Villa Bodhi is a place where art and nature merge seamlessly, and time seems to slow down.
Your spacious private villa is a haven to enjoy the delights of Bali, located amid lush gardens and jungle in the Balinese countryside, here you will find antique furniture and art, modern comforts and amenities, and a gorgeous saltwater infinity pool overlooking the valley.
Villa Bodhi consists of 4 cottages, each unique in their own way, equipped with modern appliances and amenities for luxurious comfort, air conditioning and fan, room safe, refrigerator, Wi-Fi, and local amenities.
It is recommended to arrive to the retreat between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to join the opening sacred circle and welcome dinner, starting at 5 p.m. The next day and for the rest of the week, wake up at dawn to start the day with a serene smiling meditation and later tea, coffee and fresh fruit will be served for a light breakfast. A little later we will share a deep yoga practice on the wooden joglo overlooking a stunning jungle valley, followed by a delicious breakfast served under the shade of the trees in the beautiful garden.
After breakfast, three mornings will be used for a memorable excursion tour to one of the many beautiful spots the island has to offer, leaving two mornings for creative workshops.
After a delicious lunch, youll have free time to enjoy, explore quaint neighboring villages and surroundings, pamper yourself with a body treatment, read a book, go for a swim or just be.
Then, in the afternoon the group will meet again for yoga Nidra or a relaxing restorative yoga practice.
Sunsets are blissed with a nature guided walk followed by a sunset special treat, and a Five Rhythm guided dance will follow. A delicious Balinese dinner lovingly prepared by the Villa's chef will be served, and after dinner enjoy a tranquil night swim, soulful moment with friends or gaze at the stars, before tucking yourself to into bed whilst listening to the soothing sounds of the jungle. On departure day, join the closing sacred circle at 8 a.m., followed by breakfast and farewell to your new friends.
The Ubud Tour will take you to coffee plantations, the Tegallalang rice terraces, and monkey forest Youll also explore Ubud market and temples. The Banjar hot springs and Buddhist temple tour will show you the largest Buddhist temple in Bali, and includes a visit to Kekeran rice terraces and hot springs.
Bali, the island of the Gods, is a lush tropical island paradise blissed with rainforests, volcanoes, rivers, waterfalls and miles of amazing coastlines, traditional dance, elegant temples, emerald-green rice terraces, beautiful people, mystical traditions, and a vibrant artistic culture. Its a majestic place where you will connect to the beauty within you and gift yourself a week of pure joy! Villa Bodhi is located in the traditional village of Banjar Bukian in Payangan. Only 60 families live there, so it is easy to soak up authentic Balinese culture, including elaborate temple ceremonies, gamelan music, and the beautiful warmth of the locals.

Three daily delicious and healthy meals in the villa prepared by the chef or at restaurants are included, also complimentary tea, coffee, fruit and snacks throughout the day. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian options are available, and special dietary requirements can be accommodated.
There are numerous art galleries in Ubud, the two best being Neka and ARMA. On Sunday mornings ARMA is also the venue for childrens traditional dancing classes, a delight to watch.
Most nights of the week there are dance performances in the various temples in Ubud. The tourist office on the corner of Jalan Raya and Monkey Forest Road has details, and there are often ticket sellers in the streets. The tourist office will also have a notice about any major ceremonies in the neighborhood, especially cremations. Do go to see one if you get the chance. You will not be intruding as they are very public occasions.
Make a point of exploring some of the little side roads in Ubud; they are charming. The cycling tours are great fun: they take you up to Kintamani and you cycle back down on little roads. You can also try jewelry making, drumming / gamelan classes, dance classes (traditional, belly and, occasionally, salsa or tango), horse riding, or cooking. Water sports and sea-based activities are available, with excellent diving, snorkeling, and surfing.
Car and bike rentals are relatively inexpensive, depending on the car and the length of hire.
Bali is a beautiful island and touring around is a delight. It is recommended to hire a car and driver rather than cope with sight-seeing and unpredictable traffic. A great option for a day trip include the royal baths at Tirtaganga and the lovely rice terrace scenery, via Klunkgung with its palace and little museum, Besakih temple, Kintamani, Munduk, and Amed.
On the other side of Ubud, the village of Pejeng is home of a temple with the famous drum known as the Moon of Pejeng. From there, its short drive to Goa Gajah, the elephant cave from the first kingdom of Bedulu, where you can enter the cave to view the Statue of Ganesha.
Visit the elephant safari park at Taro Village, 40 minutes away from Villa Bodhi. Ubud and its well-known cultural attractions is just 20 minutes south of the Village of Tiyingan, where you can find many local attractions, cultural performances and many shops and restaurants.
For the sporty types, practice white water rafting in Sobek on the Ayung River, located 10 minutes from the villa. About 90 minutes away is Kintamani, with a famous lake and mount Batur. Further south there is also the excellent Bali Bird Park, about 30 minutes from the Villa on the road to Denpasar.
Enjoy three divine body treatments with highly trained massage therapists: Ayurvedic, Balinese, and foot reflexology.
