will have an hour of yoga exercises with yogic movements, postures and breathing practices to prepare the body and mind for the day ahead. On the trail, you will be mesmerized by the beauty of the majestic Himalayas, and the different types of exotic floras and faunas, glacier rivers and incredible scenery.
You will be accommodated at Hotel Nepalaya (3 stars) in Kathmandu, lodge / teahouse during the trek, and Kumari Star in Pokhara.
During your stay at Hotel Nepalaya, there will be satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and restaurant.
During your stay at Kumari Star, there will be flat-screen cable TV, en-suite bathrooms, balconies, air-conditioner, room service, and restaurant.
Teahouses are essentially small hotels found in local villages that offer both a place to sleep as well as home-cooked meals. Most rooms are shared with two small cots that have mattress, pillows, and sheets. Blankets are also available upon request but might not live up to your expectation of cleanliness. The walls are pretty thin so noise carries and bringing earplugs to get a good night sleep is recommended. You might also want to bring your own pillowcase to put on the pillow just in case.
The trekking route is not that convenient and at times you have to walk through zigzag tracks and bends. For that, it is essential to have light exercises before and at middle of the trip. In every two hours of continuous walk, you will pause and stretch your bodies to refresh. Poon Hill yoga trek allows you to enjoy trek and yoga at the same time in Nepal’s Himalayan outback.
After landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) in Kathmandu from your designated destinations, you will be received by a representative of the travel company at the arrival gate who will then transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore or relax at the hotel. Overnight will be at a hotel.
Your second day in Kathmandu will start with Kathmandu sightseeing trip and you will be taken towards Kathmandu Durbar (Palace) Square, one of the heritage sites where you can view many historical and cultural monuments. Later, you will visit another heritage site known as Pashupatinath Temple. This is a sacred Hindu Temple of Lord Shiva named which is always crowded by Hindu pilgrims. After lunch, visit to Buddhist pilgrimage Swoyambhunath (famous by the name of Monkey temple among tourists) will be carried forward. Likewise, Boudhanath Shrine will be covered by the evening. After concluding the sightseeing, there will be seminar for you to attend to discuss about the upcoming trekking plans. Overnight will be at a hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will board a tourist bus which will take you towards Pokhara, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. During this six to seven-hour bus ride, you can see Trishuli River along the way. You will reach Pokhara during the early afternoon hours. After lunch, you can wander around the beautiful lake city known for enthralling spectators with its superb mountain views and walk around the lake side. Overnight will be at a hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will start your exploration towards the magnificent Ghoreani - Poonhill. You will be dropped at Naya Pul after an hour and half vehicle ride. You will slowly but steadily start a climb towards Birethanti, a cultural town beside the Modi River. During the mid-day, you will reach Sudami followed by Hile to make the final stop of the day at Tikhedunga. Overnight will be at a lodge.
This is where the fun begins. After a long previous day, you will still have to wake up early despite any concerns and after breakfast and morning yoga, the day gets going right away towards Ulleri Village. You will enjoy walking on the day’s trails as they are scenic offering amazing views of Himalayan ranges to its north. After few hours, the trails will lead you towards rhododendron and oak forests before reaching Ghorepani. Overnight will be at a lodge.
This is the most interesting day of the trip, as you pull your socks up to hike towards Poon Hill early in the morning. The trails will lead you towards aromatic pine and rhododendron forests. You will have to pace up so that you will reach Poon Hill to witness the most spectacular sunrise view. After hiking for an hour you will reach your first allotted destination of the day. You can wander around the place and stretch your limbs with the magnificent sunrise view. Also, if you look to your north you will see the terrific views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Himchuli, and Machhapuchhre. You can have your morning yoga in Poon Hill itself that morning. After spending some good time at the magnificent hill, the trek heads towards Tadapani.
After morning yoga and breakfast at the lodge and leaving Tadapani behind, on the day, you will walk on descending trail towards Baisi Kharka. Crossing few streams and passing through some forests, you will reach Ghandruk, a beautiful ethnic village known for providing excellent views of Annapurna South. Overnight will be at a lodge.
This is the last but the not least day of the trek. After your morning yoga, this is going to be an exciting day as you will have to descend almost all times to reach Nayapul, the initial place of the trek. In between the route, you will pass beautiful landscapes and grasslands. Later in the afternoons, you will reach Nayapul from where you will be picked up for a drive towards Pokhara for an overnight stay. Overnight will be at a hotel.
You will drive back to Kathmandu by a tourist bus, today. Driving back to Kathmandu is a great fun as it offers wonderful views of beautiful rivers, landscapes, and traditional villages on your way back. Upon reaching Kathmandu, Conscious Living will organize a farewell dinner at an authentic Nepali restaurant. The traditional dances and cultural shows at the restaurants would be a great opportunity to understand the Nepali culture and tradition. After the dinner, you will get back to the hotel for the overnight stay.
As per your flight timings, you will be escorted by one of the representatives of Conscious Living to the international terminal at the Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) approximately three hours before your flight schedule from your hotel in Kathmandu. A day to bid farewell to the glorious country situated in the South Asia. While waiting for your flight, you can make plans to venture other destinations of the majestic country in near future.

Please book your flight to arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM). Most countries (please check when booking your ticket) can get a visa on arrival in Nepal for either 30 days or 90 days. From Kathmandu, you can either take a 30-minute flight for between 75 - 100 USD to Pokhara. This flight goes directly across the Himalayas and is a super cheap version of the scenic tour flights around. If you would like to take the scenic route through some amazing mountain ranges and rivers, take the bus.
